I need to see more of these Eggolutions! They look really good and I could see them being more physically oriented, like how Eevee was more specially oriented, including its evolutions being more special types.
Your concept is sound, while some of the evos don't follow their namesakes I can overlook this. There is something odd about the evos that are two stages, looking more like mid-evos than final evos.
Out of all these “Eegolutions,” I’d say Clockatrice and Ghoulong are my favorites. Also, the overall concept of these dragon type Eevee-like evolutions is pretty fun.
I love how the starting one Eggolu being an egg that leads to the others is simply perfect especially with its concept! I remember when Lockstin tried his own concept with a skink like Pokémon but I like this version the best!
I’m barely past the Eggolu introduction, but the Dragon-typing is PERFECT! Eevee has a physical type and evolves into all special, while Eggolu is a special type evolving into physical. Chef’s kiss
Grassalisk does resemble a basilisk lizard, however. Even more humorous would be to give it Aqua step in reference to the lizard’s ability to run on the surface of water for a brief time.
They all look pretty mid-stagey, in a good way but I can definietly see them evolving again. I also think it would be pretty cool if they lived up to their dragon type more in the next stage (as in, the type of dragon they are). For example Wyburn getting Pterosaur-type wings when it evolves, with its hands incorporated into the wings. And Grassilisk could easily get an elongated, snake-like body when it evolves, maybe losing the hind legs, but keeping the front legs and upper body position, but make it like a cobra rearing up. Wetzalcoatl could go quadruped with a bigger, bulkier body and slightly shorter legs, more resembling a salamander or axolotl. I'm not entirely sure where to go with Clockatrice but I think it bulking out as it evolves would look good. For Ghoulong, elongate its body and make it spiral downwards like a spring, giving it a tall appearance. Make the end of the tail more wispy, and make the skull more of a defined skull. It looks like a cutesy version of a skull, which is fine for a middle-stage, but I think the final stage should look more hardcore and scary. Edit: I think this would work well with the theme of them diversifying out from each other. For the first evolution, they diversify somewhat to fit their type, but all still have the same body type. When they evolve again their body types change to fit each individual's design and they diversify from each other further.
Eevee having all the "Special" types over the years has made the most sense thematically, and their evolutions (even when 2 were altered for the past couple of generations for easy accessibility) made the most sense for the evolutions they turned into. So i don't see there being any more Eeveelutions unless one somehow is able to harness the pure arcane energy of the Dragon type. In Eggolu's case, I can see a slighly altered system of having the special Scales be held items that the base form would eventually bond to after a certain amount of levels and take on the type the scale embodies. (Thermal Scale, Vernal Scale, Sleek Scale, Brute Scale, and Spectral Scale would be my names for them) I know Lockstin kinda toyed around with this concept for Skinka, but to me it makes more sense for a baby to bond with an item/toy it was raised with.
8:30 That gives me an idea. A rock type that has multiple evolutions using the evolution stones, with each evolutions being dual types with the type of stone, each inspired by the different types of gems.
Love the concept behind Eggolu...a Dragon Egg that "hatches" (Evolves) into different Dragons just sounds so awesome. And the puns for their names are just so great!😄
This reminds me of my idea for a Pokemon with a very complicated Evolution line based on the three forms of Hecate and the Sphinx's riddle. The first stage is Normal-type and based on a baby in a white dress like the one you see in old-timey pictures. The middle stage has two forms, the Female form is Normal/Psychic-type and based on a bride, while the Male form is Normal/Fighting-type and based on a groom. There's three final stages for each form. The female form can evolve into a Grass/Psychic-type Pokemon based on a cranky old lady, a Ghost/Psychic-type Pokemon based on a ghostly bride, or a Fairy/Psychic-type Pokemon based on a nice grandma. The male form can evolve into a Rock/Fighting-type Pokemon based on a grumpy old man, a Ghost/Fighting-type Pokemon based on a ghostly groom, or a Fairy/Fighting-type Pokemon based on a kind grandpa.
