This theory makes it all the more fitting that Dialga, Palkia, Darkrai had special events for the launch of the DLC, pokemon connected to time, space, and dreams
Seems like jirachi woke up and felt generous
That somehow makes me wonder what would happen if Jirachi woke up and chose violence... Why am I like this?
@@Ryu_Dur mental blud
@@Ryu_Dteam rocket head ass….
@@Ryu_Dthats just hoop
I feel vindicated. I’ve been a supporter of this theory for so long
this theory is still wrong tho. A paradox is a contradiction in the timeline, it wouldn't be a paradox if they all came from different earths.
@@JoeDirtisawsome No, a paradox is simply something that contradicts logic as we understand it. Alternate timelines and universes are by default paradoxes, as they will contradict what each other believes is logical. Like for example, the Paradox Beasts at the same time look similar and completely different to the Legendary Beasts we know. That is the paradox of their existence, they both are and aren't the same pokemon.
@@caiusdrakegaming8087 No, the paradox beasts are simply not the same pokémon lol they just look similar. They are obviously not the same. Cyclizar is related to koraidon. They aren't the same pokémon though. Koraidon is just a past species related to modern day Cyclizar brought here by time travel. That's all it is.
@@derekosgood3230 Alternate timelines, not the direct past and future. Again, they are Paradoxes because they both are and aren't the same pokemon we know. The whole point of them being from alternate timelines explains how that works. In those alternate timelines, these Paradoxes are just what they are, versions of the same pokemon we have. In the Past Timeline, Brute Bonnet would just be Amoongus there, in the Future Timeline Iron Bundle is just that timeline's Delibird. Maybe they wont have the exact same names, but just like their appearances their names would be similar to what we have.
@@caiusdrakegaming8087 But this is direct past and future. A different timeline would simply mean events happened in one that didn't happen in the other. The pokémon are not alternate versions of the other. They are different species that are related to each other. The A.I said they are ancient or future relatives. Not the same pokémon with an alternate look. Cyclizar is what Koriadon would become with millions of years of evolution. We don't even know for sure if alternate timelines are involved though. The professor acknowledged that we were from the future in the crystal pool, and speculated at the possibility of our timelines not being directly connected, but it wasn't confirmed for sure. What was confirmed is that the professor was pulled from the past and we spoke to them from the future. And they would go on to pull paradox pokémon from the past and future later on.
So Terapagos has an unknown power which allowed Sada and Turo to create an actual working time machine which works thanks to information from an alternate Earth or so? So in a way, it's a time travel story with elements of imagination and alternate universes? It definitely does explain their term, because they don't fit neatly in one codified group, it seems.
100% this. It’s evidently not a black and white matter. It seems like Terapagos has space-time bending qualities like Eternatus, but more than that, you see wayyy more effects than just time-bending. Terastallisation itself is confirmed to grant a Pokémon the type it DREAMS of being. And it does more than that still. So, yeah, it’s evidently not as black and white as we all first thought. Which I think is even better. Pokémon is all about the grey. The way we argue over black and white matters just proves the point of the moral stories in the games which so many never seem to really understand or apply, which is sad. 😢 Pokémon has taught me so much, ever since I was a kid. It’s not just fun, it’s about personal and collective growth.
Do we really a multiverse for this time travel plot?
@@Bezaliel13 That's what the ending part seems to heavily imply, so it's not like I'm thinking this just because.
@@GoinGreninja
That you met a different version of the professor, meaning your professor met a different kid?
@@Bezaliel13 Yes.
Uhh, Toby. Whatever Heath wrote down can’t have been for the Time Machine because whatever that was evidently wasn’t enough for the Professor to have made the Time Machine. It wasn’t until they got Briar’s Book from us that they were finally able to crack it. And by that point they already had the Scarlet or Violet Book.
Fr, feels like everybody forgot this, even when arven pointed out this specific paradox in the main story finale. The only thing I see that could work is if terapagos for some unknown reason brought some paradox pokemon which heath got to see on his expedition, but I wouldn't buy this theory.
@@leopv58 Terapagos could used the same “mists of time” as we saw at the Crystal Pool or in the anime to bring glimpses of the future to Heath. But at this point it’s speculation. I really do think Heath and the team imagined it all like a Bigfoot sighting kind of a situation.
