    If you have a 1997, 1998, or 1999 TJ the EP26 flasher relay is located to the right of the steering column, further back. It is secured with an 8mm bolt and a metal clip.

    • @jeepadventures909
      @jeepadventures909  Год назад

      Yeah I realized this after I posted the video and RUclips wouldn't allow me to change the description without uploading the video all over again. Hopefully enough people will read your comment and find the relay. Thank you for commenting.

    If it weren't for people like you making simple videos like this to post on YT I wouldn't have been able to fix this 15 mins after it's stopped working in an AutoZone parking lot for a few dollars. Just bought another TJ, don't tell the wife, and it's got front led turn signals. Thanks buddy! Fun fact, the guy I bought it from clearly installed the CB antenna when it had a soft top so the hatch on the hard top can't be opened unless I remove the antenna.🤣

    Thanks a bunch for helping me find this! My blinker was flashing fast on the right hand and all the bulbs still worked. I checked the relay thanks to you and it had a TINY bit of corrosion on it that made it flash double. Fixed! I’m excited about the LED conversion too because I want to do that down the road.

      I believe The 98 blinker relay is in a different location. It's located under the dash on the drivers side. I can confirm and let you know?

    Thwbks man that worked. For anyone having the same issue...i had 02 wrangler with led headlights...led taillights...and stock indicator lights. I had the hyper flash. Finally bought the lm470 relay and took 5 min to solve. 30 bucks for the part.

    Hey man I loved this video!I I love your wrangler as well it's badass🤘.keep up with the great work!! I recently had to change the turn signal switch only the turn signal switch not the wiper switch on my 2002 wrangler Sahara. When switching the Flasher relay from the old switch to the new one. I noticed that my turn signals and my hazards don't work. I tried getting a new Flasher relay from O'Reillys but they gave me a shorter one , it wasn't the exact same one but they said it should have worked but unfortunately it didn't. I checked connections , fuses and everything seems to be fine. I was wondering what I can do to fix this issue? Getting a OEM Flasher etc? I'm at a dead end right now . And I am thinking about getting the exact same Flasher relay as yourself since I am using LEDS as well. Lmk what you thank thank you!!

    I put just led headlights on mine and now the hazard flashers don't work but the left & right blinkers do. Think it could be the headlights 🤔 or the relay? I don't have a tilt column, so changing the front lamps back would probably be easier 😅

    • @jeepadventures909
      @jeepadventures909  2 года назад

      It's most likely the relay. You can add a couple 50watt 6 ohm resistors inline with the LED blinkers and it will cure your problem. You can find them on ebay and Amazon for pretty cheap just search LED Resistor and a bunch of options will show up. Hope this helps.

    Replaced flasher as recommended. The turn signals work. The hazards do not. Any thoughts ?

    • @jeepadventures909
      @jeepadventures909  3 года назад

      Yes I've found that some LED flasher relays do not provide hazards. The only thing I've found that works is swapping relays until you get one that works. Or it gets really technical with changing values of capacitors in the relay control board. Or even just a little bit of resistance in line with the light bulb works too but then what was the point of changing the flasher to begin with lol. I'll try to make a video on modifying the relay for flashers for you.

  • @BrianDFugate
    @BrianDFugate 4 года назад +1

    Ok so I changed all the bulbs on my Jeep to led bulb conversions what ever you want to call em but anyway and I used the LM470 led relay and now my right signal indicator light in the dash wants to kinda dimly stay on when the headlights are on is this Because I didn’t change the dash lights to led also??

    • @jeepadventures909
      @jeepadventures909  4 года назад

      That's a strange problem. I've never encountered that issue. Usually the reason the light stays on like that is because one of your running lights are burned out. Check all your lights are working properly first. Or maybe you got a bad relay?

    The turn signal on thefront on the passenger side is not working because the wires don’t have power al the turn signals work but that one fuses are ok what should l do to find out what is wrong with the wires

    • @jeepadventures909
      @jeepadventures909  4 года назад

      Get a cheap test light or V.O.M and check the harness for power. If your not getting power and ground from the harness follow the hot wire back to the main harness and check for power there. If you still don't have power you might need to take it to a wiring person because the problem might be under the steering wheel. You also might try replacing your turn signal switch. If you need any further help feel free to message me.

    My blinkers work just fine but years ago my hazard lights stopped working. It was after a dealership had replaced my heater, so not knowing any better I assumed they had forgotten to plug it back in. I never got it fixed but see your video now. So, I need to replace the entire relay? It's a 99TJ, no LED upgrades, just stock everything.

    • @jeepadventures909
      @jeepadventures909  3 года назад

      But your blinkers work?

    • @jessicalittle5905
      @jessicalittle5905 3 года назад +1

      @@jeepadventures909 Correct, Turning signals work when I use them, hazards switch does nothing.

    • @jeepadventures909
      @jeepadventures909  3 года назад

      Then it's probably not the blinker. Check the hazard switch and see if they plugged it back in. Are you in socal?

      I was asking for 2 reasons. One i was going to tell you if you couldn't figure it out to bring it by my shop. And second I was going to ask if were related to a guy named Cliff little. He use to own a sign and tshirt shop here in California and was a good friend of mine. We lost touch about 15 years ago and I've been trying to find him since.
