Excellent interview! 👏I have followed the GGBC since the first podcast came out: and this is my new favourite episode. I love stories of the old days! Ali could box circles around Fury and Ngannou in the same ring at once; and Frazier, Foreman, or Lewis could punch holes through them both. That his response to being curtly told to put out a cigarette by George Foreman was “Say Please” - top class. 👌 @48:31 - an old(er) boy would tell you “best heavyweight we have ever had - since Bob Fitzsimmons.”😏😝 I wish he talked more about Tommy 'Hitman' Hearns; he was my favourite out of the Four Kings. Extremely pleased he mentioned Ken Buchanan; my all time favourite fighter to watch and tends to get forgotten in favour of Calzaghe when we have best British boxer ever conversations. I had never heard of John Conteh; look forward to watching his work. 👍 Brilliant job all round.
Best pod you guys have done. Brilliant. Get him on again, he's probably got a thousand stories we've never heard. Compare that to the usual "When is Fury fighting Joshua" questions, this is on a different level.
Wata great man like me grandad lisen to all day long can’t buy education of men been there done groves amazing boxer nothing but highest respect for groves
That was brilliant me n big Col share the same fav fighter …. Is funny how the old American with the Stetson went for sugar Ray Robinson he was me dad’s favourite ❤️ am lucky 🍀 to have me Dad still with us at 85 years old
I sparred more than a few rounds with George at the old camp at crystal palace, with the ugly buildings and billy joe running around at 12am with his knob out. We went over to Ireland together as well actually in the four nations, shitty little place called Ballybunnion. I beat Anthony...twice, so how about a little mention for me next time haha Michael Hanger
the reality is when Colin was younger there would have been some old timer reporters telling everyone the boxers from the 1920s were the best and would beat Ali and in 20 years time we will have Gareth A Davies spout stories about how Derek Chisora could beat any of the modern heavyweights
Great show really!! Colin Hart is great !! Totally disagree about top 3 British fighters Conteh should never be in that realm!! I'm very much in the know and what I do know is that Galindez at the time would've made easy work of him!!! Galindez beat the guy Conteh beat for the title 4 times Jorge Ahumada!!! He lost to Saad Muhammad twice!! Was down 4 times!! How does Lewis Hatton Fury Froch not get into it all Hall of fame fighters.
Colin Hart is one of the most clueless boxing journalists I have ever seen, it makes no sense. How you can be around the sport for near on 50+ years and still know nothing makes no sense to me. During the Lennox Lewis v Tyrrell Biggs fight Colin Hart said that Lennox Lewis wasn't a big puncher, how can you be sitting ring side of one of the biggest punchers in the 90s and not know that he is a big puncher, and then of course Lennox chinned Tyrell biggs with a big right hand and knocked him out, lmao. Hart is a clueless media schill for brick top. Pushes pro fury narratives, clown. 🤡
What a brilliant and knowledgeable interview 👏👏👏👏
Loved this, I could listen to Colin all day
Great interview. Colin Hart is a walking history of British boxing.

Wata great man like me grandad lisen to all day long can’t buy education of men been there done groves amazing boxer nothing but highest respect for groves
Didn’t Randolph Turpin beat Sugar Ray Robinson?
Love the fact the UK 🇬🇧 ❤ recognised Ali as champion even when he was outlawed by his own government good old British fair play 👍
That was brilliant me n big Col share the same fav fighter …. Is funny how the old American with the Stetson went for sugar Ray Robinson he was me dad’s favourite ❤️ am lucky 🍀 to have me Dad still with us at 85 years old
Yes Cooper got stitched up against Clay .....

😂😂
you're most likely right there.. apart from GAD. He's insufferable. I skip anything with him now 😅
@@samjones9808how does Davies being insufferable mean that he won’t spout stories about how Chisora would be unbeatable in 2050?
There’s no way you have sat on this interview for 8 weeks 🤣
It was Trotsky who inverted the term racist. Racist merely means to love your own culture creed and ancestry. Your people.
Maybe if you wrote something good about him instead of constant criticism you might get an invite.... just a thought.
Thy turned the Minter thing into a race thing but it wqsnt anything to do with race whatsoever
Let me give this one a goal, I bet you this dude has nothing good to say about A J😅
Colin knows his stuff, such a shame that he works for that absolute rag

Worst boxing writer ever totally a fake