Edit: I no longer think that they imagined it after considering other factors like the same mists we encounter the Professor in. But there’s still something super suspicious about the whole thing I can’t quite put my finger on.
It’s very likely that we’re getting a third DLC, we still have so many unanswered questions, and when you talk with Turo or Sada they will give you their personal copy of the Violet/Scarlet book, which means we can reactivate the Time Machine, and Heaths Phantom Memory where he met Terapagos was just like this, either in this same spot, or somewhere similar, and in the sketch it was the Stellar Form of Terapagos, and Heath had a page of notes where he didn’t know where it came from, so we could have hime travel forward in time to us and either show him how to make the equations or tear out the page, which would make it a Bootstrap Paradox, where there is no beginning or end. We may even in this hypothetical third DLC, we may be able to go to a area in the Future or the Past with more Paradox Pokémon, because it now been confirmed that Terapagos has time travel powers and not dream powers, because we just brought the real Turo/Sada to us, and we know this isn’t a illusion because in the journal entry at the Area Zero Under-depths entrance we hear the professor write about being transported to Kitakami and meeting us and keeping the book which they describe as a white volume, and the book we give is a white book.
We wouldn’t go into the future or past, in this hypothetical DLC it would be an alternate timeline
@@brunocaruso6007what are you talking about? You can catch a wild kleavor in the Indigo disk. I caught one myself lol
@@brunocaruso6007 as far as I'm aware no, theres no black auger in the game. But like I said you can catch one in the Savannah biome.
@@brunocaruso6007 you can catch a special ursuluna after catching 150 pokemon in the kitakami pokedex
I would hope so. There is still that unused Koraidon and Miraidon item that hasn’t been used in the game yet (hopefully it isn’t scrapped content), and yeah I feel like there were still a lot of things unanswered. Also assuming the next game or remake doesn’t come out until fall, a third dlc would be really fun, and they sell very well.
the Interaction is very similar to the ability that Terapagos shows in the anime to show memories
This gen's lore was one of the best
It seems that way.. I'm very frustrated recent Pokemon games killed my desire to play right before what would've been my favourite games game out lol
Thanks! This definitely clears up all the questions I had after finishing the DLC 😅🔥
So the Time Machine didn't move front or back in order to get the Paradox Pokemon, but moved side to side between different timelines but at the same relative point in time. Huh, didn't think I'd get to say this but...CALLED IT
You and me both dude. God it feels good to know some of us ironically used a a bit more imagination to figure out a more likely truth
I been saying this the whole time too lmao
Im pretty sure that’s how time travel works, since time actually only exists in the 3d world, ur just switching dimensions
It's why it's called paradox.
To be fair I imagine both Sada and Turo used the lab before they split
Sad to see this is one of the last Lore videos you will make.
He'll be back...I hope. I wouldn't be able to resist the urge with the 30th anniversary right around the corner
@@IcarusFallz If he does come back, it would be in 2026.
He really peaked
I’ll never unsubscribe I’ll always have notifications on
Wait why
I honestly find it super lame that they're just from other timelines, it's just Ultra Beasts but again... Would have been much cooler if they were imagined and brought to reality through the wishes of Sada and Turo
Glad I'm not the only one who thinks this because like you know time travel and Alternate Dimensions been there done that already in Pokemon we literally have Pokemon based on those powers, what imagination and dreams like you could go beyond the limit that's what made the Paradox Pokemon so interesting the implication that they were not real but they were brought to reality by someone's imagination
Them being imagined or brought about through dreams would be the stupidest thing they could have ever done lol I would take time travel a million times over something that stupid I'm sorry.
Not really alternate timelines and parallel dimensions aren’t the same
@@ontos8914 Exactly
@@ontos8914 it's hardly parallel dimensions when you just travel a few light years through space to find the ultra beasts and find other versions of Alola, it's like a combination of space travel and alternative realities... Given how poor the writing has been I don't think GF thinks (or even cares) there's a difference between any of these kinda travels, so to me it's just boring at this point...
