A wonderful repotting video, Daz, and nice to see how good and happy all your cacti look when they find themselves potted up in the new substrate and deep pots! Indeed, growing these specific species in deep pots, is really important for the normal development of their tap roots. Great job and thanks for sharing my friend! Very best cactus regards to both you and Edith, take care and happy growing of course!
Thank you so much, Joe 😊 Glad you enjoyed the video. Thanks for watching and commenting my friend. Have a lovely evening from Edith & myself and happy growing as always 🌵☀️🌸🌼🌺🏜
Nice lophos!!! Love the big caespitosa with all the little offsets coming out of every areole!! Makes me wonder sometimes if it should be classified as a " monstrose form" very cool!!! Yeah ,I would have left those guys together also, looks cool!! That little one looks like a caespitosa also. Lots of little offsets!!! Yeah I use limestone in my Chihuahua desert plants also. I think it's a good idea to give them a bit of what they grow on in nature . The Ariocarpus included. Thanks for sharing your awesome Ariocarpus and lophos!!! From Morris Park in the Ozarks, to the UK 🇬🇧 and Singapore 🇸🇬 have a wonderful day!!! Peace, Love, Plants!!!✌️💖🌵🌷🌴💐🍀🌿🌱🌸🌳🪴🌻🌹🌾😃👍
Thank you so much, Clyde 😊 Yeah that one is very cool looking. Hopefully they all enjoy the new mix with the limestone included. Thank you for watching and commenting my friend. Have a lovely day and weekend from Edith & myself to you and Deb 🌵☀️🌼🌺🌸🏜
Cheers, Ziggy 😊 That's great you've just repotted yours, too. Thank you for watching and commenting my friend. Have a lovely day and weekend from Edith & myself to you and Jackie 🌵☀️🌼🌺🌸🏜
Something special about kotschoubeyanus, i really like those, i have a few pots of seedlings with those, we will see in a few years :p. Lovely plants mate well done!
Thank you, Nick 😊 I've got a few Ariocarpus seedlings in the grow tent but they've been super slow growing, even after 4 years they're still very small. Thanks for watching and commenting 🌵☀️🌼🌺🌸🏜
@@Cactimania I try to follow this Hanazono tecnique, with low light and humidity dome for 1-2 years for ariocarpus. His results are good. But i will prob screw it up in some way ^^
I love watching the repotting. I don't think I've ever seen any plants like those last 3 you unpotted. I never get all the names 😅 I am a big cactus and succulents fan though. 😊
Wonderful Ariocarpus and Lophophora cacti Daz, nicely repotted in fresh soil mix and bigger pots! Thanks for sharing! Have a great day and weekend Daz and Edith!
Woohoo! I love these plants, Sweetheart! They are some of my very faves. They love your mix. Just seeing their chubby tap roots makes me smile widely - all the way up to my ears. 😂 Oh they will love the new addition to your mix. They will be in these new pots for another five years. 😆Enjoyed watching with you, as always. ❤🌸🌺🌼💚
Thank you so much my love 🥰 They are some of my favs, too. I'm hoping they'll like the added limestone to their mix. I'll see how they get on during this growing season. Haha yeah they'll be in those pots for a while I reckon. Enjoyed watching with you too, babe. Thank you for all your love, support and encouragement always ❤️🌵☀️🤗😘❤️
Those roots are already celebrating with the new repotting 🥳 Nice collection of Lophs !! They look very healthy, big taproots! Amazing Ariocarpus too !! I love these types of cactus 🤩 Thanks for sharing those gems Daz 😎 Nice weekend for you and Edith 🤙🌵
Thank you so much 😊 Lophs are one of my favourites. Enjoy growing them seed as well but not Ariocarpus, way too slow lol. Thanks for watching and commenting. Have a lovely day and weekend from Edith & myself 🌵☀️🌼🌺🌸🏜
The pots are 8cm wide at the top and 9cm deep. Ian's Haworthia sell pretty much identical ones to these and in different sizes. Thanks for watching and commenting 🌵☀️🌼🌺🏜
Some beautiful plants there Daz, I love the Caespitosa Lophophora, and that tiny Ariocarpus is just beautiful. Thanks for sharing the repotting video, I'm glad it's not just me that sometimes pots things up too high in the pot! 🙂🌵💚
Thank you my friend 😊 Haha no I do it quite often and have to reposition the plant. It'll bug me for ages if I don't! Thank you for watching and commenting. Have a lovely day from Edith & myself 🌵☀️🌼🌺🌸🏜
Those are nice pots. Its ok to trim the roots. trimming the roots when repotting is a good practice. it actually helps reduce rot. of course there's some good videos on it here on youtube.
WOW what an AWESOME Loph and Ariocarpus repotting Daz, they are all beauties and all look so nice and plump and healthy, and I LOVE their chunky tap roots, and you Loph that is pupping out of its body everywhere is incredibly AMAZING, and we LOVE those deep pots you have, they are so PERFECT for cacti with tap roots, they all look so brilliant all re potted, thanks so much for sharing the repotting with us Daz, and Hans and I are sending you and beautiful Edith lots of love and happiness and PLANT POWER to England and Singapore for a fantastic Friday today XXXX
Thank you so much, Lyn 😊 Hopefully they'll enjoy this mix a little better with the added limestone. Yeah these pots are perfect for cacti like this. I'll have to get some more 😁 Thank you for watching and commenting as always, Lyn. Have a wonderful day and upcoming weekend from Edith & myself to you and Hans ❤️🌵☀️🌼🌺🌸🏜
Brilliant Daz! Gorgeous lophs you’ve got and I like the bobbly one with all the babies. Hahaha great vid and thanks for sharing. I’m sure them tap roots will love that extra depth. 🌵🌵🌵🌵❤️

I have started to reuse it now. Does seem a waste to throw it away, especially since the prices of it has increased. Thanks for watching and commenting 🌵☀️🌺🌼🌸🏜
Lovely looking lophs. One of mine is over due a repot but I've been putting it off because it has tiny seedlings coming up in the pot, I didn't want to disturb them until they're a bit bigger, maybe I should.. What kind of issues does a curling taproot cause?
A curling taproot can potentially cause rot issues later on and they are pretty much impossible to uncoil. I had a Copiapoa with a badly coiled taproot when I bought it which was in a pot several sizes too small, it was almost like the taproot was strangling itself. Unfortunately I lost that plant because of it. Thank you for watching and commenting 🌵☀️🌼🌺🏜
@Cactimania Brilliant, thanks for the information. It's in a 9cm deep pot, so hopefully it isn't too bad. It's my oldest/biggest lophophora, so I think to be safe I'll give it some new shoes soon. Cheers! 🌵
@@Cactimania I meant the square ones they were in before the transplant(the duo and the oddball). I have very similar containers. They're about 7.6cm (3in) tall. Certainly bigger than the 2.5cm(1in) I bought them in. How long you reckon they'll be before they need a transplant from the 8cm? 2 years?
@@Cactimania cool thanks. I'm just waiting for this flowering to finish. Been recording for 4 days.. Today will be the 5th. I have some great source material. I'll have the time lapse up in a few days
