Made a few tweaks to the car. went from 29t to 33t pinion and upped the timing on the motor. The gear worked out well but i don't think the motor likes any timing.
What toe do you use I’ve had a tt02 for years had it apart numerous times to sort out the constant pulling to the left when accelerating it will go straight at slow throttle but as soon as I give it a bit more it just veers to the left everytime . I’ve tried five different servos including expensive reefs servos nothings helped I’m only running a 19 turn brushed with a 25 tooth pinion on stock spur so no crazy brushless motor . It tracks straight as a die but as soon as I give it a bit of quick throttle it’s pulling hard to the left I’ve set the camber with the tamiya camber arms set at 1.5 to 2 degrees it’s got rear toe in of 2.5 degrees but the front seems to have too much toe in any help would be great .
Gearing is a bit of an art. its not as simple as saying use this and it will be great. you need to work on gearing depending on a number of factors. but simply its best to start at a 5.5FDR and work down from there.
Dear Stew, Happy New Year! Love your videos. What ESC did you use in the TT02? Looks like a Hobbywing. I am thinking to make a similar TT02 Speed Run build. Would you still recommend TT02 as an entry-level chassis for speed runs? Thank. you! Cheers
Yeah the TT02 makes for a great starter to speed runs. Heaps of options and cheap spares. The esc was a Hobbywing 8bl150. But honestly I prefer castle esc. The mamba monster X or the older mamba monster 2 are both really good.

You really need to get Castle Creations'SideWinder 3 ESC/Motor (7700kv) combo. Reason being is that you'll see speeds faster than 100km with ease. Expo is short for exponential. It a setting on the radio that makes the radio out put different to the trigger input. Basically is slows down the trigger pull so its not a hard at the start of the pull. In this case its still to slow and the car doesn't start picking up until I'm at 3/4 throttle.
That’s the process to keep going faster. You make a pass, check the speed, check motor and esc temps and if they are cool enough you add more load with more gearing.
