Just broke up with my Filipina fiancé after dating for almost a year, visiting her in the Philippines and right in the middle of our visa paperwork that I paid for. She’s 44, well educated, worked for a US based company and traveled all over Asia for work. She quit her job about two months ago without letting me know in advanced. Ever since then our discussions all became about money. I told her I’ve already paid for everything so far and I’m not sending her money for her bills and entire family, 3 girls (2 in college, 1 in elementary school) plus extended family. Over the last couple weeks she continually brought up money and how her friends and family don’t understand why I haven’t sent her money. Two days ago I told her one last time that we’ve discussed the money situation enough and I wouldn’t be discussing it again. She got very nasty and broke up with. Honestly it was a relief. Talking to her was becoming a major source of stress and I don’t miss her at all. And unfortunately it has burned me out on wanting to be with any Filipina. I know they’re not all like this but it is what it is.

An advise to western men who are looking for Filipinas. If you are still young with no retirement benefits, when you meet a Filipina, ask her what works did she ever do? If she said she worked as a salesperson, housemaid, worked in the farm, had a little sari-sari store, raised pigs or goats at home, know that this girl will be able to earn money for both of you and her family but if she said I have never worked in my life because I was just a high school graduate and there was no work opportunity then know that she is waiting for you to support her and her family....

Yeah this is really a good reminder to all foreigners who are dating filipina, some are fortunate but some unfortunate so be careful guys. So for those who are planning yet take time to know the woman"s background before you marry her.

I had a friend in Dipolog area, I occasionally sent small amount of money because she said mother was sick, then another time father needed antibiotics for their chickens which can be believable, daughter needed school books which was all fine. But then she had kidney problems & bills too but as I inquired more for medical details she did the same change the subject every time. I looked via a friends Facebook account & noticed she was like the boy too, healthy and having fun spending my money for herself not daughter, mother or father 😳 So I caught her out & told her she wasn’t getting anymore money gifts from me. I have recently seen she has a new Facebook account showing her wearing Louis V clothing & looking like a rich Filipino so I guess she is scamming someone else to give her much more money 😢

I stayed in the Philippines for an extended time with my asawa , this Filipina came up to us on the street one day crying hysterically saying her husband beat her up and needed money to get home to her parents . We gave her money for her fare home. We felt bad for her. But two weeks later , we encountered her again , she must of had a short memory , she cried the same story , but my wife and I remembered her. We didn’t fall for it a second time. I just got the feeling she would see a foreigner thinking we all have deep pockets , and would try to scam any foreigner she seen on the streets. I understand there is prominent poverty in the Philippines, and other parts in the world including here in the states ,just be aware before you react to such a situation.

I am a single 70 year old man... about 27 months ago I met a 28 year old Filipina online. Since that time I have sent her over $75,000 for living, medical expenses, transportation expenses and employment search expenses.. I basically supported her....I finally cut her off as this was getting too much money for me and she got evicted from her home and is now homeless but I feel great guilt and remorse... how do I overcome this guilt? We never personally met but have done FaceTime and I did get receipts and do not believe she is a scammer ... she had an issue of one problem after another where she needs to be " rescued" and I don't want to rescue her anymore...
Sounds like scam to me, its not a big problem to get receipts. For $75k I would live with my familly here for about 60-70 years. We're spending about 60k php / month on four of us including rent and all expenses.
if you want the honest truth, you are 70. at this stage in your life, anyone below the age of 60 will only date you for money and nothing else. in her case it seems to me shes not mentally grown. a lot like my first ex, no matter how you help or guide them they step right into the next problem again. sometimes you have to cut ties for the good of both.
Stop sending her or any other girl money. Yes, she is obviously a scammer and your reaction is normal but you need to understand that you have been abuse and it is not your fault but stop digging deeper into your grave. Since you retired, you can travel there instead of online meeting but if you get there, don't throw away your money like it's nothing it will make people greedy and it will corrupt all your relations. this is very good to know and to let others know. I was once in the same situation but he wasn't my son but I still cared for him and because I was overseas she kept asking me for money for dental bills, hospital bills etc and I started getting a bad feeling about her. I then asked the same thing like receipts to see what the issue was. When she wouldn't show I told her right away that I just wanted to be friends and she was very angry but I seen the red flags and cut off contact right away. Later on I found out that she was chatting with other guys while we were together. So I was very happy that I dodged a bullet. I took a little loss but I was fine with that because I've heard of other foriegners losing everything. It's a pity because they spoil it for the real ones that are honest. Great story. It's crazy what lengths some people will go to and it will destroy relationships. When I go to the Philippines I won't have to work so I'm going to outline my response to any potential scams with any potential partner. Lost or damaged phone is another one as well as a family member in hospital. I will be visiting the hospital in person if I have to pay any bills.

