We have the Beta 350RRS dual-sport bike, wet dirt and perfect riding weather. What could be better? The 350 is one of four identical-looking Beta dual-sport bikes that often have riders overwhelmed. There’s a parable about an indecisive donkey standing between two identical piles of hay. Eventually the donkey starves to death-that’s Beta dual-sport riders. In truth the 350, 390, 430 and 500 are all great machines with different personalities. Why doesn’t Beta get rid of one? They say it’s like deciding between your kids. The 350 has the same chassis and most of the same motor as the others-it differs only in bore and stroke. As we have often pointed out, a bike’s power delivery is the single most factor affecting handling. The 350 is snappy and responsive. It revs quickly and has very little engine braking. That’s easy to understand, but the 350 also feels much lighter than the larger bikes. On our scale, it weighs 253 pounds. You would swear it weighs much less. For comparison, a KTM 350EXC dual-sport weighs 14 pounds less. Some of that is in the suspension. The Beta has linkage in the rear, whereas the KTM uses PDS.The Beta also comes with decent, dirt-worthy Michelin tires and rim locks, whereas the KTM has Continental tires that are heavily street oriented. The cherry on the top is the Voyager GPS which is standard equipment on all of Beta’s dual-sport bikes. The MSRP is $11,499. We are riding the wheels off the Beta right now and we have a 350 dual-sport comparison in the works. Stay tuned.

Thank you guys for making these videos. You're really the only ones giving any attention to the dual sports, especially with the shoot outs. Always filmed and narrated beautifully. Great work.
Thanks for the positive feedback! Appreciate it!
3 months ago I bought the 2023 beta 500 RRS. I’ve been an off-road racer for 30 years and have owned lots of bikes I still have a husky TE 300 in my opinion this beta is by far the best bike out of the box I have ever ridden it truly needs nothing except a new seat and longer kickstand I’m leaving it engine wise all stock. And any up grades as far as hard parts is just a phone call away no problem getting anything. And another note they have the best warranty in the business and the best customer service
Great summary, and all truth. Beta by far, a better bike!
I have a Beta 390 rrs. It doesnt kill my butt like my XR650R did. With my Beta, I bought it to start riding with son again. He has a Beta 300rr. At 58 and not been on a bike in 25 years, The 390 is great.
Wonderful video...... Nice camera work !!!! Beta is an awesome bike, I have a 350 RR and a 430 RR-S Hundreds of hours all trouble free
Really appreciate it!
🎉 two thumbs up for dual sport season
👍👍
I have had the 22 model for over a year and your review is very accurate and I'd like to add that with over 4000 miles of very tough singletrack and some light street riding , I have not had any issues and have only had to adjust 1 valve at around 2000 miles. Zero upgrades besides protection stuff( skidplate from moose and cycra handguards with G2 adjustable inner clamp.
I look forward to all your videos , especially dual sports . Your content helped in my decision last year when buying a new dual sport. I decided on a Beta 390 RR S , and absolutely love it. Keep up the great work.
First I wanted a EXC-F, then I wanted a Beta for the pure performance. After watching your dual-sport shootout and knowing I'd have to live with the bike on the street, I settled on the CRF450RL. 10,000 miles later I'd buy the same bike again. Thanks for these reviews.
Smart. Beta's and KTM's arent meant for putting on miles. I know several people with +20,000 miles on the 450L's already. No issues or valve adjustments
Think that's what I'll go for as well. 450RL or was thinking 300L rally? but will probably use for more commute for a while. and just fun!
450rl amazing bike rock solid
Also went with the 450RL and absolutely love it as a desert dual sport, but now searching for a lighter bike for single track. I think I've found it in the 350RR-S.
You guys do good stuff, right length, right amount of detail, with great video.
Thank You! We work hard to deliver these
Another well produced video, thank you for the thoughtful reviews and high quality videos - one of the best channels!
Thanks for the dual sport series y'all, I love it. Can't wait for the 350 comparo. Definitely the class I'm looking at for when it's time to sell my WR250R
Appreciate the positive feedback!
Came for the Beta dirtbikes but as a guitar player, the playing at the beginning is at A class
Dzięki za film.
Właśnie stałem się posiadaczem Bety 350 RR z 2020 r. praktycznie z zerowym przebiegiem. :)
These videos are really helpful.
Is a 500 comparison video in the works as well?
I got the 2022 390 version. Outstanding bike. And yes, I didn’t have to spend a dime more. Well, I did replace that huge tail fender, and got some appropriate hand guards.😅
Did you install an RR fender? Just bought a 500 RRS and am ordering an RR fender through Jared at 3Seas. But he says they're backordered, no kidding, the stock setup is hideous.
@@captainamerica9353 Got the fender from Langs Off-road…included turn signals 👍 Completely happy with it. Looks great!
The lighter emissions restrictions makes the Beta really appealing.
Great review. Love the video work. Keep it up DIRTBIKE!!
This keeps us going! Thanks
Great review. Will look for 390 review for comparison.
Good report, well done video, lovely 350.
Great video, very thorough. I have a crf450rl now and not loving it in Michigan trails, thinking this would be better fit for what I'm doing.
Roosting through the woods as we go.
Good looking video, and factual. I own a 2021 390RR-S. I subscribe to Dirt Bike, print edition, and this video is better than many whole issues. (I'll keep my subscription though because its full of MOTORCYCLE PICTURES.)
