Great presentation. It makes sense to me, when I first started having pylori symptoms was 4-5 years ago, I had lots of acid reflux, burping, gastritis etc, I never treated it because I didn’t know a bacteria could cause this and I thought all this was a response to my high fat/carb diet, after cleaning my diet I still had the symptoms.. 4 years from that and those symptoms have been greatly reduced without any treatment, but I got other diseases (confirmed) like candida and bacterial overgrowth, which IMO were caused by low stomach acid, thanks to the pylori. The scary part for me is that I believe that my chronic pylori, has made its way through the bottom of my stomach cells.. I believe this because, A) I no longer have acid related symptoms, B) I’ve done different tests to catch the infection with 2 positive tests and several false negatives (including a biopsy and blood) C) I have low stomach acid based on tests I’ve tried.. My question is, is there any protocol which incorporates urea with abx to attract pylori to the surface, out of the gastric glands roots?

Eliminating the bacteria has improved my health in several unexpected ways. Besides eliminating bleeding ulcers it (treatment) eliminated virtually all gas and gas odor, muscle cramping, and reduced auto immune ailments such as rheumatoid arthritis. I think this is related to the improvement in nutrition absorption, eliminating intestinal inflammation, and improving electrolyte balance. Wow, unexpected improvements.
It was really interesting and although I'm not a biologist I couldn't help but to watch it until the end. One question that came to my mind is why this bacterium also doesn't live in the urinary system? Because of too high urea concentration not being useful for anything?

So is there a therapy that combines urea (for attraction of the hp) with an antibiotic?
I got the same question
Not urea but the only thing I have heard are biofilm disruptors like NAC.
Excellent great presentation and work!
What a fantastic story. Gotta respect H. pylori :)
Loved this. Not a biologist myself
Amazing work of all these amazing scientists. Just wonder what new therapies besides the 14 days triple therapy and 10 days therapy ( Bismuth subcitrate potassium 140mg
Metronidazole 125 mg, tetracycline HCI 125 mg) do we have? since it seems that eradication of this bacteria is difficult.
I found this video because I have an H Pylori infection, and I have a naturopathic doctor that is helping me with probiotics, a food regimen and supplements. It sounds wild but I think this should be our first line of defense so I figure it's worth sharing. Antibiotics also kill healthy bacteria that our gut bicrobiome thrive from which takes months or even years to come back from with guidance, so taking that into account makes it extra worthwhile to try other methods first with less drastic consequences.
@@Literallywhateverahhhhh Sounds good, in my case I had h Pilory but also gallbladder stones. Gallbladder removed and heartburn disappeared.
@@Literallywhateverahhhhh Did you have any luck with a natural path treatment? If so would you mind sharing what supplements you took? I also have h pylori and am researching better ways to treat naturally, the prescribed antibiotics will be my last resort as you said it can kill good bacteria too and throw off the gut microbios
@@sofiaolguin6776 Lactobacillus Reuteri, Mediterranean oil of oregano(80%+ carvacrol), mastik gum and broccoli sprouts/sulforaphane are known to kill it
The quad treatment with Bismuth did not work for me, but medukha honey with 16+ factor and mastic seem to help.
So h pylori lowers stomach acid, witch the can increase your risk for other gut infection like sibo??
Should I be treated if I have no symptoms
Dr Julie , please consider culturing a bacteriophage that can help eradicate h pylori resistant to antibiotics..Thanks
Thank you so much for this informative lecture! This bacterium is one heck of a problem! The Government health admin., should go to war on this infectious microbe!
I tested for h. Pylori because I was having stomach pains and nausea but I believe it's from my calcium supplements because I slow down on those and not as much symptoms so I wonder if I would have ever known and just been ok for life because now I'm stressing over it 🥺
you guys are doing such a great job , keep it up, there are so many peoples in the world who are suffering with lots of problem like ulcers, gastritis, etc.. and i am one of them , cant be there some method which killed this bacteria and cure all of us :(
Are you sure that completely eradicating helicobacter would be a good thing? These things usually exist symbiotically. Best to fully understand its existential context before attempting to eradicate it.
At the moment, in my view the better approach would be to figure out why those who don't succumb to it don't and why those who do, do.
@@beedebawng2556 That's very interesting I had never looked at it that way.

Hi, very interresting talk, there was one thing i was wondering about though.
You describe that the urea gradient directly affects the bacteria, is it not possible that a ph gradient from urea+urease is causing this ? As you showed also that they react to a ph gradient.
ahhh a terrain theorist confronts the germ theory i wondered also if the bug is the fireman
I have h.pylori since 15 years my daijestic system is very bad I'm not sleep a relaxing mood all night I seen v.bad nd denjirous memory all night my stool not passing well. I have too much gas in my stomach.
you should take antibiotics and get it cleared.
Mastic gum has proven to be very effective in killing h pylori as well as healing ulcers
@@lyntaylor4131 are you chewing it or literally swallowing the gum crystals?
Hi @@mattzere78 I bought the capsules that contain the ground up gum. It made such a difference. You have to stay on them for a couple of months. There are several different strengths. I started with a low dose of 50mg then increased to the 1000mg ones. Then tried the 300mg ones, because I had read that some people had experienced kidney problems, but I think that is very rare.
I found the 300mg ones were best. Good luck with what you choose 🤗
How many years u sick?
Great Job
Many thanks
Hi. I’m going through something now although I’am not perfectly sure if it’s this. I should hopefully be able to be seen today by a gastroenterologist. But in case: do you know now of a solution, or can this be cleansed out, healed ex ex?

Hi im diagnosed with ulsirtive colitis and test show heavy low iron levels. Also h pylory. So any advice to kill it in the tissue??
Hi Can you get this from.Sinus fr. Nose not cure on n off long time?
Really great work
Having this bacteria I understand it's causing stomach and intestinal gas, what about burping to the point of chest pain... is that also a common symptom ?
yes , it can also lead to breathing difficulties, feeling full after having little food, frequent head-aches etc
so what is the protein that helps disable HP ??
Excuisite research, really skillful in your presentation as well! But please hurry up to find a solution other than antibiotics for us with h. pylori since we suffer hell and risk our lives ! I know your'e doing your best.
Well said! Couldn’t agree more!
interesting work.
Hi, I'm just curious to know how you guys got a fluorescent labelled bacteria from a 'clinical sample' for your confocal experiment ?!!
What are you implying sir?
Thank you for the video brilliant mind.
Very informative video 👍
From what I understood it is much more complicated because it travels deep into the stomach cells. and current treatment are not effective?
My doctor prescribed me antibiotics and it cured it up in less than 4 weeks. It's been 9 years but now I'm severely bloated again. They tested me for stomach cancer the first time and there was no stomach cancer. It is linked to cause stomach cancer and ulcers but it is not a high percentage of people that get cancer from it, so the researchers say.
