Thank you! Such a helpful video. There are too many videos just doing gaming-related testing/benchmarks so it's such a great resource to having these creator-focused videos. If someone is doing creative work AND gaming, they could pair this video with Gamers Nexus's video on the 12400 vs. 12500 to get full picture for both gaming and creative work.
RUclips's algorithm really loves the word "creator" haha. I would love an pro audio PC build guide that takes audio interface latency into account (thunderbolt and usb). The whole WIN11 vs WIn10 and 12th gen vs Ryzen discourse makes picking components for this use case hard.
did you check the core stepping? the better i5 12400 results might be related to being H0 vs C0 In notebook it also happens that slower cpus perform better in the long run as the efficiency comes into play - 200mhz could mean just 2% better at full speed, but 10% more heat, thus depleting any heat buffer much faster than the performance gain you get. It was evident with 8th gen 6 core "i9" that were +slower than lower clocked same core count i7 in the same chassis unable to dissipate the 30w difference

12500 and 12600 both have a higher PL2 power draw than 12400. Power consumption is very slightly different . Not visible but they have shorter higher boosts draws. (we are talking 10 to 25 watts) They may require a higher PSU although I don't favor more wattage race at all
Nice video comparison's you do that are very useful for creators. Thanks! Is it possible to compare the new 12th Gen laptop processor since they have different iGPU - Intel® Iris® Xe Graphics in them to see if they are any good compare to UHD 770?
It's a lot more expensive to compare laptop processors because you have to buy the whole machine instead of just the processor. And then trying to match the platform would be a nightmare.
Now it's time for 12700k BTW the colour grading looks Little off in this video, skin tone is too yellowish, I don't know colour grading but just giving my opinion. Previous videos had better colours, catchy song though

1:24 your video says "3" execution units on the 12500 and 24 on the 12400. Great video!
Great information as always. So nice to find a custom pc channel that is about creative work instead of RGB and gaming 😁
Couldn't agree more. Well said.
On the other hand. I have heard that including RGB to your rig, adds at least 10% performance.

I think TB generally is better on Intel so Probably would go that way :)
there are thousands of self called creators out there, only a hand full are really good, and know what the word 'creator' means.
Here I am trying to upgrade my PC. Going back and forth to Amazon and TN. God Bless You, Man🙏🏼🙏🏼 You really helped me like A LOT!!!🎉🎉
The only channel i believe for "productivity" benchmark.
You would expect the 12500 to perform better in Photoshop due to slightly higher base and turbo frequencies!

i thought it was cheap cause it was used months later in the same year I did research and found out it was from 2011
I dont follow cpus often so I didnt know it was a 12th or 11th 10th gen until last week
I do watch vids but usually gpus game benchmarks and don't pay attention to anything but the gpus

Can i build pc with 12400 for after effects does it lag while the ram previews in after effects

Can this CPU 12400 edit 2k videos smoothly or does it have to be upgraded to intel i5 12600K, thanks!

I bet we'd see that type of comparison on over at Ben G Kaiser's channel ;)

do you know if its intel 13400 cpu performance is much better than intel i5 12400

@Eiah not available for small fish hand yet.. only for dragon and shark
