I've seen the tyranid strat described incorrectly in like every review. It requires you to have control of the objective. You do not gain control of an objective in your movement phase by moving onto it, you only gain control of it at the end of the phase. So in order to use it, you have to start the turn on it in your command phase.
It’s worded better this way, so you can have a lictor control it at start and then do a drive by with a warrior. Your warriors don’t have to sit on it.