I love how wierd this story and some other pokemon stories are. THis is just all so interesting. Area Zero is one of the coolest places in any pokemon game
So we can see that Terapagos can cause time travel as he zapped Sada/Turo to the crystal pool. So I guess Terapagos and the radiation of its crystals is what caused the paradox pokemon to appear in Area Zero in Heaths time too. Then Sada/Turo used these crystals to build the Time Machine
Fair play on owning that the imagination theory was a bust. This is a good explainer of the quantum mechanics and ideas presented in the Indigo Disc, as it obviously isn't that sophisticated enough to be super clear. Heath's forgotten memories and likely due to timelines blipping in and out of existence because of what we learn; he loses the memories because the things they are of no longer exist.
Ive played scarlet for hours, pretty much on and off since release. Ive traveled through area 0 at least 20 times before the dlc for item drops. I saw great tusts the first two times i went in, didnt even see sandy shocks until 2 weeks ago.... 2 WEEKS AGO!!!! BUT!!! I finally have all scarlets paradox
Well, I certainly hope somebody picks up that phone.
Because I CALLED IT!
>“I’m leaving RUclips indefinitely”
>”DoN’t FoRgEt To BuY mY mErCh”
>does the absolute bare minimum to maximize ads by making a video just over 8 minutes
>shares barely any new information in regards to lore, mostly recycled information that we knew before the dlc
Okay and?
Eish, tough crowd
I’m so glad there is still some truth to the time travel over it just being just dreams, I always found the dream theory really lame in comparison to time travel and even if it’s more multiverse travel the multiverse and alternate universes is still an aspect of time travel so I’m perfectly satisfied
In terms of more it seems that Ultra Beast come from deep in space in the main timeline and in their worlds events happened differently but similar to the main Pokemon World whereas these Paradox Pokemon come from different timelines of the same world
so paradox pokemon are really just ultra beast with just a sligthly tweaked origin, and even then if you believe guzzlords live on parralel timeline earth, then paradox pokemon are literally just ub-s with a diffrent abilities
Paradox are from alternate timelines while ubs are from alternate dimensions
Alt Timeline =/= Alt Dimension
Those are 2 different things
in case there was ever any doubt, pokemon still loves its alternate timeline shenanigans
I'm a lore goblin, I love this
“I’ll be having that hehehehe”
I think you put too much thought into the strangeness of the ultra beasts. Team Rainbow Rocket, from US/UM are a better analogy since they're just bad guys from the various timelines and realities where they succeeded. They're all from earths just like the one we're familiar with... Though the UBs are too, really. Recall the city where Guzzlord is found...
You know how Celebi can only travel in a specific timeline. I think Terapagos can only pull things from the Past/Future of its own timeline. The time machine was pulling Paradox Pokemon from the same timeline you are from. The Sada/Turo you saw was the player's timeline prof from before they completed their research.
@@Knight41b see, that may not be true. Gotta check some stuff with what happened before and after Arven's birth, since he's already born when sada/Turo comes from the past.
So I was hoping for a little more to work with but Terapogos does kinda fit my Meteor Space Dragon theory in many ways.
Terapogos is at the deepest heart of a two million year old crater, it's the origin of a unique energy that has a strange effect on other Pokémon, and a few other small details that are similar to Kyurem (ancient meteor, fragmented essence), Nekrozma (meteor impact, fragmented body, Z-Energy), Eternatus (ancient meteor, fragmented body, Galar particles and Dynamax), Arceus (otherworld, fragments its own power, its influence empowers Noble Pokémon), and maybe even Rayquaza (stratospheric, empowered by meteors, unique tie to energy of Mega evolution). The two they aren't dragons, Arceus and Terapogos, are both Normal types with unique type changing mechanics.
There's not enough yet to say it's a deliberate design choice but there's definitely something of a pattern.
Arceus and Rayquaza aren't part of this trend.
And Kyurem falls on a gray area (pun intended), because extra details dropped on B2W2 kinda contradict the BW alien origin, aswell as it being unable to learn one of the new Space-moves added in SwSh (which every other space-themed Pokemon was able to learn from what I remember). They've also updated some of his Dex Entries witg new info, so it's seems they are preping for the inminent Gen5 revisit, so we will soon find out what they are planning with him.
i mean Terapogos does have the same similar power in the anime
tho it only shows memories
welp i guess we have to wait till Liko and the gang solves Terapogos' power
1:55
My theory was they’re Pokémon corrupted by too much Tera-Energy.
