Hello everyone. I have a bit of experience on this topic.I talked to 2 or 3 scammers before I met the right one. A big indication of a scammer is a person who will give you all the excuses in the world not to video call. They will talk to you blindly and NEVER offer or suggest to see each other. The most serious women are talked asked to videocall immediately after the first phone conversation or text messages if the exchange is pleasant. Like she said in the video, a conversation with the scammer will slowly or quickly involve money. Sad stories ( my rent is due, I'm getting kicked out, I don't have enough to pay for school, I'm an orphan.....) are a big sign that you're dealing with a scammer. Whether the stories are true or not, stay away and block them IMMEDIATELY. Another sign is a person who is not consistent. Promise to call and doesn't, promise to send you photos and doesn't, is always logged in on the dating site even when she's talking to you or after talking to you... she's probably talking to multiple people... You have the feeling something is off... Another sign is a person who abruptly wants to end a phone conversation and tells you to pay for her phone credit... Just use common sense and get feel of the person. Typically your intuitions are right about people. A true person will really get to know you and ask you questions about you. You will know very quickly what's real and what's fake
Great video! I especially like your stand on the moral issues. ❤ I have begun to notice many Filipina vloggers making content that is revealing and that ultimately will attract the wrong kind of expats to the Phillipines... I understand they are doing it for views, but if this continues to happen, it will eventually corrupt the strong moral values that make the Philippines so attractive in the first place. Is growing ones channel so important that they are willing to risk the moral integrity of the place they call home? God forbid that the morally bankrupt values of the US and other Western cultures would possibly one day be the decay of your beautiful country! 😢😢😢
In a perfect world, the nice honest people would find each other and form relationships and the scammers and dishonest would find each other, and destroy each other...ha ha
Looks like you never been scammed by online scam girls or fake profiles before to talk about decent people and bad people It’s okey you’ll taste the same words you written Trust me you will scammed sooner or later
Never send money to one’s you haven’t met in person. She lived without your money and she can live forever without your money. With video chatting, the other sign is if she can’t hold a conversation or fakes bad cellular or Wi-Fi connection.
These signs are very true.. just take your time getting to know someone. A man is supposed to provide for his woman, but he also needs to ensure she is the right woman. Too many men are blinded by beauty and sex.. that's why they become victims
Im currently in a relationship with a Filipina. I also can give a little more insight on this subject. Especially for 1st timers. Yeah all these things mentioned are indicators that something is not right. Absolutely the money subject is the #1 warning sign. It's kinda yeah and no when it comes to not being able to video call. It just really depends on where they are living because poor data reception. Now if you happen to be on video call with them and you can clearly see that they seem to be occupied like they're reading something or messageing something then yeah that's definitely a warning sign they are communicating with others. Another excuse that a lot of Filipina girls like to make is "the gay cousin" When they get asked about a male who someone happens to see on video call or are in a lot of pictures with her. Won't refer to you by your real name but instead has a special name for you.
Someone I talked to claimed she was using a public computer and that she was running out of coins. This happened twice but she didn't ask me for money. However, I've been to the Philippines many times and as far as I know The "public computers" (internet cafs?) over there d not require coins specifically. Does anyone know if this "public computer" and "out of coins" talk is common among romance scammers? I got suspicious and asked her straight out if she wanted me to send her money so that we could speak more easily. She didn't clearly accept my offer, but she didn't clearly refuse it either. She said it made her shy. Another red flag is that when she said she were out of coins, her profile still showed an online status. Also, she was still chatting to me even though it was passed midnight (like 2 AM, on December 26).
I am not familiar with the use of coins as I'm a bit older haha. Back in the day, internet cafes are per hour. It seems like she isn't asking but giving you hints. That's basically the same thing. I wouldn't offer to pay for anything. If she's still online at 2AM in the Philippines, then she might be talking to multiple people. If things feel off, then it most likely is. Thanks for the comment.
I’m not sure with my Filipina girlfriend met her family 30 days with them went to her sisters wedding she does ask me for money for things only after I buy her something I’ve told her she does that then she stoped asking but hints for me to pay for her hair cut. Wants marriage is I was living with her I would buy things as a husband but thinking of cutting giving her gifts until she comes her what do you think ?
what if my ex Filipina gf said I love you after 3 days? she said she wasn't after my money???...she also never wanted me to meet her parents even on video call, we were LDR, she said it was because they didn't speak english, i feel like i was being lied to, i'm not with her anymore, she also went away on a trip with her family, and she never once answered a message or a phone call and she told me that it was because she forgot, it never happened previously and she never forgot to message usually... did i dodge a bullet?...
Hi, I have a question I meet this Philippines woman on line we were talking and she have a relationship with a Philippino guy in other words she is married but she told me that he abuse her hitting her I saw bruses, something I wanted to chat but she said like don't chat he is around, and Also they have a kid and he doesn't care about his own son his son tell his mom that he was cheating on her,I let her know that I'm not going to keep chatting with her because of the situation and she star crying saying don't leave me I love you you are the only one that make me happy...so what can I do she told she was going to left him soon because of the abuse.
i feel you man, my ex said they have gone through the same sort of thing, using the same words... i'm still not 100% either, i am not with her currently...
Chatting to a lady at the moment ? She agrees to meet and we had Video calls ? But she ask for £400 to pay a passport to come to the UK and for other stuff ? She told me her family is not poor but not rich either ? She also sent videos at a school where she works as a teacher ? She did say sorry for asking for the money and won't ask again ? Is this a red flag? Another thing when on WhatsApp she claims to be going to sleep but she still online a few hrs later and also checking to see if I'm online as it shows last seen a few hrs after we said goodnight . Would love any advice please. Thank you
Hi there! Thanks for the question. Here's what I think. If she's a teacher, she should be able to afford a Philippine passport. It doesn't cost that much. Now if it's for the UK tourist visa (I'm not sure what that process looks like), but I assume it is similar to the U.S. It's probably going to be very difficult for her to get approved. It would be better if you visit her instead. The last part of your question, that is a RED Flag indeed!
I don't think there's any way to know 100%. I've even seen/heard of foreigners being scammed that are living here. Feet on the ground still certainly helps. I was lucky, in that my home city in Australia shares the same timezone as the Philippines. This meant I was around (home) the same time as my now wife. We decided early on to be in a call during most of our spare time (my time not at work). We also got to know each others families while still online. Also you get a good/bad feeling depending on if she starts to ask for financial support and the reasoning behind it. It's a topic you could make many videos about (and probably will). The more you learn though, the easier it is to spot the obvious scams and then the rest is a combination of being smart and pure luck.
you need to elaborate.. You cannot just throw statements like this without any explanation, unless your intention is solely to badmouth another culture. By the way, all countries have toxicity in them... so yeah spill it.

Yes, that is very helpful. I plan to visit the Philippines in the first week of January 2025.
Hopefully you'll be able to enjoy your trip and stay safe!
The meeting in person plan is another way to weed out scammers.
Also worth mentioning is that there are now Chinese call center type operations in the Philippines now that specifically prey upon men.
Yes, I saw that on the news. Some of these places got raided, but I'm sure plenty are still operational.