Honest feedback: Wyburn could be a wyvern without flying if you cave it drake wings off its elbows that were just too small to fly but still gave it visible wing like pieces.
With the scales,it could be a held item that gives a defense/ Special defense boost when hit by a move of the appropriate type. The evo method could be defeat a pokemon of the same type as the scale while holding it. Adds a draconic twist to Eevee's main thing.
Thank you so much for all videos you made. You are one of my absolutely best youtubers ever. Zdraví Nogy. Greetings from Czech Republic. My most favorite fakemon from this video is Ghoulong.
This is gonna be a long read, but it's basically what I would do for an evolution method for this Pokemon concept. The TLDR is that I would've done something that's kind of a cross between an evolution stone and the items that Arceus and Sylvalley use to change their types. Start by leaning hard into the egg theme by making this Pokémon only available via breeding or receiving egg gifts from other players or NPCs. Also give the the egg a unique sprite along with a description that says that the egg seems to change to any one of 17 different colors depending on the angle you look at it. Then when the egg hatches, have a text box appear that states "a large fragment of the egg shell remained after Eggolu hatched. It's color makes you think of-" From here, open a list of descriptions that clearly paint the typing you want your Eggolu evolution to gain. For example, something like: "A blinding lighting bolt", "a tranquil meadow", or "a spooky graveyard". The game then adds an eggshell fragment into you backpack, which is a held item for Eggolu, and has a different name depending on which egg fragment you picked. This item goes along with a unique attack Eggolu hatches with called "eggshell shot". It does 50 base damage and functions just like Arceus and Sylvalley's unique attacks, so it's type is determined by the egg shell you gave it. Only it doesn't give a stab bonus, it just boosts the base damage by forty percent. That way it's just a tiny bit weaker than an attack with stab. Although if Eggolu isn't holding one of the eggshell items, the move will be dragon typed and will do stab damage. Once Eggolu reaches a certain level, it will evolve while holding a shell fragment into the form determined by the egg shell. The egg shell disappears, as does the unique move from before. However, it instead gains a new move called "Fragmenting Scale", which uses the evolutions secondary typing, it calculates damage depending on whether Attack or Special Attack will deal more damage on the opponent and uses that stat, and it's base power is 75. Also it can hit both opponents in a double battle, but you choose which target to hit like a single target move, it calculates whether you use Attack or Special attack depending on that Pokémon, and it only does two thirds as much damage to the secondary target.
I would have *personally* preferred if Ghoulong had legs too, like the others, but I get the idea of giving it a tail body as it's common in cortoonified ghosts The concept of treating it as an egg that hatches when it evolves is a very clever take on the concept
I want to see Eggolu and its 'eggolutions' appear in Histrobea Chronicles, even if the type chart there is different enough from Pokemon's that some of the forms you have planned won't be able to make the cut. All these evolutions are really cool, and I'd be hard pressed to pick a favorite.
Have anyone heard of Pokemon Spectrum? It’s a Fakemon game in a region based on Australia. They have this Normal Type chameleon called Olvee that is similar to Eevee but it evolves into the physical types: Flying, Fighting, Rock, Bug, Ground, Poison, and Ghost. The creator of Pokémon Spectrum even added a Dragon Type Eeveelution since it’s the only special type left to not have an Eeveelution for some reason. I also would like an Electric/Dragon Type evolution for Eggolu since Electric is like the fourth starter type if you count it
So fun and awfully cute! Here are my pitches for a few of the remaining types: + Flying - Drakeflite (Drake + "Take Flight") - I see it as the most nervous of the Eggolutions, flapping its powerful, feathered wings to take to the sky fearfully (and unknowingly blowing enemies away with the gusts it produces). Also fun because drakes don't normally have wings as a nod to Wyburn not having them. ;P + Ice - Fafniroz (Fafnir + Froze/n) - I imagine this Eggolution would have a serpentine body and curved horns made of ice inspired by Norse helmets (which I found in my research were unlikely horned!). Maybe a special ring marking on its chest as well based on its mythology. :) +Ground - Drydra (Dry + Hydra) - maybe the last of these Eggolutions has no arms (as some lizards are known to regenerate limbs) but two other heads made of sand in their place, for a Hydreigon meets Gaara meets King Ghidorah. :O Amazing work to you and Oscar for sure!
