Thanks for the video! All the autoparts store's in my area showed the 2000 TJ didn't have a blinker relay. This allowed me to pull the relay in 5 minutes, then begin the hunt. I went to 4 different auto part stores and the dealer wanted $160 for the part alone (and it would take 4 days to get). I finally found a workable substitute at Advanced Auto: the Novita EP26. Five minutes to install (though I used a zip to secure it as the EP26 doesn't have a hole for the screw).
I added led to my turn signals and replaced the relay on top of the steering column. That fixed the turn signals but the hazards now don’t work. Is there a separate relay for hazard lights?
On my 2006 it was on the top side of the steering wheel next to the multi connector. Replace Part Number: LM470 at O'Reilly's. Hope this helps. Took me a few days to find it but it did the trick
Im thinking this is the problem with my jeep. My right signal works fine. My left signal will flash once or twice after the right one is on. but the 4 ways work all the time. Making me unsure if its external wiring harness issues or that flasher.
I recently had the same problem we’re my turning signals did not work as stated by a previous comment for years 01-05 it has it on top. I recently put LED interior lights on mine and my blinkers stop working I disconnected the relay n plugged it back and they started working there is a relay you can purchase if u added LED lights to your Jeep would would have to purchase that relay in order for it to work properly
I’m going to try the relay because I’m still having problems with my blinkers.Everything works except emergency lights and my blinking light (left and right).I bought a brand new blinker switch but it didn’t do anything at all.I put the old blinker switch back on and everything worked except the blinkers and emergency.I hope all I need is the relay.
I replaced my bulbs and relay for LED's and LED relay on my 2004 tj sahara. Turn signals worked ok, then switched on the hazard lights which flashed like strobe lights for 2 seconds and stopped. Now nothing is working. Found 10a fuse 13 under the dash was blown , replaced this aswell as refitting all the original bulbs and original relay, and nothing works now . Any Ideas would be truly grateful???
It appears that my 1999 Jeep Wrangler TJ has the same set up. Was it difficult to take the original relay apart to clean, and did you need to glue the case back together or does it just snap back onto the relay board? I am going to look around town (Fairbanks, Alaska) for an OEM relay, but if I can repair the original in the vehicle now then I'll fix it and have a spare. The drivers side rear turn signal is the culprit. The front works fine as does both right side turn signals. I replaced the bulb and for a few days it worked fine but then quit again. Every once in a while when its cooler or cold they signal will work, but then once activated a few seconds later it goes to rapid flashing. Thank you for your video, it should be easy to get those panels off and get at the relay itself. This video was of immense help and relieved my worries about this problem.
@@pusherpilot chit. Well I have seen this the turn signal just stay on for both left and right also hazard signal. Also dang thing works other days. Thank you for the feedback 😊👍

If it didn't have a relay it wouldn't blink lol

It's nice to know that the Doom soldier drives a TJ.

Probably be ok Just to clean the relay like I did in the video. No Cost fix!
so did either blinker work or does relay knock both blinkers out
The blinkers were not working at all (both were out.)

The relay snapped back together. Did not have to glue it
Same exact in my 98 TJ
Did your turn signal light just stay on before the fix!?
