Very informative review! I am quite certain you're right, this is a rebranded Tonewinner AT300. The remote and menu look identical, and the back panel is very similar. I am just happy there are more choices for budget processors now.

They do look similar except that the tonewinner only has 14 XLR outputs vs. 17 XLR outputs for the IOTA. Also the Tonewinner does not have the PC Audio USB input which I would find very useful in my system when playing 2 channel audio files. What other budget AV processors have you been looking at?

How does this work connected to a PC? Doe the PC see it as a 17 channel audio interface? Can you play Dolby Atmos music and movies through the PC? Does it have ASIO drivers if one want to use it as a professional mixing and mastering USB audio interface?

picked up another denon 3800h today and I seemed to have did what I wanted in auro3D, which is 5.1.6 to 7.1.8. But who knows I have no idea what I'm doing. Just plugged the output of one to the input of the 2nd, messed around in video option to turn monitor 1/2 to activate and I got sound, I already had picture. Then I go to to the speakers plug them in and it works, also the info button shows the channels active as intended. But again I'm prob looking at something wrong. The remote works for both. I can get a 16th channel using the vog of the 2nd avr and 8 subs.

First time seen video from you. Very nice and honest work. Have heard the brand. 17 channels are WAY too many for such a low price. At this price point they souldn't put more than 11. The issues you experienced sould be adressed, but I don't mind menu is old school, becouse of the low price. None the less, I'm interested too in this thing. It aims only hometheater enthousiasts and not hard core gamers, unless you don't mind "only" 60 frames per second.

1: How does the IOTA compare to Anthem, Arcam and Nad AVR’s for sound quality
2: Did you test it for music with and without the bluetooth adaptor.
3: Regarding sound quality: anything that could of been better.
    Many thanks.

Thanks for watching! Unfortunately we haven't heard the Tonewinner AT-300, but as we mentioned in the video, we feel there's strong evidence to conclude that this unit was manufactured by Tonewinner, and the two do share similarities on the inside, but from an engineering standpoint, we don't know how they compare in terms of performance. Major upgrade in sound quality over my Denon X3400H. Never knew my old M&K 750s and V1250 sub could sound so good. Unfortunately, the sub line outs didn't work until I updated the firmware, then sub line out 3/4 didn't work. The unit wouldn't save any settings after the upgrade. I couldn't watch a movie on the projector unless the TV was turned on connected to the ARC output. Will be returning this asap.

Oh you once had an X3400H! That's the same receive I have right now. Maybe one day I'll get me a Tone Winner AT-300 as I only have a single Klipsch RP-1000SW subwoofer. I don't have enough room for a second subwoofer but I'll go dual subs in the future.
