I bought the Special Edition 2G Super clocked Radeon Sapihire 1200Mhz 3 fan massive edition it was Gorgeous. It was and insane smooth card for years paid $1000 had to order it.
Very pleased... 1080P Ultra all candy Epic Enthusiast settings .Best times for years...Loved those days

Your Xeon W3690 is holding back your Radeon HD 5850 because the Xeon W3690 only supports pcie 2.0 x8 when the Radeon HD 5850 is a pcie 2.0 x16 card so because of the Xeon W3690 the Radeon HD 5850 only has half the pcie lanes available to it limiting its performance.

Alright so i`m testing now a newer card and you know that i own my mistakes :D
its working at pcie 16x 2.0. i notice its idling and going down and up time to time.
to be fair i should have payed attention to that, i didn't think it will be a problem but 100% the cpu/hp z400 puts the card at 16x

@@DanielCardei It trottles back to x8 when not in use to save power. That is normal behavior.

@@DanielCardei If you look at bus interface in GPU-Z it says PCie x16 2.0 @ x8 2.0 which means the Radeon HD 5850 is capable of running at PCie x16 2.0 but the Intel Xeon W3690 only supports PCie x8 2.0 so the Radeon HD 5850 is forced to run at PCie x8 2.0 instead of the maximum 16 lanes.

because of the 1gb Vram i didn`t want to butcher the card. i wanted to add a few that will make the card shine considering the age. Pubg will have put the card 2 feet under.

Actually brother, this gpu runs gta v in direct x 10, 1080p native res. About 50-60fps...you can get maximum out of it with a old i7 2nd gen k processor.
I have it. I played batman Arkham City with highest settings without Nvidia physix, at 1080p native, fps is all the way 60+. 😊
Unfortunately this card lacks dx11 support 😢

this card does have dx11 but not dx12. maybe this CPU has problems or is to slow the bandwidth from pcie and can`t use the gpu at max.

Some will say that ATI FirePro V9800 is outdated and lacks the performance, features, and efficiency of modern GPUs, making it unsuitable for 2024 but if you find it cheap its a decent card in a world where efficiency its not important.