Darn, I was gonna use cockatrice for one of my suggestions for the other types. That's a somewhat deep cut that (like basilisk) is kind of only dragon-adjacent. Urthwyrm: Ground, "earth" + "wyrm". Sorpent: Flying, "soar" + "serpent" Elecdrac: Electric, “electric” + “drak” Roktena: Rock, “rock + “uktena” Kanmairy: Fairy, “kanmare” + “fairy”
I was thinking Rockatrice myself, busterstation, because in Dungeons & Dragons lore they are a little more reptilian/draconian (and birdlike) and can petrify with a bite! :D Sorpent is great!
@@benjaminmoy2669 I always think of them as a bit more of a chimera. Part reptilian for sure, but not pure dragon or serpent. They have a rooster head in most depictions I've seen, it's got "cock" right in the name", and my first exposure to them was one of the monsters in Zyuranger (Dora Cockatrice, or Chunky Chicken as it was known in MMPR). Anyway, I'm gonna keep updating my original comment as I think of more if you want to keep up.
If we end up adding a normal type evolution too, it should probably play up the fact that a LOT of pokemon associated with sound have normal as part of their typing (see the exploud, wigglytuff, and chimecho lines)
@@SueDonym-qx7or Yes, other people have played with that hypothetical type, and I wouldn’t be surprised if it were to become canon someday. Fingers crossed it’s super effective against Fairy!
Eggolu is adorable, oh my god. And I love Ghoulong, both name and design. Definitely my favorite too! My only note is that... Quetzacoatl could've been used for a flying type, as it is the feathered serpent. This is a really cool naming pattern, though, it's a lot of fun
most of the names are structured with the dragon part of the name coming last. so maybe for consistency wyburn could be something like pyvern, from pyre and wyvern
I actually ran with this idea in my fakemon region. Base fighting type that evolves using the stones, each evolution honoring a particular kind of fighting style based on its lore or combat preferences.
I could see that happening in the future. Since gamefreak introduced convergent evolution in gen 9, they could have a new pokemon that is similar to Eevee but then that pokemon would evolve into the rest of the missing types. Example: a new Bug type pokemon that could would evolve into a Fighting, Poison, Ground, Flying, Rock, Ghost, Dragon or Steel type pokemon's.
So any idea for the scales instead of them just being reskinned elemental stones, you could make them held items that boost moves of the associated type and then once Eggolu reaches a certain level while holding the item they evolve into the corresponding Mon.
I had a similar idea of a "lution" to eevee, where it would be a lizard and start ghost (the opposite of normal) and evolve to the other missing types.
I really like the ghost, fighting, and grass type, but the water and fire type seem a little uninspired. Not that they're not good designs because they are. I just feel like more could have been done with them.
i like the idea, but the only issue i have is how you positioned the evolutions around eggolu at the end. personally i feel it would've looked more visually appealing if all the starter elements were lined along the bottom and the ghost and fighting types on the top sides.
Just an idea, but have Eggolu evolve based on what type Pokemon are in your party next to it. Say you have Eggolu in slot one, and a fire (primary type) in the second it if it levels up after a battle to a certain level, it becomes Wyburn. So on for each other type.
I definitely like the concept, and it makes so much sense. We already get a dragon of every type in fantasy, and I think it’s one of the few other ways this can be done. The only other concept I can think of is an amorphous blob, like Ditto, but other than that connection, what physical traits would make it easier to relate reptiles, mammals, and insects?
Okay, so I did not think I would be very big on them being dual type, but this is definitely one of my favourite fakemon ideas of yours! Not sure I could bring myself to evolve Eggolu though. If you ever think of more, I look forward to seeing them take shape.
