In this video we take to the skies again for Andras Meridian Airlines. I've just started to get to grips with the excellent Flysimware C414AW Chancellor and it's a wonderful aircraft to fly for this VA.
This is in no way a tutorial..mistakes are made..for example I should have checked the first fuel Kg to US Gall conversion I got because, whilst we had enough fuel, the fuel computer had the wrong data inputted!
Oh an also for the record, the windsock WAS pointing the right way. Backtracking on the runway must have scrambled my sense of direction!

It's a great plane. I'm loving this plane. The sound is great. Flight model excelent.
You just forgot to activate transponder before entering rwy.
One thing I started to pay attention is the passenger confort. So we have to play around with air-conditioning and cabin heat.
A few days ago I had some ice condition and the visual effect are also great. I'm using Aviatife to spice up my flight choices. I usually fly 3 legs with this plane everything I can. After being away from FSX for about 9 years I'm finally enjoying MSFS again with this plane and Kodiak 100. With MSFS scenery visual flights are much more intersting than big jets.

What exciting times we are in with Flight Simulator! I miss the days I flew for a Virtual Airline. It was many years ago, Lynx Airways. Time to take a look at Andras Meridian Airlines, for the nostalgia and fun. Not yet ready, new computer soon, though!
AMA is my first VA but it is great fun and gives purpose to some of my GA flights. Great team there!

I'm really enjoying the 414 in VR! Funny how I thought I was losing my mind today, as I landed with a stiff crosswind while fighting to understand why the windsock was telling me it was coming from my other side, lol. You confirmed that I'm still sane. 😂
I had to remind myself that IRL, I'm not really paying much attention to the windsock on short final. I'm doing whatever it takes to maintain runway centerline. As much as I love this sim (especially in VR), Asobo has a heck of a lot that needs to be fixed...STILL.

Yes and this aircraft, especially this build, is/was very sensitive to the crosswind component in the sim and I have also found as soon as she touches down it’s a new set of sim physics to deal with. Great fun though!

Cheers Charlie, oh its always me doing the videos on the channel. Thanks for watching! Flying for the VA is food fun. There are a couple of older videos on the channel flying for them in the V35B in P3D. Nice to have a different reason for, and mode of flying.
Yes the VA angle has got me interested, I read the VA info available on their web site and it sounds very professional and reminds me of the M.O. of the airlines I worked for, I looked at their fleet but realise I don’t have many of those aircraft in my virtual hangar so not sure it would be suitable for me. Just going back to your presentations, I am subscribed to your channel but had not had any notifications for some weeks that’s what prompted my comment on perhaps you had moved on to “ other climes” glad you are still making content, I really enjoy the productions and great for learning. - Thanks
@@CMACJAZZ I totally understand regarding the aircraft. For my flying I only need the C414 and V35B at the moment. I already have the DC-6 ready if I ever decide to go up a step. Ah that’s strange you weren’t getting the notifications. Not sure if I have something not set right. I will have a look. Many thanks!

On other videos i never see vibration and shaking airframe during engine start, its so realistic here, do you have some different settings ? Because its the first time i see it on the 414

Yes if you are watching the video still you will see the reason why in a bit! Let’s just say one of my controllers seems to have reset to default! 🤷🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️

Yes I have the c414 Chancellor and DC6 from PMDG but those aircraft were not listed in the VA”s fleet listing so guess you cannot operate any aircraft not in their fleet? I only have MSFS enabled, I used to have P3D. I”ll send an email to the VA for guidance. Thanks again for help.
Ah there are a lot more available. You can fly the C414 as I am doing here and the DC-6 is in there too. You would just need to check regarding one being available from where you want to fly as they purchase the aircraft for the fleet so there is a finite amount of aircraft available but a huge range of aircraft in the sim. I suspect the website probably needs updating. They are really good at adding new types.
It's kinda funny how you fumble around with the autopilot going all over the place, flying a procedure without a chart while talking about doing something else while flying and on the website of the VA it states FLY REALISTIC, NO AFK and stuff.... PICK ONE.
