I just put a new one in. Pain in the ass to find it. And of course I see your vid right after I install it lol! Keep up the great work! Your videos help a lot.
Mine is a 1999. The 2005 I just got finished building is like the one you are talking about where it is on the top of the column. I am not sure of the year change but an easy way to tell is if it has the pull out light switch, it is like mine. if the light switch is on the stalk then it is in the module on top of the column
Yes. this mod just takes away the flasher's ability to alert you if you have a blown light but it will still work normally regardless of the type of lights you have in.
Great video and works great.. The only thing is that when i switch on my lights, the right indicator light on my dash is also on...? any tip on how to solve this?
I haven't had that issue in the past. I did eventually bite the bullet and buy the LED flasher relay. This was mainly due to the fact that once I total LED all the way around including the turn signals, the LED relay performed better.
@@cvsahara If right now I'm just doing replacement LED 'bulbs' in the front stock lights, but no LED brake lights, this should work? If I go LEDS in the back too, this will work as well?
@@mckeancole yes. All this does is remove the low amperage circuit from the relay. Since LEDs pull such small amps, the flasher thinks its blown, and makes the lights hyper flash. this makes it where the flasher cant make the distinction anymore so you dont get the hyper flashing
You have absolutely no years on here as to what this video refers to. I have a 2000 TJ in my flasher relay is on top of the steering column. It would be very wise if you referred to the years for which you are making a video for.
Finally, somebody shows me something that works on my '97 TJ. Thank you!
98 tj. All lights are LED. This worked perfectly. Thank you.
I don't know how u every figured that out. But thank u. Works just fine on a 99 TJ. Saved me 20 bucks.
This is an awesome tip. Works great on my 97 TJ with tube fenders and leds for both turn signal and side markers. Thank you!
Followed your directions on my 98 Jeep Wrangler TJ Sahara and worked like a charm. Thanks for the video.
Awesome, glad I could help!!

EvilDoctor Porky LOL. that's the way it always happens. Murphys law I guess!
Wow! Can't believe how easy that was! Thanks sir!
Thanks alo just did it to my jeep wrangler tj 2000 and it works perfectly!
My 2004 relay IC board looks different, do you know how to modify that?
That's awesome thanks for the tip. Worked great 👍
What’s the relay number part ?
What TJ years this will work...97 to ??
thank you for this.
Thanks for sharing
Will this mod work on the 01-06 Wranglers with the 5-pin relay switch?
You don’t have to take the bracket off to get the relay out if you push it in it comes out no tools
What year is your TJ I have seen other videos of a TJ and they take off the top of the column and it is right there.

@@cvsahara Wonder if this mod to the relay would work on the newer TJs that have the relay on top of the steering column
Mine is a 1997 some it is most likely like yours!
I used to have a 97. It is like mine.
Will turn signals work if I make modifications first before LED lights are installed ??
Yes. this mod just takes away the flasher's ability to alert you if you have a blown light but it will still work normally regardless of the type of lights you have in.

@@cvsahara Awesome. Great video man. Can't wait to get all switched over to LED's.