Thank You. Love al this positive feedback on our latest release. Love to see it
Sounds like a real dirt bike!
Think I finally found my dream bike.
Looks like a cool bike for a supermoto conversion. The initial price is a bit steep but it`s really low weight so probably lots of fun!
I know what you mean, it's either an under sprung klx300 for 7k or a de-tuned race bike for 12k.
I have a 450rl now which is kinda in the middle, but this seems much better for trails.
You guys should have 2 mil subs
Neat bike!
My $2k China bike is jealous
Beatifiull bike
love my 390. thing barks for a street legal bike
I’ve heard that the 390 is the one to pick.
That seat looks a bit like an after thought.
What's the comfort levels like after being on it for a longer ride?
@@katiposcotty the seat is very hard and flat compared to other bikes. But if you’re a racer you will grow to like it
@@walterconn5637 I also had a 350 race edition. Both are awesome. Just depends on what type of riding you’re doing
The 390 is the best of the bunch. It reminds me of my old KTM 400 EXC. IT did everything well.
First thing, I’d get wrap arounds. Having a broken brake or clutch lever in the boonies is no joke. Add a better skid plate, a shark fin rear disk guard and set sail.
Looking for a used one currently definitely the 2 smaller versions for more off-road use
So it's pushing 270lbs fueled up? And I thought they were within a few pounds of KTMs. Does Beta equip them with a lead-acid battery?
How does it compare to the Husky and KTM? If you were to buy one which would you consider?
Any plans to review the 2023 Beta 500 rr-s or do a 500cc comparison video for this year?
Coming soon hang tight!
@@DirtBikeMagazine Awesome! Look forward to it. Really enjoy the reviews and content you all put together. Straightforward, honest channel with thorough information.
I am torn between 3 bikes for my next purchase. Beta 350, 390 or a Rieju 300. My two all time favorite trail bikes have been the 2007 KTM 400 and the 2017 KTM 300. Decisions, decisions.
Beta.....it would be nice if a person could get one in Alberta.
I looked n looked for the 350RRS.
Finally gave up and went back to a 350exc.....simply because it was available and I know their potential from owning one before.
Tuned, uncorked, desmogged, exhaust, springs....my 350exc is a beast now.....but going with the Beta would have saved thousands.
Isn't there one in Edmonton and Calgary?
@Captain America
Dealers....yes
Bikes....especially last couple years not so much.
Might be different now....doesn't matter to me tho with the 350exc in garage.
And I'm not sure they were bringing in the street legal ones at all.
Oh tasty.
Great review! I really like this brand and the fact that they don't need a lot of modifications, what keeps me from buying one that there is not a lot of dealers network
Thanks for watching!
ferkuzuel , where do you live? I'm in Northern Wisconsin and we have nothing for bike dealers. It's all about boats, ATV's and snowmobiles, yet I now have a Beta dealer a little over an hour away (in MN), and 3 within 4 hours. Just bought my 500RRS from the Mom and Pop dealer in MN and they are selling all the Beta's they are getting. I ordered mine in February and it arrived two weeks ago. The Trials bike they had when I went to get my bike was sold, and they've sold 8 Beta's this year already and again from a mom and pop in rural MN.
@@captainamerica9353 congratulations on your new bike! Am in Austin, TX, I believe the nearest dealer is in Houston, TX about 3hrs away
@@ferkuzuel , the Dealer Locator shows one in Austin and one in San Marcos. Is that incorrect?
@@captainamerica9353 At the time of my search it was a little confusing since the dealer in Austin was registered as a different type of business and not as an actual motorcycle shop, so I ended up buying a ktm 690
Ron is still with Dirt Bike? Subscribe immediately! Thank God you are still here telling it straight. I'll be going through the archives now.
It seems like an alternative drz😀🤟
It does seem to be the holy grail, especially the 390. Then you look into maintenance intervals...
✌👍
Sounds like you are describing a trail bike and not a dual sport. Same thing i noticed in your 500 comparison, rated the 450l last because its heavy on trails. I guess the lines between styles of bike blur...
Sounds like terrible mileage, is there a way to lean it out ?
What about service intervals? How do they compare to other bikes in this category?
We have a comparison coming sit tight
Me over here as a motocross guy
We don’t need the stock exhaust and we don’t need the fancy pants double tune let’s put suspension and a yoshi on it
Is this a duel sport or a enduro bike? I would say more of a enduro bike.
the Italian bike can "run much closer to the limits" eh? ;)
Kind of want to sell my wr250f for this.
If u need a plated trail/enduro bike, the 350 is a lot better than the 390. If u rode the 350 vs the 390 back to back on a trail, the 390 feels more like a heavy DRZ with choppy low rpm power. Its more popular for dual sport cuz the extra torque. But the 350 is so much more nimble and zippy on single track. Great bikes, dont see them much. The 350RR is more popular as a woods GNCC racer
Front light to big... One hit by rock its gone... Beta stick to the smaler...
do this kinda offroad riding in the open in Germany and you get fined the hell out of you ... there is basically not a single open space in that country where you can do that legally ...
So...it's got a neutered DS motor that doesn't have the power of even a 250RR, but it's not for commuting? Hard pass. It's got to be one or the other, which is why the Kaw and Honda small DS bikes are so popular.
I don’t need it.
The perfect bike for a rich "man" with long lady legs.
It just seems boring
Sorry you are upset
can you talk about all of them? differences? besides engine size
Wow there is another Ron on this planet!
