I worked at Red Lobster for 3 years in the late 90s. This is how they made them: They took their biscuit mix, mixed with water (not milk), and the cheap shredded cheddar cheese they used on the salads, mixed that, they used a small ice cream scooper to scoop the batter out on a baking pan. Once they took the biscuits out of the oven they brushed them with the Red Lobster shrimp scampi butter sauce and served them right away!
I just made these to go with tonight's Boiled Dinner. They are a Very Nice and Very Easy Recipe. I did use 3 Cup of Bisquick and 1 Cup of Milk to make larger Biscuits in 2 - 6 Cup Muffin Tins cooking in a Convection Oven ( Oven Died and Don't have the money to Replace). I also added about a Teaspoon of Parmesan Cheese to the Butter & Parsley Drizzle. Very Moist!!!
@stylista19 Glad you liked the recipe, what is nice about these is that you can control the amount of butter you pour over them in the fat bothers your stomach
@unagiroll I think that stuffing these or mixing in another ingredient would be great in these. I don't see why you couldn't make them ahead of time. thanks for stopping by.
I've made these for years. My sons always called them ugly biscuits and would make them disappear before dinner if they knew I baked them. Definitely our most favorite side to go with casseroles.
This is awesome. I love red lobster biscuits. I’m gonna do this every week now praying it don’t raise my blood pressure higher than it is. Thanks for sharing
Hey Tammy! I know this is an old video, but I would recommend trying the butter topping with ranch dip powder instead of garlic!... Now that's a real copycat! Ranch dip mix is the key to recreating the biscuits AND the shrimp scampi!!!!
@Indiana1384 Thanks so much for letting me know you tried these! I really do enjoy hearing from people that enjoy the recipes I post, it's what makes YT fun for me.
@anmoose The dough is very sticky! You need to use the "two spoon" method, scoop with one and push off the glob of dough onto the pan with the other. Glad you enjoyed them John. :)
AHHH! I love you! I've only been to Red Lobster once in my life, and it was when I was on vacation, so when I went there I grabbed some of the biscuits and stuffed them in my purse and ate them on the plane back. That's how much I loved them. I never even thought about finding a similar recipe online. Thank you soooo much for uploading this! ♥
@popparoc46 1. Same taste, one is fine like powder the other like sand, they can pretty much be used interchangeably. 2. My cookie sheet has a missing edge because it is designed so that you can just tilt the cookie sheet and slide the completed cookies off onto a plate, but that never works. 3. Bisquick also makes good pancakes and not bad pizza dough. 4. This was for Moosie, remember our conversation at Red Lobster, I mention this in yesterday's vlog. -tam
Did a chicken stirfry today, and made biscuits. A half recipe makes 4 *healthy* biscuits, and the hardest part of it is licking all the leftover dough off your fingers. That stuff sticks like glue! I ate all 4 of them, and that garlic butter, IMHO, adds a finishing touch that Red Lobster should be jealous of. They're absolutely delish! And they'll be adding to my cholesterol count regularly now. LOL
Next time you make these, try putting some dill or basil and oregano in them. Then when they come out of the oven, brush them with melted butter. So good! I even put a tad bit of garlic powder in the biscuits too.
I make these biscuits probably once a week for the family, but I like to add some onion powder to the melted butter, as well as adding some of the garlic powder and onion powder to the biscuit mix itself. I find they come out a lot more flavorful this way, and I don't have to use as much butter on top!
So I made these with pancake mix (strange yes, but I ran out of bisquik! ). I kept the recipe the same other than that, and they turned out pretty good. I made some tomato basil soup to dip/eat with them on the side, and it was great. (biscuits turned out very slightly sweat--but is balanced out by the soup ^_^ )
OH MY GOD! These taste amazing...I have never been to Red Lobster but friends who tried them said they love these biscuits better! These vanished in 15minutes out of the oven.
Just a few helpful tips, top the dough with a pinch of salt right before you bake it. I used to work there and that's really all they do besides what you're doing. Also, try crumbling up your cheese so that it's not long strands. :) THIS IS PRETTY SPOT ON THOUGH... YOU ARE AMAZING!!
@yoyomax12 I still can not get over how good these biscuits are! My Mother is a huge fan of Red Lobster and I plan on making these for her. I'm so glad you make videos like these, they are very easy to follow! I really appreciate it! Thanks again!!!
I know these have to be good, they are bread, cheese and garlic, all my fav food groups ; ) I agree hot biscuts are always best. Thanks for sharing this.
I made these last night and they were delicious, so good in fact that I was asked if I stopped at Red Lobster and ordered some to go;) Thanks for the recipe!
Wow - no kneading or rolling or anything! Easy breezy. I'll try that for sure. We do eat buscuits this time of year. They go so well with stew and chili and soup. Great recipe = thanks! Oh and I just read in your notes about home made bisquick - good idea!
I used a similar recipe you did, but I had no idea about the parsley or the 5 minutes after adding the butter mixture. I definitely need to try that tomorrow.
@karreekay I also love copycat recipes, I tried a Kentucky Fried chicken coating recipe the other day (didn't film it though) and it was very good, but not really close.
Wow, I'm such a fan of yours Tammy (as you know) and the funny thing is, when I typed for this recipe, it never dawned on me that YOU might have put it on youtube. Next time, I'm checking your channel beforehand. Thank you for this recipe!
I recognized the Canadian accent, as well! I apparently had/have one, as well! I've been in the states for 7 yrs though so I think it's fading. Anyway, I was wondering have you ever tried stuffing these (w/ chicken or something)? Also, do you know if I can make the dough ahead of time, refrigerate it, and then bring to room temp, and then bake? thnx!
Thanks! I only have one question. If you make them a little bigger, how many would you get? I think about 2 heaping table spoons is what I'm looking for, because I'm making them for my birthday party next Saturday! I have about 20 people coming so please tell me if I need to double the recipe!
@megsweetie17 Look for a copycat recipe for bisquick online if you don't want to use it. Bisquick just isn't flour (it contains, salt baking powder/soda and fat)