Do you want to see more convergent Pokémon?
I like them but I like variants more ^_^
But that doesn't explain how Heath could've seen paradox pokemons in area zero, even before there was a time machine built by Turp.
While seeing Sada/Turo in at the crystal pool is essentially a bootstrap paradox it could be not an alternate universe but an application of the Novikov self-consistency principle. What we did was part of history all along and therefore not a paradox.
been watching since before the sun and moon release, thanks for all the fun!!
It is so amazing that this theory, or at least part of it, is actually true! I'm glad they explained Paradox Pokémon in a good way, instead of just letting them be there.
THANK YOU YJANK YOU THANK YOU I'm so glad the dlc has confirmed this because this is legit how I took everything I was confused by every one saying it was born from dreams. This games about time travel 😅 and other games have introduced alternate dimensions. Both can be involved with each other its not like they're conflicting
Wait, how does that explain the Paradox Donphan that Heath saw?
Sada/ Turo travelled with paradox pokemon to the past the same way they did to the future to meet us
Idk the story still feels very unfinished like what was the metal plates all about or the etching on the ground in Area Zero like they must have some significance if they’re both on the logo of the game and what about that crystal tree? That seems too important to just never be elaborated on. Surely we’ll get another dlc unless it’s all content that got cut or changed feels to me like Terapagos was supposed to be at the end of the base game
You don’t even need to complete Kitakami to go to Blueberry & you catch the paradox forms quickly if you use HOME.
Ima wait for the lockstin one.. lol
Are they actually from an alternate timeline though or did Sada/turo simply miscalculate
I mean through that whole interaction he/she assumes he/she is in an alternate timeline
Maybe it’s still the past and future of a different timeline so they can still be ancestor/descendant perhaps
I've literally just found out about the existence of "Paradox" Pokemon, with their fake fan-made sounding names like "great tusk" and "iron treads", and I think it's one of the dumbest things to come out of Pokemon, right up there with "terastalization" (or whatever it's called).
I challenge you to change my mind and prove me wrong. Seriously, what the hell is Pokemon doing!?
So paradox pokemon are from timelines that never happened and timelines that will never happen. Which makes them paradoxes. Also id say its completely different from ultra beasts cuz ultra beasts are from other dimensions if i remember correctly.
Wait I played to the end of the DLC… how do you give them the book? I went back down there and didn’t see anything?
It's at the crystal pool in Kitakami
We’re gonna miss you so much Toby….
I absolutely loved Pokémon SV and the dlc the teal mask and indigo disk made it even better. This has to be the most interesting Pokémon game when it comes to the lore and still plenty of unanswered questions like how Heath was able to see the paradox pokemon currently in area zero, what is does the symbol in that cavern in area zero mean, who left those unscratchable metal plates, what’s the deal with that crystal tree, what timeline did the AI professor go to. Ik the story has concluded but damn would love to see a continuation of this and if you go to see Arven he has one piece of new dialogue as he comments in the violet book you receive from Turo from the past.
Do you want to see all three or something new
I was never a fan of boot strap time travel stories, I never liked how they introduced items or ideas with no origin. And while it's explained as alternate universes or worlds, it still carries the unnessecary complex element of boot strap time stories.
I don't buy it. There are just too many references - Terapagos is showing people dreams of different timelines. Physical dreams, yes, but manifestations that are temporary, transient like mist. Heath described his experience as a reverie that he barely remembers. Plus, the person isn't time traveling at their location, they're anchored to wherever Terapagos is in that time, because Terapagos can only show them timelines it experiences. Plus Terapagos is a freakin' dreamcatcher! It even does a handstand when it attacks that shows it with feathers down and everything.
Its signature move even blasts out shooting stars, commonly associated with wishes. I wonder if they had the idea for Terapagos to grant wishes, only to change it at some point in development. I remember a similar thing happening with Sun and Moon, with the theory about Ultra Beasts disguising themselves as humans going down the toilet.
