    Can we appreciate dynamics, staccato and accelerando in a piece like this? I think that's the difference between gifted babies and real musicians...

    • @rkbrown83
      @rkbrown83 6 месяцев назад

      Yup, the gifted babies and so called prodigies don't play with dynamics and feeling nor do have the emotional maturity of knowing how to play with emotion and this is why I think many of them are so overrated.

  • @timspiano5054
    @timspiano5054 Год назад +19

    This is unreal! The dynamics actually made it sound like a bumblebee, especially the crescendos and the staccatos. Great job 👏

    How to play flight of the bumblebee... Not just playing the notes, astonishing subtle dynamic control at blistering pace, this piece really is difficult at this tempo, there are parts both hands have to match exactly, left hand trill part with declining right hand notes for example.

  • @wobblyorbee279
    @wobblyorbee279 2 года назад +7

    0:33 that triplets were holy shi- well done... the voicing too WOW
    if only it has good audio and acoustics and it will be perfect
    0:41 that dim.
    1:06 THE CHROMATICS WERE JUST SO SMOOTH

      Flight of the bumblebee is original an orchestra piece for a russian opera in which gwidon (гвидон), gets morphed into a bumblebee to invisibly follow a ship on the sea. And what you hear in this piece is just a human as a bumblebee speeding over the sea to capture a ship.

      Id actually only put it at an 8 because while you need amazing technique it is all just fluidity and speed so it might not be worthy of being with other pieces by rachmaninov, chopin, or liszt

    • @hello855
      @hello855 6 лет назад +1

      I’m looking at 7. It’s actually a somewhat easy piece. The only difficulty here is speed, but it has mostly chromatic scales. I don’t think this would be a good exam piece though, very pointless. Definitely easier than most pieces by chopin, Mozart, Beethoven, Debussy, etc.
