This video is on the shingling method for natural hair! You guys know I loooovee the shingling method and how easy it is to define each of my curls. Just learned about the shingling method a couple of days ago myself. And am really loving it. As I have 2 totally different textures going on in my head(maybe more), and for sides around my ears and in the back. This is the best method I've found so far that really brings out my curl pattern. As the top and crown parts of my hair curl so easily with just water. But yea, I love the definition from 2 strand twists as well. Although my hair does NOT love twists. As I get knots so much more easily doing them though. :(
My frizz game is strong so I am trying this after washing tomorrow. So excited to give a go as the Denman brush gives great clumps, yet the frizz rears its ugly head day two. As all curlies know, the struggle is REAL! Your results are beautiful! Thanks for the tips.
I Love the shingling method. I also love Cantu Curl activator. I use to use Shea Moisture and Deva Curl, but I found that Cantu works better and cost less.
yes! i love cantu curl activator. i tried the deva curl gel for the first time today $22 and it didnt do much defining or holding to my hair. sometimes expensive is not always better!
I ❤️ doing simple French braids, wait about 2-3 days, take those braids out and just simply wear the hair as is and use a wide tooth comb and kind of pic at the roots of your hair to get a puffy, curly look❤️

Shingling is my favorite right now. And Cantu & Eden are my go to products. Luv,luv,luv them.
Just tried the shingling method for the first and I love the results! I didn’t feel like it took that much more time. I will definitely do it again for my WNG.

I used to be a braidout/cornrow out type of girl, but I finally started to figure out wash and gos and I love it!

My favorite is a twist satin foam roller w Camille Rose. It can last a week.

I don't have a favorite. I've just started kinda getting the hang of WAG, but I'm lousy at styling! When i do a WAG, my hair stays white for a few hours (until the product dries into my hair). Then, i can only hope to have the "style" for 2 days.
The only way I've figured out to maintain the curly look is to sleep with my hair wet in a plastic cap. It's extremely uncomfortable, so i don't do it much. Otherwise, my hair smooshes to my head and song water just makes it frizzy.
Anyway thx for the tutorial. I've only just heard of the shingling method today and I'll try it that way next time.
I like to do a wash n go. But, since the top is flat, I two strand twist that area only. Love how yours turned out!

I am starting to do the shingling method. I like to do small braids not to small. And twist. My hair is graying and its soft. It does not stay braided it always comes loose almost half way. Thank you I enjoy watching you

I usually do twists but started to incorporate Bantu knots with twist outs

Styling tip: cocktail the Eco Styler Gel with the Cantu Coconut Oil Shine & Hold Mist for a softer definition and to seal in moisture. Like if it worked for you. 🙂

If you have low for us to hair I would not suggest you put anything with coconut in it unless you want you to feel like straw....

love this style, how long does it last without picking it out? How do you maintain, this style during the week?
6345789picket this will last me about 2 weeks. Really it can last longer I just choose to wash my hair after 2 weeks. And I just wrap my hair in my silk scarf at night and the morning time I'll spray with water lightly and use an oil. 😘

Shalawam! I will be uploading but im not sure when. Ive been battling trying to find a balance. I want to upload but at a point in time it started feeling like i needed to do more and talk more about Yah and our people more than hair. I use my denman brush on small sections, then separate more if needed.. followed by a whole lot of shaking lol

LaCherea Buckner this took me about 1.5 hours. Of course I'm recording for you guys so it coulda been done quicker. But it lasts 5-7 days b4 I have to put it in a puff 😉❤
