Originally composed by Howard Ashman and Alan Menken and released in 1989, Disney’s The Little Mermaid was one of the biggest musical influences of my childhood and is and will always be my favourite Disney animated, musical feature.
I’m so excited for the reimagined, live-action version that comes out this week and I wanted to honour Jodi and Halle for inspiring lots of kids (and adults) to use their imagination, follow their dreams and NEVER lose their voice.
