Welcome to Form Fight! In this series we take a look at Pokemon with more than one form, Pokemon with branched evolutions or even counterpart pokemon, have a look at the differences between this Pokemon and try and decide which one is the best!
So we can see these Pokemon in action on the battlefield, we also have a Metronome battle between those Pokemon - but just for a little bit of fun!

Johtonian Thyplosion I have fond memories off as it was the first Pokémon I got up to Level 100 playing Pokémon Crystal back in the day.
I play Pokémon since Gen 1, had Pokémon Red, but in Crystal I got my starter up to Level 100, after that Suicune and after that Lugia.
So why I'd choose regular Typholosion is purely or nostalgia's sake.

I had all Lv. 100 Pokemon as well as some Lv. 250 Pokemon like a Lv.225 Snorlax thanks to that Missingno Glitch. I also had Mew which I got for being a little G and figuring out that Teleporting away from that trainer who says My Parents took me to a party on the SS Anne to The Pokemon Center triggered a Lv. 7 Mew. I then decided because I did not like my other classmates ( I actually wanted most of them dead lol when I was 11) I lied to them and told them I got Mew after filling up the Pokedex and getting The Diploma AFTER beating The Elite Four 151 Times👿😁 AND getting the Mist Stone 😂
Loved seeing the Johto team prove why they're the best!
On an unrelated note, how can you say that the Hisuian shiny is fantastic?! It's barely different from the normal coloration! (As an added bummer, when it isn't in battle, I can barely tell the difference between the Hisuian and Johtonian forms, anyway.) I'd give it a 3, tops, and even that would be generous.
I really wish the fire would of changed on the shiny form.
@LunaticTrumpet Yeah, maybe a pale blue or white would at least help it stand out in battle. It certainly couldn't hurt.

The disrespect at the end capped off a great battle! And it's neat to note, Typhlosion and Charizard share the exact same base stats.

I was waiting for this form fight since the day Typhlosion-H dropped. He's my favorite fire starter of all time. Even if he is a discount Charizard stat wise. But a specs boosted Eruption from my boy still hits like a truck.

Typhlosion was my first ever Pokemon I had in a game, but I can't help but love the Hisuian form more! It looks cooler, and I love the monk vibes it has going on

I prefer Johto form. But I’m biased, as Silver was my first Pokémon game back in 2000

I can't choose between them. I adore them both
Frisk + Theif is handy when you are looking for Pokémon that hold evolution items like dragon scale and metal coat. I also got a Bagon with a dragon fang once and stole a bunch of berries from wild Pokémon lol. I used a Stantler that I nicknamed "I-Steal" He also knew hypnosis and dream eater to catch Pokémon. lol

Personally, I prefer Hisuian Typhlosion mostly cause it's generally more interesting. The Betty Boop hair pattern is a little weird, but Typhlosion just doesn't have much of a design, and I dont love mono-type starters to begin with. Not to mention I'm a bit biased to the Ghost type, and Infernal Parade is really cool.
i do wish Hisuian Typhlosion had a better hidden ability but its still my favorite of the two
Johtonian Typhlosion had a really cool shiny in Gen 2 and I wonder if maybe the purple flames inspired Hisuian Typhlosion.
I made the silly billy award but unfortunately I crafted it from Ice and it melted immediately when I tried to give it to Typhlosion.
The end of this fight was so good. I still prefer Johtonian Typhlosion overall but Hisuian's Fire looks better.
to me, Typhlosion should have had seren grace or an ability that gives +10% burn chance to every move/ restores hp when attacking burnt pokemons/ always crits on burnt pokemon

I have no real opinion on either form of the triangle. One is angry, one is high, but they're both pretty bland.🤷♂️

I’m a little obsessive,but I say Typhlosion is my favorite pokemon, and I’ll always love Johto boi a little more, but ghostphlosion is cool too : ) (also yaaay)

Hisuian from is more viable in battle, it has immunity to tight and normal moves
