******Here are some things to keep in mind when using Heat n' Bond, straight from their website:
IMPORTANT
*Pre-wash all clothing and fabrics before using Heat N' Bond Iron-On Adhesive. Do not use fabric softeners.
*Don't overheat Heat N' Bond; this will cause an insufficient bonding.
*Don't iron over the plastic instruction sheet.
*Don't sew- due to the unique thickness of Heat N' Bond's adhesive machine stitching is not recommended.
*It is machine washable. For best results use the delicate cycle and warm water.
*Heat N' Bond is not recommended for projects or items that require dry cleaning.

Thank you very much for making this video. I had NO idea how to use mine! I got it because I thought it was a small iron on patch type of thing. But it is actually better! 😁
Needed this to hem a dress with loose fabric (learned the hard way sewing it just made everything bunch up) thank you for the short tutorial!!
Thank you ! I’m such a visual person. Very helpful!
Saw this is Walmart and I’ve seen many times before in my mom’s office but never knew what it was (out of the package I’m sure). So when I was in Walmart I had an aha moment and said omg I can do a lot of things with this tape if it does what I think it does. You’ve confirmed! I also had a grand idea to use for my business 🤭. Then when I watched your video I said omg. I can really make a dream dress without sewing too! Eeek! Super excited!!! Thank you!
Yes. Love you
Your video was right on time! I just bought some heat bond tape to make some pillows.
Thank you! I found a roll at the goodwill n couldn't figure out how to use it properly. Now I do 😁
Great job! Easy to follow directions! Thank you!!
Thank you for showing us how to use hemming tape for seams.
Thank you for the instructions. Good video.
Thanks, found this product in a local store and had never seen it used!
Thanks for sharing this! Great detailed video
Glad I found this. Just bought Heat n Bond and couldn't quite understand the directions. Thanks.

Yep and I did -
@Leslie Robinson Hoadley I just made some curtains using fabric glue, but I made some floor pillows using the tape and they are holding up nicely..
Lol

Thanks so much!
Thanks for the video
Good stuff - thanks.
Dandy Squirre
Thanks alot❤
Helpful video, thank you. The second side won't stick to anything, any advice? Used the exact same product you have.
I would like advice I have fabric Sew or Iron On Patch when will be on it for formal shirt and after will be in washing machine or dry cleaner and after work no will be patches broken or damage ?
Hello. Thanks for this. So can this be used on linen curtains?
I can fold each side down after cutting it a little and then can I put the cord in first or no
Thank you so much..I can't sew fir the life of me? I have a Lace trim on a lot of sleeves Project to do!❤
Hello, Q: why won't it stick onto the fabric after I press it and I'm using the red packet and a Heat press. My fabric is cotton. The first time I used the Heat n Bond it worked perfectly, but since then it's only sticking in the middle but sides are not staying. Thanks in advance,☺️
Would this work in making a quilt?
Can you use this to make sofa cushion covers
Thank you! When u have the tape but threw away the instructions 😄
If we wash it in the washing machine is that ok???
Nice 👍🏾
is this usefull for tulle ? ill just want to make tutu dress but i dont have the sewing machine
Yeah
Thank you. I am just trying to make a rice heating pad with my limited cutting and sewing abilities to sell on etsy
You can do it!
Can I use this hem tape on faux leather to make bags? Love the video
I was just about to ask the same.
Does it work with synthetic fabrics ?
I cant sew but i thinking of doing this projects with old baby clothes and making a blanket. I hope this stuff could work. If so I wanna make outside pillows and pillows for couch inside cant wait. And I'm new to ur channel
Aw bless how it's go bro
Any other similar product? This one is out of stock in the UK for a while now
You are so cute. Thank you for this. I have some holes in a skirt, but I washed it and now the hole has gotten too big to sew it together without it looking funny. I'm thinking of using fusible tape to patch it. I already have fusible tape, but lost the instructions. Your video helps.
Good❤nice❤no sew
what about patches?
Will this tape be remove after wash or not
This is something I wanted to know for years. I can't sew as of yet,and wanted to know about heating bond. I want to fix a pair of pants that split in the back. Should you this or take it to an alteration shop? Thanks for this video.
Sorry I'm just now seeing your question! I think for a pair of pants that have split, I would have that sewn. Things like hems, definitely DIY if you're confortable using Heat n' Bond. :)
Yeah unless you don't mind embarrassing yourself with that spit with you butt out for everyone to see, who knows it's probably a great one to show off, if not anything else you could get a date out of doing this.
Simple Me t
Can you use this on silk/satin material?
Is it the same instructions for silk?
kiara mackeage I need to know this answer too.
I tried this on a pair of polyester shorts and it stuck great to the first side but when I tried to iron the second side together, it came right apart.
Musnt work with polyester then.. op u know?
Have you tried this leather to fabric bonding ?
i know it's for fabric but i wanna know if it will work with fabric+plastic...
Dude don’t iron plastic
What if you have no finger nails
I hope this saves my ass for a really urgent project and I don’t own a sewing machine,
I hope so! :)
Can you use this on 100% nylon fabric?
That's a good question! I haven't tried it with nylon fabric. It would be worth experimenting!
Can you later remove it? if so, how
Bonita Dunlow you just peel it off
Does it work with clothes?
Jack Funkinstain I would think so. She said it is washable so I am pretty sure.
And I follow instructions but it won't work. Not quite the same product, I have one that doesn't have a paper backing, it has a fabric that's supposed to peel off and it won't. This is why I give up and buy everything. 😔
I couldn't get paper backing off either. Bummer
I use this product often. Especially when you dont feel like a sewing queen

Woot woot!! :)
Would this work on lace. I got a cheap wedding dress but it's like 3 inches too long.
Yeah.... cut it down if it doesn't have the hem right there and eyelets at the bottom....ca caw
Thx. But that didn't work 😕
What happened? You mean the iron on tape didn't work for you?
Followed your directions to a T and it completely ruined my iron. Even tried on lowest heat setting making sure shiny side of tape was down. Never again.
Oh man, that sucks! I've never had a problem using it. Did you have the iron on steam? Maybe that was the problem.
😆 🤣 😂
You're not supposed to iron directly on the tape.
Just like if I were sewing
Who wears safety glasses to do ironing???
will this be permanent ??
Yes, it should be! :)
I'm sorry to be negative but for a tutorial it would help if we weren't forced to imagine print's "right" side by having to make believe you're working with patterned material instead of something completely blank. Especially when adhering the pattern wrongly is detrimental to the project. I'm confused as to why you couldn't have worked with a scrap to show the viewers Exactly what you are teaching when after all, this is why we are here.