Many people in the Philippines are good singers, but also good actors. They can make you believe that you are the only one, while having another lover at the same time. Take your time to really know someone before you get married.
She's right. Filipinas will have Plans B, C, D, and E. In many cases, she will have a bf or gf there without you even knowing despite you connecting with her 3X a day. And, don't get caught up sending all your money to a Filipina. If she's legit, she won't ask for it or guilt you into giving it.

I had my share of crazy filipina during 2018-2019 when I met this singer with long braided hair in Phuket, Thailand. At first she seemed like a dream come true and I quickly fell in love with her & took her traveling with me around South-East Asia. Worst decision I have ever made.. Within few weeks she went from angel to violent psychopath and made my three month trip a complete nightmare. The trip was supposed to relieve my work stress that had been building up for years but I finished it with far worse stress than I had in the beginning and later that became a big reason for why I got fired from my job. Somehow she still managed to keep me in the relationship after the trip by begging for forgiveness and telling that she wasn't herself at all during the trip and she had learned her lesson and changed. I was dumb enough to believe her and even supported her money wise only to find out later that she had been lying to me all the time about pretty much everything. Most of the time she wasn't even in the same countries she claimed to be and of course she was also cheating me. So I broke up with her for awhile, but few months later she again somehow managed to convince me to try one more time as she swore she had changed and moved back to her home island Bohol, Philippines. She invited me there to meet her son and family and once again I booked a flight and traveled to Bohol for a month only to find out that while her son and family were all very nice and kind towards me, she hadn't changed a bit. She was still the same lying, cheating, violent narcissistic psychopath I had been involved with for the past 2 years. So I packed my bags after a month and broke up with her. This year I found out that she had given birth to a girl 8 months after I left the island and it isn't mine (Almost impossible for me without quitting my medication), so she was cheating me even while I was there (explains many things that seemed weird during the trip). But anyways, I know not all the filipinas are like her - I just had bad luck. 😏

Expressing sympathy towards your situation is not going to happen, you need to learn from this and recognize how to prevent it from happening again. The average IQ in the Philippines is 75 and it looks like you found one. Look for signs of intelligent women, don’t pick one that looks like a model or is high maintenance. When she asks for something right off, that means she’s experienced in how to squeeze western men dry of their money.

I haven’t even been to the Philippines yet but I have met a group of scammers in Cebu. They have managed to go out and find popular RUclipsrs to get their viewers and then they feed the viewers a bunch of sad “stories” so they can get money from them. I did get to know them quite well and when I mention I won’t send money there it went downhill really fast. I wish there was a way I could Expose them for doing what they’re doing. That's what they always do it's usually tell you that someone they know or love is in the hospital or they say something is wrong my motorcycle broke or I can't pay my electric bill or food or it's always something that happens to cost money. If I help someone usually I stick with helping with food and even that can be a problem too but I have been to the Philippines 26 times so I still don't know everything about what goes on there but I am familiar with the way they live too. Make them so receipts. One person told me her mother was in the hospital and they won't release her unless she has the money then the showed me a tic Tok video of someone with a IV hooked up to them but no face in the video and just remember even if they showed you a picture of their dead uncle laying on the beach like one person did to me doesn't mean it's their dead uncle or grandfather in the hospital bed but not only but I can't afford to pay everyone's healthcare and I can't afford even one persons healthcare either. Be careful
I had a friend that was scammed by a man claiming to be an airline pilot. He wined and dined her, acted like he was really into her. She married him after a few months and he took all the money from her bank account. Come to find out he had other women he had done that to as well. We have a problem in the U.S. with men going after widows. Sad.
Scams can be from Filipino as well, I had a family member use me for years. He would not find employment, I did everything I could, purchased fishing boat, construction tools, tricycle with a franchise.... I finally gave up and sent him away.

I have a friend from Spanish Harlem that I've known for several years,just a friend. She messaged me and said she was run over by an ambulance and police car and is paralyzed. I told her she will be just fine. Never send money for faulty emergencies. A friend of mines daughter got sick and needed medical care. I paid for it because I was in the emergency room overnight with them in Manila Some emergencies are sincere.

Thanks, guys , a refreshing video. My story (Ldr) is and was always eyes wide open, but nevertheless, when the end day arrives without due respect, integrity, and honesty, it is terribly sad. You lose someone you admired, encouraged and respected and loved , and you lose family as well. That's the heart wrench, it's not the change it's the method. Nobody's perfect. We all make mistakes, say things a little thoughtlessly at times, and sometimes, life circumstances just work against you. I miss my love and little family terribly, but I can only hope their future is good. Philippines women need to understand that respect and gracious are real and that they need to be the same to a foreign person. Personal responsibility and accountability (being a good human being) is something to be admired. Saving face is refusing to grow up, and inflicts more pain on others.