@@oyeh8908we’ve never really had any real conformation of that tho. I kinda doubt it was ever intended to be related to wishes since the whole past and future theme has been the main core of Scarlet and Violet
To be fair, the word "timeline" just refers to a time period. It might not be multiverse theory
You'll never see the master ball the same again! For 2 reasons!
Kieran uses one on Terapagos and then said Pokemon breaks out
I havent played but i must support my favorite pokeTuber
Awh don’t spoil it for yourself for my sake. The video is always here waiting later ^_^
This video literally shows time travel caused by the power of terapagos
Maybe none of them are from the future, like magearna and genesect
are you telling me the pokemon community were overthinking this the past year ? oh my
Do you want to see more regional variants
Always
It's just the last video i'm going with the band
Hey Toby
Dont leave ok? :(
Pretty cool that we caused a bootstrap paradox
how does one trigger this sideplot? i wanna know how i can experience it myself, the dlc isnt very forthcoming about it
After the credits you should be able to go back to the Crystal Pool and have this happen.
I always thought paradox pokemon was because of time travel stuff. Never believed in the dream/imagination theory myself
Gonna miss this pokemon master😭
Professor churro best character
Notification squad, where ya at?
If my future is the reason of my past....
Should I do the paradox of doing the cycle or should I do the paradox of breaking the cycle?
YESS MY THEORY WAS CORRECT!!
not finding out the spouse of the professsor is disappointing. i had hoped more story and character development for arven and even one more meeting with their parent but suppose not. The Delta Episode in ORAS has dealt with different universes/timelines and steven did try to send a meteor to another universes pokemon world, so yea i could see your theory holding true, theyre past/future pokemon of a different timeline/universe.
There is no spouse, just alt universe mother/father. Professors tend to be single too.
It’s just the other professor
@@Dabrownman1812well no as Arven shared design traits from both Sada and Turo so they are both his parents
... Not really though? 🤨
The Indigo Disk really dropped the ball in terms of the story, from Terapagos, Area Zero, Paradox and Terastal. Like, just such a shift from the focused Teal Mask content.
Okay I guess both sides were wrong it's not an actual time machine and it's not dreams becoming reality it's actually Pokemon from another dimension
Ultra beast are pokemon from alternate dimensions while paradox are from alternate timelines so not technically it alternate dimensions vs alternate universes
I love Guzlord
Im not sure you understand alternate universes. Alternate universes and timelines are essentially the same thing. Alternate timeline simply put is more like i live in USA in 2023 and in this universe pretty much everything is the same except i made different choices that affect the outcome of my life in various ways. In an alternate universe, i could be i live in the USA and we use a different calendar system or maybe i never existed because humans never evolve into existance to be the dominant species.
The book you get needs to be sent back to them somehow. The paradox isn't complete.
Well it's not a paradox then if these pokemon came from alternate realities. The point of a paradox is for something IMPOSSIBLE to happen to begin with! By having pokemon from alternate Earths then the very definition of a paradox is broken because an outside source has interfered. Maybe in another alternate reality GF would have unlocked previous shiny legendaries and actually have 3 years development of this game. Story is amazing on par with BLK 1 & 2 just wished they fixed the GOD DAMN animations! Pokemon still look lifeless AF and contact moves are just static ew!
Well, glad the "imaginery pokemon" theory is debunked, for that thing suuucked.
Note: Multiverse is a reach, but totally different from being imagined.
OK well you’re completely wrong they didn’t make the time machine they found it. That’s literally stated it took a while for them to control the device. More than likely Heath made the device. And yes Terapagos can cause time travel you literally can meet turo or sado in the crystal pool by pulling them to your part of the future they will give you the original violet book. Don’t believe me do it yourself.
FINALLY people can stop saying the Paradox Beasts "break the lore." I knew they didn't from the start.
Can't break the lore if they came from a whole other lore.
Thank you for the awesome content, Toby! I may have joined late but I'll still miss you when you're gone.
Soar high!
Ugh, my head hurts. Bioshock Infinite is enough of a paradox as is, I don't think I can really handle pokémon dipping into timey-wimey junk as well.
I knew them being specifically dream Pokémon would be way too confusing because they wouldn’t technically exist.
