    The reason the reason Hisuian Zorua and Zoroark have gone extinct is because they saw that people and Pokémon were coming together and not hating each other, so they were able to let go and move on.

    My personal theory about Hisuian Sneasel is that the Johtonian variant actually drove it to extinction. Having migrated up north to expand and find territory, they’d end up completely overtaking the Hisuian variant. Due to their solitary nature, Hisuian Sneasel would be out competed for food and would be unable to defend itself in a fight with them despite the type advantage thanks to Johtonian Sneasel’s pack hunting style. Of course, natural selection would still play a role as you mentioned. Highly enjoyed the video, the visuals and explanations were great!

    • @zinzolin14
      @zinzolin14 Год назад +17

      It's interesting when you take account that Johtonian Sneasel is 4x weak to Fighting-type, which the Hisuian form is. Even with a major type disadvantage, the Johto form still had numbers, adaptation to environment and the night on its side, enough to take the population over.

    Hisuian Typlosion is actually more on shamans, which are called onmyoji. They are able to call and command spirits, hence the laid back design and ghost typing.

  • @dannygillmor2337
    @dannygillmor2337 Год назад +114

    Hisuian Braviary was the main predator of Sneasel, and figured they had to migrate after they picked of the last of the Hisuian Sneasel and Sneaseler as psychic flying would thrive against the poison fighting typed variant, but would become prey to Johto Sneasel and Weavile as the tables would flip with the dark ice ones and they'd become the prey so they probably used their psychic powers to find new lands to call home.

    • @JanizMakudomaru
      @JanizMakudomaru Год назад +8

      What would be cool is if the Hisuian forms would be able to stay and "evolve" thanks to the time space paradox allowing the Johtoan forms to be around them to keep them from being preyed to extinction.

    • @itsturniptime3699
      @itsturniptime3699 Год назад +15

      Weavile are noted to be extremely efficient pack hunters while Sneasler is a solitary creature. With Hisui slowly becoming colder and Sneasler not being adapted to that it’s no wonder they got outmatched by their southern subspecies.

    Thanks to the teal mask dlc we now know that hisuian pokemon are not extinct, just very rare to find. Populations of white stripe basculin live in katakami as do basculegion. Perrin was shown to have a hisuian growlithe and ursalunas are just said to be really rare.

  • @zinzolin14
    @zinzolin14 Год назад +21

    Basculin is interesting. It evolved to become more aggressive and adaptable to harsher environments overtime, so more of its kind survived. Because of this, fewer died prematurely and there weren't enough souls required to turn on of its members into a Basculegion. The base form has become strong enough to forgo evolution altogether.

    • @stevenfeagley3227
      @stevenfeagley3227 Год назад +3

      And yet it still sucks prior to it having an evolution. I do wish we had a different form of Basculin's evolution in Unova. One where it feeds life rather than it's H-form.

  • @Tony_AM009
    @Tony_AM009 Год назад +19

    I really enjoyed watching this video. Good job!
    For Hisuian Voltorb & Hisuian Electrode, one idea that I've come to believe is that they are the originally variant. Like Foongus & Amoonguss, they are mimics based around plants or fungus. They mimic the appearance of Apricorns. The treatment these Pokémon received from humans combined with the decline of Apricorn balls(as well as Apricorn trees/plants) and the rise of artificial Poké Balls caused Voltorb & Electrode to adapt from its Electric/Grass-type Hisuian variant into the pure, Electric-type Kantonian variant we've come to know since Red/Blue/Green/Yellow.
    As far as Hisuian Zorua & Hisuian Zoroark go, they either moved on after humanity began to live alongside Pokémon in a less hostile existence, leading to these regional variants to no longer exist since they have found rest, or continue to use their illusion-based powers to conceal their existence from the rest of the world. It would be cool to find the Hisuian variants of Zorua & Zoroark in the present day somewhere, rather than only existing in the days of old.

    ive always prefered alot of the hisuin versions of the pokemon, their designs at least because for me i just prefer the more rounded and elegant designs over the more sharp, in your face type designs the other regions tend to have. of course i love the modernistic classic versions as well because its what we all started with all grew to love and story wise, it tells us their evolution train and what most likely happened with that specific family tree of pokemon or the species as a whole.
    its also nice to know that one day in pokemon their may actually be a possibility they have in mind, down the line in which, they are going to allow us as the player in the game to eventually breed or make some or all other versions of those pokemon if we put it in specific habitats and give it specific conditions in which we can end up making it work. like with that usulana or whatever the name is for that pokemon, if there happens to eventually be a game with a specific easter egg that comes out or in the new anime, it hints at this being something possible, it would be a nice addition along with the classic versions. it plays just like getting the fossil pokemon which are unique pokemon born way before the modern day era however this time your able to get it to meet specific conditions and requirements for such a fossilised thing to exsist and thrive once more.

    Hisuin decidueye is based on the horse back riding samurai who primarily wielded a bow and katana. and hisuin decidueye can still learn its signature arrow attack that it shares with its Alolan counterpart, so basically Hisuin decidueye uses both sword and arrow wich was common amongst samurai, especially the japanese Calvary.
    Hisuin Typhlosian is yes a volcano but its actually based on the Monk who fights ghosts wirh Talismans thus the ghost typing. Be it a buddist monk or a shinto monk.
    And Samurott is based on the foot soldier Samurai .

    Imo the fact you find spoiled apricorns near the hisuian voltorb and electrode tells me it's actually a electric creature that utilizes spherical objects that have become hollowed out. Originally they used natural apricorns thus the grass typing on them however when humanity moved to modern pokeballs apricorn trees became less populous most likely due to encroachment into natural habitats so they moved on to defective pokeballs but since they are man made they lose the grass type.
