I love that part when you’re jamming out while sewing. A friend of mine told me I need to “get out and have some fun”. I told her I have a blast with my sewing and art!

Ahhh, fun is what YOU think is fun, not anyone else! It took me a long time to realise that - do what makes you HAPPY!!

I am diving into textile art and have been adding machine stitching to my pieces, but didn't think about using an embroidery hoop. Thanks for the great idea! I learn something with each textile art video I watch. ❤️

I absolutely love this! putitng samples on display is such a great idea. I'm taking an experimental design class and would love to create a wall hanging instead of stowing my samples away after the class is over. I loved learning about more feminine textile artists and their techniques too. Will be using some of these ideas for my final samples!

Oh yeah, textiles! I love using them, making them (felting, knitting, weaving). But I kind of had forgotten about what your showing right now. I have done it before, about 25 years ago🙃
Thank you fore reminding me. I'm going to look in my scraps😁

This was really inspiring. Lately what prevents me from sewing is the complicated pattern following, and the need to make everything perfectly. You reminded me of the fun I used to have before I leaned the “rules” of sewing. Now that I’m more aware of the “proper” techniques and everything I do “incorrectly” it’s become pretty intimidating to start a new project. I need to have more fun with it, and try new things 💜Thanks for the perspective 😊
also check out MisterFinchTextiles on Instagram! His work is amazing. I’ve made a couple Jackalopes inspired by his work, and I think perhaps I shall make some more

Always play, whatever art you're making - rules are just guidelines (unless it means you'll break your equipment too, don't do that...) LOVE Mr Finch, his stuff is incredible x

The Victorians and such called the scraps "cabbage"! I love that term. Also...(internal screams) I am having issues with the non-perfect randomness...then again, it does represent my ADHD brain so...le sigh! That baby head though! 🤣🤣🤣

What a good name for the scraps! do ave a go at freeing yourself up if you can, it's fun! (baby head is watching... always watching... ) :)