I really like the concept and designs, especially Clockatrice, however I think the names need more work. Eevee has all of it's Eeveelutions' names go with a certain template also (Leafeon, Jolteon, Umbreon and so on), so all the names of Egglou's evolution should have a common template for them as well. I get the idea of the puns, but with names like these that go all over the place, I don't think it's something that hits the mark as it should be. Once again cool concepts and designs though.
@@sckaze777 Actually Clockatrice sounds excellent, which is why if this Pokemon would've been a thing, this name would be the template for all other names.
Message from my son: I made a custom Evie evolution called Respian that is a ghost and flying type. It has wings made out off souls, and instead of a collar a necklace that holds it's soul. It skin color is pale purple. This is an idea for a future video

@@HoopsandHipHop9:01 What is eggolou shed the scales when given food, like poffins, sandwiches or curries. Spicy = fire type, Sweet = fairy or something then when you came out of the cooking it would be holding it as a held item. Also I need an eggolou plush.
I have a thing for fighting type and Clockatrice is amazing! Having said that, you made a great job with every one of them! I could totally see these guys in a pokemon game!
These are some super fun designs and names. I’d love to see more, and I’d find it quite cool if the pun names were reflected more in the designs like wetzalcoatl looking quite Aztec themed
what about adding a little lore for Eggolu, prior to evolution. I had the thought while watching this, Eggolu having the Multiscale or Multitype ability, because it can evolve in multiple ways... and with the latter ability, it'll have an attack that changes its typing based on the 'type scale' it holds, but ofc weaker than Arceus' Judgment. (in contrast to using the scale to evolve the Eggolu.)
These are adorable, but all give the feel of mid-evolutions (except for clockatrice, definite fave I love the pose) I think it'd be neat if the first three had an initial easy evolution method with those scales and then could evolve a second time, meanwhile the ghost and fighting scales can only be used if at a later level, allowing them to have higher stats and embrace being a final evolution. Oh!! Oh!!! OR!! What if the first three can later evolve into Clockatrice or Ghoulong, which doesn't change their typing, but maybe as the starter-evolution-types, they have access to move tutors of the starter-exclusive moves, which means you can end up having your fighting- or ghost- dragon type have access to super strong moves! And maybe they can have an ability that grants STAB on any move with 1 PP left (easy to reach on strong 5-PP moves) Anyways, thank you for the fun video! You got my brain running in circles haha!
Love the designs! I think the only change i would make would be to give clockatrice black eyes similar to all the other evos, because right now it looks the least cohesive in terms of ‘being a member of the family’ and almost looks too much like a fighting type charmeleon lol
For evolution, I'd go with something somewhat similar to how eevee evolves into sylveon in legends arceus. Make the dragon scales a held item that allows eggolu to learn a move of that type and level it up while holding dragon scale and knowing the corresponding move. For example, a grass scale that allows eggolu to learn Evergreen, a move that makes eggolu grass type and nullifies the effectiveness of ice type moves (refering evergreen trees and their preference of cold biomes), while a fire scale would allow eggolu to learn the move pyrotechnic (change to fire type and use a fire-equivalent of seed bomb)
Eevee evolves into the different kinds of the elemental types; fire, water, electric, etc. I’ve always wanted another Pokémon that evolves into the more physical types; rock, steel, fighting, etc. That would be so cool!
The different Scales could be held items that boost attacks of their type, then if Eggolu reaches a certain level while holding it, it’ll evolve based on which Scale it’s holding! It could even have the opportunity at a lower level to pick a simple move of whichever type, such as Ember, Water Gun, etc to basically prepare it for when it evolves and let it get some use out of the Scale even before it evolves!
These concept looks neat so far, can't wait to see the other of its typing ...psychic, electric, ice, ground, steel, dark, poison especially ice type. Give it's ice type jaw shape similar like Steelix lower jaw, Please !!!
@@tokyoceteris7839 "Clockatrice" comes from a combination of "Cockatrice" (which is a mythical beast that kinda resembles a dragon) and "Clock", as if "cleaning somebody's clock", which mean beating someone up, like a fighter beating up someone in a fight. Hope that it helps.
