Top video thanks for the insight. I’m a massive fan of garlic as well and I do use it a lot. I use it as it comes in Boilies and particle mix now I know how you add it to your bait. I’m gonna put it into practice next time I go fishing You just got a new subscriber.

Interesting video fella. Would you use jars or tubes of chopped garlic or puree for ease of use on the bank?

Thanks buddy, no the best thing is whole garlic cloves mate and crush them just before you put it in your bait. Anything that has already been crushed will have lost the Allicin which is what we’re after. If you keep it in an airtight bucket it’ll last up to 36 hours but after that the Allicin is gone 🍻👍

Garlic molecules mimic certain food molecules that fit a carp's lock and key sensors

I can't abide garlic, the smell and taste make me vomit. Fishing recently on a difficult water, another angler gave me some garlic pellets to try as he'd had some success. I banded 2 together despite the smell, and within seconds of hitting the water plus freebies, i had a take. Several more fish followed so i for one am convinced now.

Allicin is present in garlic/ onions etc and I've used it for decades in my homemade boilies , along with a heavy fishmeal or spicy beef liver mix the sulphur containing products is far more in garlic and is also present in HIGH quality Essential Oils from garlic/clove etc . The enzyme Alliinase coverts Alliin to Allicin which quickly breaks down again as its very unstable in that state hence why it ends up as a sulfide , hence why most garlic plants ward off pests . Blood thinning, Immune improvement and as a anti bacterial product would be helpful to the carp I'm sure even if just as an anti parasite chemical, a quality powder (not salt) is also beneficial in a base-mix. When accompanied by a quality E.O will improve the bait I'm sure .

Would wild garlic that grows near I fish work the same or would it be just cloves that can be used? I wonder

@@AndrewLomax80 I’m not sure mate as it needs to be crushed or cut to cause the chemical reaction that creates the Allicin 🍻