Yet, he still loves her. John was his own worst enemy, letting it happen to him. Hopefully, one day, he can get on with his life and learn from his mistake.

I can agree. Some of the Filipinas but not all are like that. They will just wait for your money and support also the family.

I had a friend in Dipolog area, I occasionally sent small amount of money because she said mother was sick, then another time father needed antibiotics for their chickens which can be believable, daughter needed school books which was all fine. But then she had kidney problems & bills too but as I inquired more for medical details she did the same change the subject every time. I looked via a friends Facebook account & noticed she was like the boy too, healthy and having fun spending my money for herself not daughter, mother or father 😳 So I caught her out & told her she wasn’t getting anymore money gifts from me. I have recently seen she has a new Facebook account showing her wearing Louis V clothing & looking like a rich Filipino so I guess she is scamming someone else to give her much more money 😢
Sounds terrible 😂 You should be happy that you're not in her witchcraft anymore. Just move on. And enjoy your life without stress with the scammer

I stayed in the Philippines for an extended time with my asawa , this Filipina came up to us on the street one day crying hysterically saying her husband beat her up and needed money to get home to her parents . We gave her money for her fare home. We felt bad for her. But two weeks later , we encountered her again , she must of had a short memory , she cried the same story , but my wife and I remembered her. We didn’t fall for it a second time. I just got the feeling she would see a foreigner thinking we all have deep pockets , and would try to scam any foreigner she seen on the streets. I understand there is prominent poverty in the Philippines, and other parts in the world including here in the states ,just be aware before you react to such a situation.

I am a single 70 year old man... about 27 months ago I met a 28 year old Filipina online. Since that time I have sent her over $75,000 for living, medical expenses, transportation expenses and employment search expenses.. I basically supported her....I finally cut her off as this was getting too much money for me and she got evicted from her home and is now homeless but I feel great guilt and remorse... how do I overcome this guilt? We never personally met but have done FaceTime and I did get receipts and do not believe she is a scammer ... she had an issue of one problem after another where she needs to be " rescued" and I don't want to rescue her anymore...
Sounds like scam to me, its not a big problem to get receipts. For $75k I would live with my familly here for about 60-70 years. We're spending about 60k php / month on four of us including rent and all expenses.
if you want the honest truth, you are 70. at this stage in your life, anyone below the age of 60 will only date you for money and nothing else. in her case it seems to me shes not mentally grown. a lot like my first ex, no matter how you help or guide them they step right into the next problem again. sometimes you have to cut ties for the good of both.
Stop sending her or any other girl money. Yes, she is obviously a scammer and your reaction is normal but you need to understand that you have been abuse and it is not your fault but stop digging deeper into your grave. Since you retired, you can travel there instead of online meeting but if you get there, don't throw away your money like it's nothing it will make people greedy and it will corrupt all your relations. Be kind but don't be nice.

this is very good to know and to let others know. I was once in the same situation but he wasn't my son but I still cared for him and because I was overseas she kept asking me for money for dental bills, hospital bills etc and I started getting a bad feeling about her. I then asked the same thing like receipts to see what the issue was. When she wouldn't show I told her right away that I just wanted to be friends and she was very angry but I seen the red flags and cut off contact right away. Later on I found out that she was chatting with other guys while we were together. So I was very happy that I dodged a bullet. I took a little loss but I was fine with that because I've heard of other foriegners losing everything. It's a pity because they spoil it for the real ones that are honest.

You are a walking dollar sign to them and they will take advantage of you specially if they know that you are a nice people. Just be cautious and aware. It feels good to help but sad if you find out that you are being taking advantage of. This kind of same situation happened to me before. Trying to save someone's life.

Great story. It's crazy what lengths some people will go to and it will destroy relationships. When I go to the Philippines I won't have to work so I'm going to outline my response to any potential scams with any potential partner. Lost or damaged phone is another one as well as a family member in hospital. I will be visiting the hospital in person if I have to pay any bills.

You both are a lovely couple, I had a girl for nearly 4 yrs, spent about 4 million on rent, water, electricity, internet, gas, food, full house of furniture including a stove, air conditioner, microwave, fridge, hospital, dental, sari store, xmas ect ect .... But found out the 4th year she was living with another guy, she had another Facebook page and was told about this, I lost everything and did not see one peso back even told her to sell the furniture to survive with her kids, thought she was the one but i lost and now single again, but now it is time to just live life and be happy

She's right. Filipinas will have Plans B, C, D, and E. In many cases, she will have a bf or gf there without you even knowing despite you connecting with her 3X a day. And, don't get caught up sending all your money to a Filipina. If she's legit, she won't ask for it or guilt you into giving it.

