    Some beautiful plants as always. I'd not heard about adding larger chunks to the potting medium, but I'll perhaps give that a try next time I'm doing some repotting. Thanks for sharing 🙂🌵💚

    Interesting... You would never do that when repotting a plant like a tomato. Good to know cacti require different treatment and soil mixture to keep the root systems happy.

    • @Cactimania
      @Cactimania  6 месяцев назад +1

      They're very tough plants. I've had to completely remove the entire root system off some in the past for various reasons, doesn't take them long to recover and regrow them. Thanks for watching and commenting 🌵☀️🌼🌺🏜

      @@Cactimania I've always loved cacti and succulents. I have plenty house plants but only 2 cacti. I built an extra windowsill and I want to fill it with small cacti and succulents. For now, absorbing all the knowledge I can. 👍 Thanks for the informative videos.

    Beautiful cacti. I have 2 cacti that are similar to the one you didn't know the name but one of them has pink spines and the other has different "waves" 😅 so I guess I don't have one of that kind. Good luck in finding it. Love the repotting videos. 😊

    Hey just been watching some of your old Videos, what is the best top dressing for Cactus, pumice/akadama/grit?, i mainly grow gymnos

    • @Cactimania
      @Cactimania  Месяц назад

      Lava rock or Zeolite are the main ones I use for top dressing. I occasionally use Akadama for the Haworthia. Thanks for watching and commenting 🌵☀️🌸🌼🌺🏜

      Sorry for the late reply. I can't remember the brand of it, Edith got it for me a long time ago. You can use any, though. If it's a bit strong just use less of it. Thanks for watching and commenting 🌵☀️🌺🌸🌼🏜

    You are still leaving too much old soil on those roots though.