Being from a different time/reality is WAY easier to understand
I kept saying it was alternate timelines anytime someone would say the time machine was some kind of imagination machine. Seriously, I swear people only got stuck on that because of the Chinese version of the game calling it that because of the weird law over there banning any mention of time travel
Well that and the base game had already confirmed to us that they were from the past and future lol I don't know how it was ever a debate when they already told us that.
@@derekosgood3230 It was a mix of Arven not fully understanding how the Paradoxes were seen during Heath's expedition but as far as he knew the time machine was the only way the Paradoxes were showing up for us(which yeah is a question that still isn't answered directly but I feel the power of Terapagos explains it away) and the fact that the Chinese version of the games calls it an 'imagination machine' because they have this weird law against any mention of time travel.
I wish I was making that up, but China literally for some reason has a law against any mention of time travel in media. No idea why, they just do.
So yeah, it was basically because of the Chinese version and the fact Arven was stumped on how the Paradoxes were around back in Heath's time before the time machine was made. This kind of shows that the community seems to look a little too deep into the lore sometimes even when the actual lore is nowhere near as complex as they think it is. It might not have been flat out stated what KIND of time travel the machine could do, but some of the Paradoxes basically helped imply it was alternate/parallel timeline travel. So many people latched onto the imagination ide that they were blind to the obvious clues in front of them.
I don’t get it still
It's time travel. Paradox pokémon are past/future relatives of modern pokémon lol people are just making it way more confusing than it needs to be. Ultimately That's the answer which was already confirmed long before the DLC.
I dont think theres a real reason to make a distinction between alternate timelines and ultra spaces. I feel they are one in the same.
Delta Episode dealt(a) with the thought of transporting the Deoxys meteor to an alternate version of Hoenn, one without Mega Evolution. An Alternate Timeline where the Ultimate Weapon was never fired.
Meanwhile, USUM dealt with Ultra Ruins, an alternate timeline of Alola. The Rainbow Rocket postgame also dealt with the same idea of alternate timelines of each game being brought to 1 place.
I think the Time Machine, Ultra Wormholes, and whatever the scientists in the Delta Episode wished to use to transport the meteor, are all just different forms of accessing Ultra Space and the fabric of the Pokemon Multiverse.
After all, when Sada/Turo leaves at the end of the main story to their ideal past/future, if you speed up the time machine opening sound effect to roughly 2x speed, it is the same sound that is found at the end of all the Ultra Beast cries.
yes there is a reason to do so. alternate dimensions and alternate timelines aren't the same things
@@JoeDirtisawsome in pokemon they really aren't. During the Rainbow Rocket episode, Giovanni summons the other team leaders from other timelines via Ultra Wormholes.
Meaning either Ultra Wormholes can interact with both Alternate Dimensions AND Alternate Timelines, or to Gamefreak, those 2 terms are one in the same.
I disagree on the origins of the Paradox Pokemon, they are truly from our timelines ancient past and distant future. Turo/Sada originally struggled with finding the Paradox Pokemon, which Clavell makes a comment at the beginning of the story after finding out they succeeded. They originally were designing the machine to search for those pokemon in alternate timelines, but you pass the knowledge from Briar that includes their true origin, causing the professor to change course and ultimately finding them.
If the conclusion of the paradox was that the Professor looked elsewhere in time and did not actually use the information from the Paradox Book, Occulture, and Briar's Book to find them, then that would damage the overall narrative. We know in hindsight the truth of their origins during that conversation, but they do not. I believe that Turo/Sada is the person who passes information back to Heath, that being Briar's Book, and possibly exchanging it for the earliest copy of the Paradox Book that the professor then designates as the key to the Time Machine.
So this gives Pokémon company a convenient excuse to not create new pokemon just simply add different styles to existing pokemon and say o there from x reality
I mean they have been making different styles and variations with regional varients for years now lol I don't think they need an excuse for something they've already been doing.
First and FINALLYYYYYYYY!
Check the time stamp…. I was first
dude, this would defeat the whole point of a paradox. Paradoxes are contradictions in the timeline, it wouldn't be a paradox if they all just came from different timelines. The name "paradox pokemon" implies that they do come from the past and the future
Well they can come from different timelines and still be past and future though.