Love the initial idea and Eggolou, since it avoids the more obvious one in the evolutions just being the opposites of Eevee. The evolutions are honestly great, with the sole exception of Wyburn (in my opinion), whoreminds me of a Charmander with flaming eyebrows and spikes. :) The others have a lot of charm, and look like there was a lot of inspiration being pulled from basically everywhere. My favorite is the Clockatrice, with Grassilisk being a close second.

For sure! I added a few to my own comment as well. :D Have fun with it!
Eggolu is SO CUTE!!!! I sadly don't like any of his evolutions, but good job.
most of the names are structured with the dragon part of the name coming last. so maybe for consistency wyburn could be something like pyvern, from pyre and wyvern
100% solid designs. The fighting and ghost ones might be a little over designed compared to the first 3 "eggolutions" but they're all great.
So any idea for the scales instead of them just being reskinned elemental stones, you could make them held items that boost moves of the associated type and then once Eggolu reaches a certain level while holding the item they evolve into the corresponding Mon.
I propose a dragon bug evo with a name that’s a pun on worm/wyrm
I had a similar idea of a "lution" to eevee, where it would be a lizard and start ghost (the opposite of normal) and evolve to the other missing types.
I really like the ghost, fighting, and grass type, but the water and fire type seem a little uninspired. Not that they're not good designs because they are. I just feel like more could have been done with them.
What if dunsparce could evolve like eevee I think it might make the most sense out of existing pokemon.
"Hey Game Freak, can we get a dragon type Eeveelution?"
Game Freak: "No!"
Hoops: "Did someone say Dragon type Eggolutions!?"
i like the idea, but the only issue i have is how you positioned the evolutions around eggolu at the end. personally i feel it would've looked more visually appealing if all the starter elements were lined along the bottom and the ghost and fighting types on the top sides.
Clockatrice missed opportunity for a spine tail acting as a thrice arm.
Love all the concepts. Especially, Dragon/ Dino/ Mythical creatures.
Agreed.
Not everything has to be one to one, in fact diverging is preferable especially if he decides to use this in his own work
@@ursidae97 Yes not everything needs to be one for one, but this is one of those things that do need to be.
agreed. clockatrice doenst even scream a fighting type name
@@sckaze777 Actually Clockatrice sounds excellent, which is why if this Pokemon would've been a thing, this name would be the template for all other names.

For the evolution scales, why not use the scales of Eggolou's evolved forms instead? Along with Eggolou having a move of its evolved forms' type?
*OMG EGGOLU IS THE CUTEST THING I HAVE EVER SEEN*
This idea and these designs are simply genius!!! One of the best concepts you've out this year so far! really hope we get more videos on this!
Besides using the scales for evolution, you could have them learn a specific move and then level it up to make it evolve
Hoops has great video ideas and even better video execution❤❤
Maybe instead of stones/scales, there could be a mechanic where it evolves based on the type of move used last when hitting a level threshold?
Message from my son: I made a custom Evie evolution called Respian that is a ghost and flying type. It has wings made out off souls, and instead of a collar a necklace that holds it's soul. It skin color is pale purple. This is an idea for a future video
I think for the electric type evolution's name, it should be Rapttory, another pun name of Raptor and Battery.
Hey! Last time I commented and you hearted it, but all I said was 1 hour gang, so just want to let you know I love the videos and that you have grown my love of pokemon more than it already was ❤
Stunfisk is goated
I appreciate you watching and the support!! Thanks a bunch!! 😄

What is eggolou shed the scales when given food, like poffins, sandwiches or curries. Spicy = fire type, Sweet = fairy or something then when you came out of the cooking it would be holding it as a held item. Also I need an eggolou plush.
Great concept! Hope you get to show us the rest of the evolutions eventually! I’m rooting for Dragon/Fairy!
This kinda reminds me of applin with all the dragon evolutions
The squeal I sqwumpt when I saw Eggolu- HES SO CUTE!!! 😭😭
Lockstin also made a similar video!
I love this so much the base Evo Eggolu is soooo cute! 🥰❤❤
I have a thing for fighting type and Clockatrice is amazing! Having said that, you made a great job with every one of them! I could totally see these guys in a pokemon game!
