VIDEO INTRODUCTION: On the 5th of October 2022, the Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting Countries and its allies including Russia agreed to cut their production of oil by 2 million barrels a day. This is so much oil that it accounts for 2% of the entire world's oil supply and this can have some severe consequences on economies all across the world including the US, UK and India. Now considering the fact that both US and UK are already at the brink of a recession, this oil spike could escalate their situation to a disaster!!
Which is why, in response to it, the United states are passing something called the NOPEC bill!! and the UK govt is deploying something called Price cap strategy!! So in short, Russia, Middle east and the west are now engaged in an oil war that could decide the fate of the world economy in 2023!!!
    So the question is,
What exactly is OPEC and why are they cutting down their oil production?
What is this NOPEC bill all about?
What is UK's price cap strategy?
And most importantly, how will this oil war affect India and the world in the next 1 year???

Some economists have projected that both the U.S. and parts of Europe could slip into a recession for a portion of 2023. A global recession, defined as a contraction in annual global per capita income, is more rare because China and emerging markets often grow faster than more developed economies. Essentially the world economy is considered to be in recession if economic growth falls behind population growth.

You can still be 100% invested at this level. Good luck! I prefer to sell the bounce and keep 50% cash. I will not get back into the market more than 50% if S&P is not 30% lower from here. Although that doesn't seem very hard to switch away from. If Saudia offered to insure them, they could charge the same amount, and be pretty sure that they'll come away with the same kind of profit that the UK insurance company is coming away with.
Especially when the alternative is to suffer large losses in case of a recession.
It would be simpler if the UK etc. just made a deal with OPEC to continue buying oil at the current price for a few extra months, even if a recession results in lowered oil prices. That way, you're not forcing them to take losses on your behalf, and they don't have as much reason to try and sabotage you.

Secondly, the cost of putting up oil digging machineries & labour charge in USA is too high. And the crude oil becomes so expensive after it was refined, that cost of selling price would become 10x times higher than other OPEC countries oil price.
OPEC crude oil processing is easier than USA shell oil which produces toxic substances while refining it to get other petroleum products.

I actually disagree. OPEC is not an oil cartel because it acts and protects its interest. It's a western propaganda to call it a cartel because it does not serve their interest. There are countries in OPEC which have been exploited by western countries before they joined OPEC. OPEC gave these countries the money that is theirs and not to some western oil company that simply exploited a country's natural resources. An example is BP (British Petroleum) exploiting oil fields in African countries. They joined OPEC and got protection.

      only
      1. USA exports shale oil. lightweight oil. Most of the world's refineries are desgined for heavy crude that OPEC, venezuela etc sell.
      2. While you can just increase drilling and produce more oil with crude, that is not so easy with shale. You have to do fracking which is an extensive process and requires a lot of investment. Every new barrel of shale costs more than the previous one. So companies are not gonna just increase production.
      3. During COVID, demand for oil went negative. So oil companies massively decreased production. As mentioned above, not only does it take more time and effort to restart it, they are also not willing to do it. They want to ride the price rise and gain more profits just like every other oil company. And considering how much rights USA gives to these companies, they are not gonna increase production. Biden already tried. He even increased land grants for them. But despite all his efforts, these companies gave him a harder bitchslap than MBS. Which is also why he isnt gonna be able to argue jack in this "court" he wants to take saudis to because his own companies are doing it.
Fracking was started by USA in 1990's I believe, to combat this pricing manipulation. And it has had zero effect because of these reasons.
Not to mention, Biden is a democratic party candidate. If he goes gung ho on increasing oil, the progressives in his party will eat him alive, not a joke. And these prices are maintained because of the strategic reserve being opened, That aint gonna last forever. So yeah, Biden has screwed himself and the whole world. No thanks, boomer.

@@Matthew_Loutner that statement literally has no value whatsoever. I dont understand if americans actually dont have the capacity to think straight or you guys are just assuming everyone else is stupid and purposefully being facetious. Fracking dates back to 1800's but it was never in mass use in USA till the 80's and 90's. Because before 60's USA dominated oil markets. That is why OPEC was formed in the 60's. When Opec did a massive embargo in 70's deal was struck with them by Nixon owing to which they continue to sell oil in dollar in exchange for weapons. While this means they cant put an embargo on USA, they still ca affect oil prices by regulating output. Which is precisely what they did. That is why USA invested in fracking - to counter OPEC price manipulation. If americans actually focused on learning actual history instead of waging a war against education with CRT and whatnot, maybe we could begin with a sensible conversation and not waste time educating you on what should be common knowledge

As a trader/investor, I find gaps in the explanation (as forwarded by my friend), and let's not get caught up in the headline-making world news of the day today. Crude was $140 in 2008, and in 2021 the high it saw was $115. Crude is in a secular long-term bear market, and the US though having its own oil reserves, is not investing any more in drilling. With the latest inflation reduction act, the US will provide its consumers/people 30% of the expenses on solar installation. All this leads to the further fall of crude, especially now more so with the hike in interest rates as America wants to squeeze out excess liquidity in the global market (with 60% of its currency outside in the global markets) than in the US. Saudi Arabia is priced at $76 per barrel for the next year in its annual budget.

Great Video @Think School, also for folks looking to invest in Golden Pi, know this that the ROR is based on bonds issued & the lock in period ranges from 3yrs to 5+ yrs....that's a long locking period for Debt funds (bonds basically). My suggestion you are better off investing your money in passive / active mutual funds with returns higher than 10% instead of locking your funds for 3-5 yrs in bonds....I have tried this app myself and this is my feedback for those looking to download the app from the affiliate link.

Than why they don’t produce more? Waiting to the price going higher? The US is not kind to any other nation. But it’s sad that they let their own people suffer. And if we look the other side of this, they were spoiled to rotten using their cars or other vehicles to go to the bathroom? Walking a mile to school or to the next store to buy milk or bread it’s absolutely unacceptable to them. That store must be opened closer to my house! And you my friend Bhagath if you hold your breath just halfway as long as it would take to have cheaper gas, sorry to tell you, but you would be death of a long time ago.
