I’m pretty sure the engine is good enough to get boosted but you definitely need to do some pre work before installing the turbo kit. I recommend you reaching out to super six speed motor sport and get the cams reground, and your heads polished. Once you get that down you should also swap the rear with a 8.8 from a get mustang. And than you could get the turbo kit. Yes it’s gonna cost lost of money and you’re gonna find out that no one wants to work on the 4.0 mustang. But if you give it some love I can see the car making 400 hp -450 hp
But also I wanna hear what auto mafia think of installing a rear turbo kit for the 4.0 mustang since it is a different kind of engine
4.0 are junk and not worth modifying.
If you want to spend the money on turboing one that's up to you but it's still not gonna make much hp
There may be a reason i may not be seeing, but wouldn't it be better to mount a small oil tank in the trunk to feed the turbo? That way the risk of cross contamination or oil line failure is removed as fatal to the engine? Lower oil temperature to turbo, longer turbo life as a result of cleaner oil, plus the option of running a turbo specific oil? Im considering getting this kit and will likely do this if there's no immediate reason not to, another thing to consider would be one of the new oil less turbos, is there anything that would prevent using one of these with this kit
Weve never seen an oil line failure. Yes we could 100% substitute a comp oil-less and air cooled turbo. We would have done that fromt he begining except that it takes away the best feature of the kit, the fact that its cheap.
Yeah I have a 4.0 and know plenty of people running their 4.0 in different set ups. I am running 100 shot nitrous on mine but I think I am going to go with a rear mount turbo set up and lower my nitrous shot.

No market for it.
Not everyone has 3k to spend on a turbo kit. Nothing low buck about spending 3k.
3k is stupid cheap. So ya it's low buck for a turbo kit considering the turbo is $1000 alone.

As far as ride height goes where should my car be. It's not so low as to it touching the ground but it's not factory ride height either.

Will it clear speed bumps if your car is lowered?
I mean depends HOW low the car is. Its a VERY thick pipe so we dont worry about it scrapping.
Were the stock cats kept?
They can be kept or it can be ran with long tubes or however you want really.

Will I need extra vacuum tubes and something to extend the length of the wires for the oil pump(or fuel pump if thats what the blue wire connects to)?
You will need to get the 4 pin relay and wire to extend the wire length for the pump .
We send vacuum line to run to the bov and wg. The wiring you will have to grab yourself.

It can be made to work, the rear mount kit.
A 2008 is not a 3.7 Mustang, bud that's why it says 2011 that's the first year for the 3.7. If you got an '08 V6 Stang you have the 4.0 liter.

Boost can be set from 4 psi to 20 psi depending on how much power you want