I had my share of crazy filipina during 2018-2019 when I met this singer with long braided hair in Phuket, Thailand. At first she seemed like a dream come true and I quickly fell in love with her & took her traveling with me around South-East Asia. Worst decision I have ever made.. Within few weeks she went from angel to violent psychopath and made my three month trip a complete nightmare. The trip was supposed to relieve my work stress that had been building up for years but I finished it with far worse stress than I had in the beginning and later that became a big reason for why I got fired from my job. Somehow she still managed to keep me in the relationship after the trip by begging for forgiveness and telling that she wasn't herself at all during the trip and she had learned her lesson and changed. I was dumb enough to believe her and even supported her money wise only to find out later that she had been lying to me all the time about pretty much everything. Most of the time she wasn't even in the same countries she claimed to be and of course she was also cheating me. So I broke up with her for awhile, but few months later she again somehow managed to convince me to try one more time as she swore she had changed and moved back to her home island Bohol, Philippines. She invited me there to meet her son and family and once again I booked a flight and traveled to Bohol for a month only to find out that while her son and family were all very nice and kind towards me, she hadn't changed a bit. She was still the same lying, cheating, violent narcissistic psychopath I had been involved with for the past 2 years. So I packed my bags after a month and broke up with her. This year I found out that she had given birth to a girl 8 months after I left the island and it isn't mine (Almost impossible for me without quitting my medication), so she was cheating me even while I was there (explains many things that seemed weird during the trip). But anyways, I know not all the filipinas are like her - I just had bad luck. 😏
Oh, they love saying " I've learned my lesson and changed my ways"". Lol and then do the same crazy stuff 5 minutes later. Lol

Out of a million single Filipinas you chose a single mom that’s batshit crazy? But not once or twice but 3 times?? Expressing sympathy towards your situation is not going to happen, you need to learn from this and recognize how to prevent it from happening again. The average IQ in the Philippines is 75 and it looks like you found one. Look for signs of intelligent women, don’t pick one that looks like a model or is high maintenance. When she asks for something right off, that means she’s experienced in how to squeeze western men dry of their money.

I haven’t even been to the Philippines yet but I have met a group of scammers in Cebu. They have managed to go out and find popular RUclipsrs to get their viewers and then they feed the viewers a bunch of sad “stories” so they can get money from them. I did get to know them quite well and when I mention I won’t send money there it went downhill really fast. I wish there was a way I could Expose them for doing what they’re doing.

That's what they always do it's usually tell you that someone they know or love is in the hospital or they say something is wrong my motorcycle broke or I can't pay my electric bill or food or it's always something that happens to cost money. If I help someone usually I stick with helping with food and even that can be a problem too but I have been to the Philippines 26 times so I still don't know everything about what goes on there but I am familiar with the way they live too. Make them so receipts. One person told me her mother was in the hospital and they won't release her unless she has the money then the showed me a tic Tok video of someone with a IV hooked up to them but no face in the video and just remember even if they showed you a picture of their dead uncle laying on the beach like one person did to me doesn't mean it's their dead uncle or grandfather in the hospital bed but not only but I can't afford to pay everyone's healthcare and I can't afford even one persons healthcare either. Be careful

I had a friend that was scammed by a man claiming to be an airline pilot. He wined and dined her, acted like he was really into her. She married him after a few months and he took all the money from her bank account. Come to find out he had other women he had done that to as well. We have a problem in the U.S. with men going after widows. Sad.
It happend worldwide, just different more sophisticated scams on the west

Scams can be from Filipino as well, I had a family member use me for years. He would not find employment, I did everything I could, purchased fishing boat, construction tools, tricycle with a franchise.... I finally gave up and sent him away.

I have a friend from Spanish Harlem that I've known for several years,just a friend. She messaged me and said she was run over by an ambulance and police car and is paralyzed. I told her she will be just fine. Never send money for faulty emergencies. A friend of mines daughter got sick and needed medical care. I paid for it because I was in the emergency room overnight with them in Manila Some emergencies are sincere.
It's not bad to help ask for help. But if they cheat and abuse. Stay away from that kind of people

Thanks, guys , a refreshing video. My story (Ldr) is and was always eyes wide open, but nevertheless, when the end day arrives without due respect, integrity, and honesty, it is terribly sad. You lose someone you admired, encouraged and respected and loved , and you lose family as well. That's the heart wrench, it's not the change it's the method. Nobody's perfect. We all make mistakes, say things a little thoughtlessly at times, and sometimes, life circumstances just work against you. I miss my love and little family terribly, but I can only hope their future is good. Philippines women need to understand that respect and gracious are real and that they need to be the same to a foreign person. Personal responsibility and accountability (being a good human being) is something to be admired. Saving face is refusing to grow up, and inflicts more pain on others.
That's sad. But always remember it's not end of your life. Always remember there us still hope. At least you learned that you have to be wise choosing a woman. We wish you all the best.

I don't think you can deal directly with the hospital since she brought the kid she gets the bill.
