Do I regret swapping my ND2 for a Deeper Quest Bait Boat?

- A few months back I sold my heavily upgraded ND2 bait boat.
I'd been doing a lot less Carp fishing recently and was enjoying fishing for other species like Roach, Perch, Tench, and even Bream (don't hate me!).
Anyhow, the ND2 wasn't getting enough so I sold it.
Then, sods law decided to come along and kick me square in the face in the form of an email from a Carp syndicate I'd been waiting to get on for 7 years.
I'd been offered a ticket to a prolific Berkshire carp fishing syndicate.
And it was the type of water that demanded a bait boat. The larger Carp are often caught at range and it can be weedy so you've got to be bang on the spot to stand a chance.
So, I had a decision, do I buy a new ND2 and send it away to get the Raymarine fitted or do I go with the Deeper Quest? Sure, the sonar might not be as good, but it can't be that bad can it?
A really good overview of the features of the boat. It’ll be great to see and hear of your scans and captures.
The solid bag hopper is such a great addition. Holds solid bags or liquids, a great unique idea.
I’ve got nd2. I’ve had no issues at all with it. For the money, it’s exceptional. £ 750 inc autopilot. I’ve used it to 210 mts out and signal was not an issue. Simple to use if you read the instructions properly.
@@fishyfish06 I completely agree. It’s a great boat. But I do like the simplicity of the Quest and the built in sonar.
this boat is amazing, i been using it for 3 months now. The only thing i have, is that when you have a GPS point in the water it will drive with a bow the first 2-3 meters then it goes straight. But if thats the only issue im good. No boat is 100% perfect, so for me this boat is 95% perfection with all these options, there is no better baitboat in this price range.

Thanks for the review, have a boatman baitboat which is good, but was looking at the RT7 but might look at this instead.
@@mikewaller4141 the RT7 with sonar looks amazing. But I know I won’t use half the features on it and it will just annoy me when I’m on the bank. I’m pretty capable when it comes to IT but I go fishing to try and escape all that stuff so any tech I use in my fishing I want to be as simple as possible.

Great in depth review and best review of the boat I’ve seen. I’ve had one on order just over 2 months. Can’t wait to get it now.
This will be my first boat in about 15 years. I looked at the ND2 and got put off by having to keep adding things so when this come out I knew it had everything I needed in one package

Ive got this boat, and really enjoy using it. Only issue is Deeper have only put the basic sonar tech in it. Not their latest chirp tech.
@@TheTricky66 I’m not sure that’s correct mate. My understanding is it’s got their latest and best sonar in there.

Thank you so much for this in-depth review! According to specs the deeper is relatively slow; did you use it on larger waters in windy conditions or in waters with a current and how did it compare to the other boats you have used?
@@marcel9051 I did take it out into open water with a small chop and some good winds and it coped fine. Sure, it won’t be as fast as an RT7 but it seemed comparable to an ND2. TBH though I’m not that worried about speed - sometimes it’s easy to forget that we’re fishing so should be chilling! 😎
I have a Ridgemonkey bait boat, which is awesome. I love that for the same reason you describe on this boat. Simple! I am looking for a bigger boat for my french trips and this looks perfect. It will be interesting to know what the reliability is like and what Deeper customer support is like. Anyone had any dealings with Deeper?

Thanks Mark. The camera on my right was a Sony ZV E10 with a Rode shotgun mic on it for the audio. The camera in front of me was a DJI Osmo Pocket 3.

I pretty much need a bait boat due to physical issues and could do with a new one. To be honest I am finding you video confusing in my opinion you need to cover what you are saying in more detail and show some videos of what you are talking about. If I am just being slow, sorry, but I would like a new boat and would like understand everything out a boat I am going to buy.

Without even watching the video I’m sure you don’t, you swapped from 500£ boat to 2k boat 🤷♂️
The ND2 with the autopilot was £600 and then I spent £1100 on getting a Raymarine sonar fitted to it which meant both boats were basically the same price.
Perfect mapping feature, now bait boats can spend even more time in the pond while the rest of us don’t cheat
Keep saving youll be able to get one, one day
