Early 2020 I tried the cosrx aloe soothing sunscreen and it was the first sunscreen that I can wear everyday without having breakouts ! Finally found one 🤗

You really need to try the black girl sunscreen it is amazing for any skin skin color and the formula is amazing and the price is so affordable for the amount you are getting and you don't even need a face cream before

The Keep Cool sunscreen has been removed off Yesstyle (US) along with the Purito and the Dear Klairs sunscreens 😓 I really hope it's not because its SPF rating is also inaccurate. It's my favorite sunscreen ever.

Thank so much for this video and introducing another YTer! There were many sunscreens I haven’t tried yet and as a fellow oily skin I trust your recs. Happily, I have Keep Cool the way. I always want know when sunscreens are unscented. My favourite right now is Dear Klairs Soft Airy UV Essence.
I fell in love with the Klairs UV Essence this year and I think I’m going to love the Keep Cool one I just started trying! The Son by Mi and Cosrx Aloe gave me a crazyyyy cast my bf wouldn’t stop making fun of me lol I’m light, kind of yellow Latina but I’m glad it works for other POC!
Why did your intro get me as excited as it did? When I tell you I have notebook pages of notes and notes extracted straight from your videos on SPF filters/products. It's pretty exciting. Ramon, how do the mineral ones like Kinship and Cocokind behave in your beard? My facial hair is dark like yours and it seems like every mineral SPF just coats it and leaves it looking gross. Thanks for sharing your favorites, btw ❤️
Unfortunately I loved the purito sunscreen 😭 (still keeping my fingers crossed lol) but I also love the Biore UV perfect milk! Completely different feel than the purito but I love that it’s waterproof/ water resistant!

I have a question! 🙋🏽♀️is the Kroger version's invisible gel spf 40 dangerous because of the orange peel oil? I just researched that the oil was phototoxic if used more than the max recommended amount. It's listed last in the ingredients...... but just curious 👀👀👀
Keep Cool is also my favorite sunscreen, along with B-Lab, which also has the same formulation - i believe they're formulated by the same manufacturer. As for mineral sunscreen, my current favorite is Make P:rem Defense Me Blue Ray Sun Fluid, as it has a very minimal white cast. But i only wear it for reapplication when i stay at home, because i don't feel confident wearing mineral sunscreen outside. I have a light brown skin, and the sun is quite intense here. No matter how minimal the white cast is, when i go outside, my face will look grey-ish under direct sunlight. I also ordered the Axis-Y sunscreen after watching your review. Hopefully this sunscreen can be worn outside, as i'm also quite concerned with Keep Cool's SPF and PA ratings, as it only uses 2 organic filters in a very low percentage, although it uses the broad spectrum Tinosorb S instead of Uvinul T150.
Ooohhhh ive wondered if the axis-y sunscreen is legit as there’s no white cast which makes me think how much zinc is in there (i have trust issues as i was gonna buy purito on the weekend the scandal came out!) swear down the keep cool bamboo sunscreen uses the same filters as the purito centella sunscreen?
There is literally a sunscreen that feels like you put on a moisturizer. It’s called azarine sunscreen gel spf 45++++. It would be awesome if you can do a review on this

Nope! It uses Tinosorb S and Uvinul A Plus, so it’s a more fortified, broad spectrum base with an extra kick in the UVA spectrum. They’re also made by entirely different manufacturers as well!
Glow By Ramón did keep cool say how much percentage of each filter the use in it? I have a few bottles arriving in few weeks, super curious to know what to expect :). Thank u!

I just mean that they’re made by different labs and companies entirely so a lot of the factors around the Purito issue don’t apply since it’s a different formula, filters, primary ingredients and percentages altogether. Kinda like how Popeyes and KFC both have friend chicken, but their proprietary recipes on batter and spices and whatnot make them very unique. The ingredients lists are available readily online, but I had to do digging and do my own research as well, but you can also access information on the manufacturers as well online. I hope this was helpful.

