The RX 590 is an awsome, very powerfull card, The RX 400/500 Series has a special place in my heart. They were always somewhat affordable (outside of the mining craze of course) cards, that could play anything you throw at them. They never cease to amaze me.

I loved the r9 390x (my first graphics card in my first gaming PC)
The follower rx 580 was also really awesome and good for the money.
and since the rx 590 fatboy came out, i always wanted to have it and test it.
its one of the more rare finds nowadays, because it wasnt that much better then the rx 580 and the 1070 8gb was defenitely more attractive at the time.

Fantastic card, thanks for showing. I've just taken a chance on a 580 8gb one fan, very small, maybe hp OEM. I bought for a mini Corsair case I have, I'll let you know if I've wasted my money or not, my fingers were possibly faster then my brain

This card could benefit grately from an undervolt, would of been interesting to see how much more eficiency was gained from the 12nm die shrink when compared to the previous rx580...Edit: strange that on techpowerup its the same 232mm2 die size...

If this was a car from 2018 it will have 1000 Km onboard. unused card since i bought it. if you enter the video section and search for rx 590 that`s how many times i use it since new.
I think Undervolt its not necessary yet. Maybe if you want to lower the wattage a lot yes. i think overall for the moment THIS RX 590 its ok. other RX cards yes but for some reason the Sapphire models are super cool and with V-sync its enough to distress the whole system.

@@DanielCardei can confirm that the heatsink from the sapphire versions was the best on these cards since I have x mining cards like the 570 nitro+ (the biggest one) that stays around 10degrees cooler than others like xfx or msi even in cases with bad airflow that have 80mm fans... as for the undervolt, maybe they did a better bios version with the newer polaris30
x590 on 12nm that keep the card at around 120w with 1366mhz or whatever since the old ones went at 180w and overheated badly, saw some newer rx570s at 120w holding that frequency but maybe they had newer and better configured bios too...too bad that they cant decode youtube in 4k with the vp9 codec, while the 10 series released in the same year could, so I had to go with that to get 80w with monitor and all at 4k instead of 120w on the rx570 at 1080p with the h264ify plugin to swich vp9 to mp4...
