I’m a black woman with a deeper tone. And it’s so hard finding a lightweight sunscreen with good coverage. But I absolutely love the canmake clear one. Like you said it’s so breathable, lightweight and blends in so good with no white cast. I recommend to wait for 5-10 minutes to let it set cause it can look shiny at first but it sets really good after. And I have problematic skin (acne and oil combination)too and it doesn’t break me out
My top pick is the Isehan sunscreen! It really is the best for our sunny days here in Colombia (it's just warm all year 😐). It's so practical and light and I just love it. It goes out of stock so fast tho 😭😭😭 No white cast and so easy to re-apply! Thanks for this amazing video, can't wait for the next sunscreen upload. 🤞🏽
If sunscreen is something we all need to wear every day, why is the packaging always so small? I never understood that and it makes me sad from an environmental standpoint.
I've also complaint about the size and the prize of the packaging in my drugstore. The girl working there told me, she totally understands it but they have to keep it small since the protection of spf won't last long after opening the product. That's a good point as long as the beauty industry doesn't promote using spf on a daily basis... I hate using up my spf and i'm quick to empty it within one and a half month.. bc that means i have to pay again 20€ :(
After the purito sunscreen issue, I watched one of your older videos where you recommended the Verdio sunscreen and when I tell you I fell in love! I like it a lot better! I found out really quick it sells out quick so I stock up. One of the best sunscreens out there for sure imo.
Most sunscreens break me out or give me irritation. I picked up the Canmake Mermaid Skin Gel UV Clear sunscreen based on your recommendation in one of your previous videos and I love it! I’ve been using it for about a month now and my sensitive combination skin has not had any irritation or breakouts. I’m allergic to fragrances and this has not caused any issues. Thank you! 💙
It's because chemical sunscreen cause skin problems but mineral sunscreens are better for acne prone skin always choose mineral zinc oxide fragrance free sunscreen they won't cause irritation
I find the Anessa so water resistant that I use it as a top layer of protection for my hands on days where I know I'll be using a lot of hand sanitizer... I've noticed that it helps with my eczema. It really is expensive but it is worth it for me in the long run.
Exactly what I was looking for. I just got the Nivea to use on the body, and all the reviews I've found have been exclusively for face use. I do wish it were PA++++ but the texture sounds like exactly what I'm looking for, so I bet I'll end up getting better protection out of this over something with a grosser texture just because I won't mind reapplying.
Thank you for explaining the difference between the 2 types of Canmake UV sunscreen. It's been in my cart forever and I don't know which type to buy. :)
Totally agree! I personally absolutely love the Biore UV Athlizm Skin Protect Essence SPF 50+ PA++++. I believe it's the most waterproof, sweatproof SPF I've ever tried!
Lol! My wardrobe consists of a face, body and lips sunscreens. I also have an around the eyes sunscreen, an under mask sunscreen ( because my face one irritates me when it is trapped in moisture) and a forehead matte sunscreen 😅. I also use my body (and cheap) sunscreen on my neck and ears.
Hi Kelly, could do please do a video on how you re-apply sunscreen and what are your favorite products to do re-application? Also maybe you could share your thoughts on base makeup products with SPF, because I feel like I rub my sunscreen off whenever I apply makeup and sunscreen won’t give me enough protection... Love your videos and products recommendations, you really saved my sensitive and acne prone skin!💕💕💕
Kelly has a video about reapplying sunscreen over makeup. IIRC she uses a BB cushion, and pats the sunscreen in gently, so it doesn't disturb the base. Lab Muffin Beauty also has a video, where she demonstrates reapplication over a full face of makeup. Dr Dray recommends using SPF foundation and/ or powder, just so you are (partially) "replacing" any sunscreen you are buffing off with makeup application. Cezanne and Sana are two Japanese brands that offer powder compacts in SPF50. Handy for touchups too, if you are out and about.
For anyone interested in hard-core body sunscreens for the beach, I live on a hot Mediterranean island and swim a lot so I know my waterproof sunscreen and if you can get them at a good price, I believe that the Bioderma body sunscreens (especially the kid and family ones) are some of the best out there. They have very high UVB and UVA protection. I get them for ~10 euro so they are budget-friendly for me and I know that 2 of their spray sunscreens are good for seborrheic dermatitis.
sunscreen has turned into one of my favourite products!! My favourites are the Altruist face fluid, isntree watery sun gel and the anessa mild milk!!! I tried the bioderma photoderm spf but it stung my eyes soooo badly. I want to try the axis-y one but it always seems to be out of stock on yesstyle and stylevana in the UK :(

Feels amazing, sets nice, I had two co-workers ask what I'm using to make my face glow yesterday! I don't think I'll ever be able to back to just mineral sunscreens. Unfortunate, because I have a couple tubes of the Bliss mineral currently in transit haha.
Can't wait for my Instree sunscreen to arrive! I have tried the Canmake sunscreen, it's a very lovely sunscren, however when my skin is extra sensitive, it dries out my skin around my mouth, yet I would still give this another try when my skin barrier gets better!

I LOVE the Nivea one for your body! But like you said its becoming hard to find. I just ordered the Nivea UV Deep protect and care gel, fingers crossed its similar. I also found that the Skin Aqua Gold performs really well in all day sweat and water. For my face I'm using Skin Aqua Super Moisture Gel, has a decent amount of alcohol but my face tolerates it.

Same 😳 and the chemical sunscreens sting my eyes 😭
Thank you!
I havent been using sunscreen as of these past few days bc we’re on sudden lock down i cant go buy and deliveries are for the most part halted so like...im saving every once of sunscreen i still have left loll. My room is dark anw. I just apply on my hyperpigmentation part of my cheeks
Hey Kelly would you be able to talk about the new formula of the canmake, it’s not the same, it gives a little bit of a white cast now, and doesn’t give me the same moisture (I’m dry sensitive skin). I’m so bummed 🙁
Yes! ❤️
How long do you all keep your sunscreens for?
One question: Can I layer my sunscreen? Chemical underneath a physical? I'd want to have the most protection when, say, I'd go to the beach or jog outdoors.
Have you tried the skin aqua uv super moisture milk?
Hi, Kelly. Is Nivea suit for outdoor jogging?