I’ve just purchased this product myself - I just wanted to ask how you knew the keep cool is produced in a different lab then Purito and whether it is being tested alongside all the other sunscreens like Purito, Dear Klairs etc?

I looked into the manufacturers and they’re two completely different manufacturers. It hasn’t been tested yet, unfortunately, or at least the results haven’t been released yet.
You really needed to review the black girl sunscreen it is the best sunscreen out there above and beyond everything on the market right now I can't believe this is the only one you haven't tried yet this is mind-blowing sunscreen The formula 👌👌👌👌👌

Those Japanese sunscreens you are recommending might look good on your skin but it will be a party of free radicle on your skin. All of those have ethanol, alcohol as their top INGRIDIENTS . Someone who is prone to hyperpigmentation will suffer

@ well I'm not a formulator. I wouldn't know but a number of certified black dermatologists who are also cosmetic formulators discourage using sunscreen with alcohol denat or ethanol in it . Maybe one day make a video about it... we might unlearn some staff

I’ve made a couple on it actually! I did one with fellow cosmetic formulator Esther Olu recently where alcohol was dicsussed, and another back in December talking specifically about alcohol’s purpose in skincare. The concern with alcohol is IF you’re sensitive to the ingredient that it can irritate the skin, but not everyone has sensitivity to it.
@@krystal3721 I have dry and very sensitive skin and that sunscreen has no alcohol in it so it does not irritate me at all! It is a little thicker because of that but the very subtle white cast disappears in seconds and my skin feels very hydrated ♥️
They have a clear and a white version, the white version leaves a horrible cast FYI. But I love the clear one, it's my holy grail sunscree. I have oily skin but it doesn't make me more oily and it applies so nicely.

The Keep Cool sunscreen! Lateef and I both love it and it features so many of the features of Purito people love, but honestly improved. And it’s made by a different manufacturing lab with different filters and formulation points! I have a whole review on it. Hada Labo and Skin Aqua that I mention here are also comparable to me.
I really liked the purito one in terms of texture but it made me so greasy so I've had to find others. My holy grail that applies just as nicely as the purito and doesn't leave me so greasy is the canmake mermaid skin gel, the CLEAR. They have a white version and it's horrible. My one gripe is that it's such a small tube, only 40 ml, but it's just so nice to apply and wears well.
What about fenty skin hydra vizor? Why isn't it on your best 2020 list? I'm planning on buying it from sephora when it arrives in Greece 27th of December.

It’s looks amazing on my skin (although it can make me look really shiny) but primarily because it’s expensive and it reaaaaally burns my eyes 😭

Hi! When it comes to sunscreens and I’m talking a mile a minute, yes. I say zinc instead of zinc oxide, which I shouldn’t since zinc in itself is actually used in formulation and has a lot of skin benefits but it’s nothing like zinc oxide
@ so they're different component then? I think I have heard that other than as uv filter, zinc oxide can also help acne condition, is that true, or is that because some people (including me) mistaken zinc and zinc oxide as if they're interchangeable?
@@xxuc7191 Zinc (pyrethione or PCA, like in serums) is different than Zinc Oxide (like in sunscreen). Zinc Oxide doesn't have the same acne treating, antibacterial, or sebum controlling qualities like Zinc PCA or Zinc Pyrithione.
Even as a white girl, I really appreciate this 😊. I have pale olive skin, so while not NEARLY as difficult for POC folks, sunscreen still often shows up on me :/
Just like the Klair's UV essence the Keep Cool Soothe Bamboo Sun Essence is manufactured in the same lab as the Purito sunscreen. I would not use it until they test it further.

It’s not actually not! NOWCOS manufactures Purito and Klairs, Green Cos manufactures Keep Cool. Different labs/manufacturers. Also, different filter system altogether with different formulation points. All come together to create a different sunscreen with different factors altogether

My favorites for this year were Biossance (dry skin saviour) and SuperGoop (will have to check out the Kroger brand).