You clearly don't know how a “branched timeline” works, do you?
I still doesnt understand the metal plate and the symbols on the terrain in Area 0. And who spok to Callugaris? Wtf gamefreak.
So cringe
as an avid zero escape fan, this pleases me
This may be one of the last lore videos you make but it’s still a great one thanks for the memories over the years Toby stay awesome. 👍
So it's a dimension vs universe discussion again
I believe that the three legendary birds in Sword & Shield and Regieleki are paradox forms of the original legendarys
So I was correct in saying the paradox pokemon come from alternate timeline apart from the main timeline
Yep yep ^_^
So basically, the paradox Pokémon aren’t necessarily from the past or future. Rather, they’re from alternate universes?
Alternate timelines. Alternate universes are different from alternate timelines. An alternate timeline is a branch of it's original timeline (this Pokémon earth) while an alternate universe is completely seperated from this Pokémon earth, often with it's own laws and physics. Sada/Turo also mentions different timelines and not universes.
@@MelioraSR Alternate timelines and universes can mean the same thing if you go by multiverse theory for time travel.
They are still from the past and future no matter if they are alternate timelines. Which is only speculated thats not confirmed. What is confirmed is that they are from the past and future.

Seriously, what would be the point in that when you absolutely had time travel?
Note: Multiverse is a reach, but totally different from being imagined.
In a way I’m kinda glad they confirmed it this way because it fits for all the theories, so yes they are from Time but also from different timelines separate from the main timeline, so they are not naturally from the main SV timeline and not actually Ancestors or Descendants of our Pokémon.
Good put that I'm my plan muitverse story and how it all started
Yeah, I prefer the alternate timeline explanation. It never made sense to me that the past paradoxes were ancestors of OUR Pokémon.
@@XParasiteOctoling Agreed, it was very plotholey and inconsistent with past lore and they are way too similar to the original Pokemon anyways. Paradox Pokémon are literally basically regional variants as brand new pokemon anyways. It didn’t really make sense that there are past and future versions of Pokemon anyways. Plus now it confirms that the Legendary Beast mystery from Johto is still unsolved. It was kinda weird to confirm a huge lore drop like that in 3 random dlc pokemon.
That's what paradox means yeah @@XParasiteOctoling
@@Dabrownman1812Not a paradox if it has an solution
That tree better have lore
Bootstrapping paradoxes always feel like a let down to me, but im glad it's finally confirmed
One day we’re gonna pop out of the time machine at Bill’s house in Kanto lol
Toby, you are one of the only RUclipsrs I will make time to watch even at work, I’ve enjoyed your content so much and have seen just about all of your videos. I’ve enjoyed witnessing your journey, and I wish you the best during your break! I figured I would go ahead and speak my piece so- thank you for everything ^^
awww htnka you so much
@@BirdKeeperTobyI’ve gone through the story and caught Terapagos how do I meet Sara/toru?

Haha so yes the Time travel theory was correct
To me it feels like both the time travel and imagination theory became true.
@@GoinGreninja eh I can’t really see if that way, it’s really outlined especially with the crystal pool encounter that Time travel was happening
@@RichardWaugh-vd2df Of course time travel is the focal point. But that doesn't mean that Terapagos doesn't've imagination powers for example. Of course, with how open they'd left it, it's all open for interpretation.
@@GoinGreninja i agree obviously Terapagos main power isn’t time travel, it’s never really explained other than it being strange power but I’m saying that the Paradoxes and Time Machine are real, Terapagos could have imagination powers we’ll have to see in the anime or something
@@RichardWaugh-vd2df Agreed
Different timelines?
Well, that's disappointing. But it's better than them actually coming from "Da Past" and "Da Future".
Do you wanna see more paradox pokemon in genten
I've got one quote that sums up the DLC, Multiverse Theory is a b!tch.
Of course it an muitverse thing again per usually I mean go look at pokemon master ex some characters such as Giovannia,Cyrus and chairman Rose are alternative version with Giovannia is the same Giovannia from usum games that lead rainbow rocket or the fact that Dawn and Rei are base on the player's
Wow a in to the spidervurse thing. Amazing
