I bought one of these new in 1975 . Very early in its life it developed the same problem as you have demonstrated here . Later on the selector switch contacts in the box at the end of that long shaft fell to pieces .
You should get some D100. It's the purest strongest cleaner they make. It's great for pins like that. That F100L is good for small pots and faders that won't clean up with regular Deoxit. They charge so much because those little bottles usually last a long time.