Love your super easy recipe! They turn out so delicious! Made them multiple times. 😋
Putting in about a teaspoon or so of garlic powder into the mix before adding the milk is what I do when I make mine. Makes them taste a lot better!
This is the recipe I use too. It's delicious, and people have asked me specifically to bring a batch of these to parties!
Loved it! Straight to the point, no over kill. Your biscuits look delicious!
@PepperBabe It is call Bisquick, that is the brand name and it is found in the baking aisle of my grocery store.
@stylista19 Glad you liked the recipe, what is nice about these is that you can control the amount of butter you pour over them in the fat bothers your stomach

I think that’s the key right there!
thank you so much for taking the time to help people out
@Indiana1384 Thanks so much for letting me know you tried these! I really do enjoy hearing from people that enjoy the recipes I post, it's what makes YT fun for me.
@Garnet77 Next time if you use the disposable sheet make sure you grease it really well with shortening or vegetable spray
@anmoose The dough is very sticky! You need to use the "two spoon" method, scoop with one and push off the glob of dough onto the pan with the other.
Glad you enjoyed them John. :)

i've come back to make these again!! thank youuuu!!!
Thanks for the recipe. Looks delicious. Mixing is much eaiser and faster if you use a bigger bowl.
These are awesome. I've made them 3 times already, and they come out delicious every time.
@jiffy59 You are welcome, thanks for stopping by. :)
Those look so onolicious. can't wait to try this recipe. Mahalo!
@KissHope That sounds sooo good. When I travel to the southern US I can hardly wait to have gravy and biscuits!
@popparoc46

@cuti3muffiN They are cheese scone like, but have the butter and garlic over top!
@lip2tip Glad you enjoyed the recipe, they are quite good!
@1992jbrian Glad you enjoyed them and thanks for letting me know!
Next time you make these, try putting some dill or basil and oregano in them. Then when they come out of the oven, brush them with melted butter. So good! I even put a tad bit of garlic powder in the biscuits too.
@race13girl That is my cow kettle and it was a wedding gift many years ago. thanks for watching

Oh, my god. I just made this, and it turned out perfect!! Thanks for sharing! I had garlic powder, and it was amazing!!

I just LOVE these biscuits!!!!
@misslavey Great suggestion for reducing the butter without losing taste
@wildheart5 I find that the homemade ones are REALLY close to the restaurant ones, if they don't use buisquik they use something similar for sure.
Wow - no kneading or rolling or anything! Easy breezy. I'll try that for sure. We do eat buscuits this time of year. They go so well with stew and chili and soup. Great recipe = thanks! Oh and I just read in your notes about home made bisquick - good idea!
Cool! What is Facs? Family studies?
I used a similar recipe you did, but I had no idea about the parsley or the 5 minutes after adding the butter mixture. I definitely need to try that tomorrow.
Someone told me they were made with Bisquick and I couldn't believe it! Those look great Tammy!

Delicious Cheddar Bay Biscuits( Copycat Red Lobster)
@amazingbanana101 thanks!
Thanks for the recipe
@audionautix These are best right out of the oven, I'm not a fan of them the next day, that's when they are crumbly.
@mattsthoughts2010 Yes, Canadian and we don't think we have an accent, lol.
@MerelyMandolin We don't have Appplebee's here! Wish we did, the food in the commercials I see on tv looks good. :)
I've been making these for years. I think they are way better then Red Lobster. :) Thanks for sharing.
@kauaigurrl We don't have Krispy Kreme doughnuts here in my part of the world, I wouldn't have an idea if they tasted close or not, lol.