I love the naming themes. I love it when the names are just fun.
These are some super fun designs and names. I’d love to see more, and I’d find it quite cool if the pun names were reflected more in the designs like wetzalcoatl looking quite Aztec themed
PLEASE TELL ME WHERE YOU GOT THAT SLOWPOKE PLUSHIE BEHIND IN YOUR BACKGROUND
This is an excellent idea and I love the names of these fakemons.
All of them look great. My favorites are Grassilisk and Ghoulong.
Ghoulong would immediately become one of my favorite Pokemon if it was real
Dope designs mate!! 🤩 Clockatrice my favorite
I want to see a Roman Gladiator Eevee Fighting type
what about adding a little lore for Eggolu, prior to evolution.
I would not mind having another Eevee type Pokémon
These would make great Histrobea 👀
I love the names and designs 😹!!!
potential Eevee clones:
Charcedet and Kirlia.
These are adorable, but all give the feel of mid-evolutions (except for clockatrice, definite fave I love the pose)
I think it'd be neat if the first three had an initial easy evolution method with those scales and then could evolve a second time, meanwhile the ghost and fighting scales can only be used if at a later level, allowing them to have higher stats and embrace being a final evolution.
Oh!! Oh!!!
And maybe they can have an ability that grants STAB on any move with 1 PP left (easy to reach on strong 5-PP moves)
Anyways, thank you for the fun video! You got my brain running in circles haha!
Looks So Good!!!😉👍✨
I love this fakemon but to have focused on other types than the types of evee
I find it very nice to break this code
I agree!!
Umbreon - Moon or Dusk stone
Espeon - Sun Stone
Sylveon- Shiny or Moon stone
The different Scales could be held items that boost attacks of their type, then if Eggolu reaches a certain level while holding it, it’ll evolve based on which Scale it’s holding! It could even have the opportunity at a lower level to pick a simple move of whichever type, such as Ember, Water Gun, etc to basically prepare it for when it evolves and let it get some use out of the Scale even before it evolves!
Awesome designs, i think Ghoulong is my favorite so far!
These concept looks neat so far, can't wait to see the other of its typing ...psychic, electric, ice, ground, steel, dark, poison especially ice type. Give it's ice type jaw shape similar like Steelix lower jaw, Please !!!
I would 100% use Clockatrice on my team
Same here.
Please help I don't get the pun for Clockatrice
@@tokyoceteris7839 "Clockatrice" comes from a combination of "Cockatrice" (which is a mythical beast that kinda resembles a dragon) and "Clock", as if "cleaning somebody's clock", which mean beating someone up, like a fighter beating up someone in a fight. Hope that it helps.
First off what an Egg-cellent 🥚 idea which I am with you on the names, & would love to see the rest of the typings
Oooo! Oooooo! Came up with a name for the psychic dragon type. Psychydra. Psychic Hydra.
Ooo i realy like the idea of this, imagine if did all the physical types to conter eevee having only special types
Grassilisk is my favorite evolution from Eggolu 💚
Love the initial idea and Eggolou, since it avoids the more obvious one in the evolutions just being the opposites of Eevee.
The evolutions are honestly great, with the sole exception of Wyburn (in my opinion), whoreminds me of a Charmander with flaming eyebrows and spikes. :)
The others have a lot of charm, and look like there was a lot of inspiration being pulled from basically everywhere. My favorite is the Clockatrice, with Grassilisk being a close second.
12:00 "Long" in Chinese means dragon, so you coulda just did that and had a lot more creative libraty
These designs look very cool and the dragon stone evolution is an awesome idea,i would pick clockatrice as my partner
I personally really like this idea and the fakemon that came to be because of it ( Clockatrice being my favorite).
Eggolu is beautiful
I kinda had a similar idea I drew a few days ago😂 Dual type dragon Eevee equivalent but the concepts are entirely different
I love theeeeeese The ghost type is definitely grade A. The grass type is right up there with him
when will we find out more about the TCG?
