Built a small video studio in the 70s when portable equipment started to show up along with video cassettes. To record and edit like you can today was a dream. Your quality and techniques were unimaginable. I enjoy your work well aware and appreciative of your talent, skills, and creativity. Thank you for sharing your story.
You are so upbeat and fun to watch Anne. Can't wait to see part three and then all the content you will be producing with all your new toys.
It’s so fascinating to see how you put everything together and all by yourself.
Our son works at IKEA and weekdays and around 5 to 6 pm are slow times. He also helps customers pull products from the shelves. One common question is ‘ are there more back in the rear warehouse?’ IKEA first floor is the warehouse. Crazy place and the stories he tells are hilarious.

Hey Anne, flutter echoes usually are caused between two walls where the sound can bounce without being dampened. So it will be helpful to put some absorbtion on those walls. Maybe you can look for some nice looking acoustic panel or build something. It should cover a large part of on of the walls where the sound is bouncing. Basotect panels are the cheapest but they don't look very nice. Maybe you can build some panel with wooden enclosures and fabric around it. Also furniture like bookshelves with books and other stuff in it will help. ATM your room simply is a bit bare/empty.
Hallo, please do not over evauate flutter echoes, Chistian is white about generating these echos. But in your case you did not haver placed the speakers on the wall? In your room there are stonger acoustical problems. You woluld not get any porbelms with echos. When you can analyze some, it makes sense damming only one wall, then you stop the ping OPolg effect. ( asotect is ok). 1st reverberation time - i am fearing no problems. 2nd I think you get reflexions and interferences of direct and refleced sound (close to the speakers), ....where they are placed. Important is the directivity of the speaker itself. unfortunatelly a samller speaker at about 500 is omnidiretional. That is the reason because i am developing cardioid or directional speakers. Especially in an bad acoustic environment (churches.....) it ca be an big advantage.
A curtain rod with a heavy curtain can help with echoes as well.

Congrats for everything. You’re lovely and funny 😄. Suggestion: arm monitor, you’ll be able to adjust the position of your Asus as you wish. If it helps ,I’m building my home studio since 1 year and 2 months now… gosh 😅… all by myself, with no contractors, wood work (including the table from a slab), traps, cables, walls. ceiling, floor… the planning, the project and choosing and finding the materials are what takes more time than the building itself.
Me and my producer built sound panels with some rockwool, fabric and 2x4 wood planks. Just built them in his studio haha doesn't take that much room tbh

If movie theatres are still a thing their also best visited in middle of a week day. way less crowded.
Monitors do tend to be lower on a list even for a computer and game geek like me. I've been wanting to replace an older TV as well except as you said they work just fine.
And if the cinemas will show the 3rd part of My Home Studio Build, then it is better to visit them at this time!

That's a lot of work! Where are the clones when you need help? Oh well, you'll get there. I really love the desk with the motorized height adjuster. I would only offer one suggestion, get rid of the power strip and get a surge protector instead, you don't want a power spike or surge taking out your electronics!

Hi, newcomer to the channel. I'm loving the start you got going on there! If I may, From one audio human to another, just an audio mixing tip, I'd recommend easing up on the compression on the vocal narration track for your videos just a bit. The Audio sounds like it's being choked up a bit. Still sounds pretty good, but just something to keep in mind. :) Hope that helps a bit. also do a sight bit of de-essing. Keep up the great work!
A curved monitor is better because it keeps the distance from your eye to the screen the same. It is the whole reason they created curved monitors.

If you want more free space I can reconment partnering up with Bunker Branding, a merch company for youtubers and owned by a cool youtuber, they will handle everything so you dont need stacks of merch in your closet
I do use a similar company for everything that's not in the "Fulfilled by Anne" section of my store! I felt like I needed to have some physical stock of merch to be able to sell when I play live shows. I like being able to add the personalized touch with the signed cards, I just don't like having to store it at home in a city where real estate is so expensive :)

Subwoofers are almost always designed to be on the ground, it would cause your desk to vibrate too much for proper use
I assume this is about the IN-UNF! It's actually not a subwoofer and is designed to be on the desktop, not on the ground! They say your desk is incorporated "as an acoustic member of the system". Check out their site maybe!
Anne is right -- i am also using an sub speaker and a pair of very small sat speakers on my regal - directly a wall rack - important to place is at a minimus of time difference to the tops. Often separate Subwoofer are used at Home Cinema Systems at of part of special sound effect. This is an other story and often misunderstood.

13:50 Why did you get the Kali speakers in the first place? Your Yamahas are perfectly fine monitor speakers by themselves. If you feel that there isn't enough bass, get a Subwoofer.
