My wife and I met online in Yahoo chat April 2001. By the following Sept I made my 1st trip to see her in person. I was in the Philippines 3 weeks and actually 3 times in the span of 9 months. In Sept 2001 we were in Baguio when 9-11 happened. The bank wouldn't take my Traveler's Cheques so fortunately the ATM was our next option. I ended up taking the $5000.00 Traveler's Cheques back where I bought tham at my bank. She got to the states Aug 2002 and we have a beautiful daughter that today is 21 and just finished 2nd yr college at UPLB. All 4 semesters she made President's List of Scholars. My experience was quite bad, yes, but I can't wait to come back and do things better. I don't know of anyone so successful as you, that didn't pass on one or some bad apples at first.

It is very sweet to watch your small lovers' fight, always teasing one another. My wife is from the Philippines with big extended family. Eventually we will build a home there. We bought a lot in Bulacan. SO lately I have been watching videos from there to learn. I can't stand a lot of other couples, usually some old, grey, overweight, non attractive, caucasian with some tiny little ladies 40 years younger. They always talk about "SCAMS" or being scammed. What do they think? They have different expectations out of the relationship and I suspect LOVE is not one of them.

That is so true, if a woman can leave her kid for some man then I am pretty sure she can leave a you for money. A good woman will always prioritize her children and will love you more and be very faithful if you love her kids. She will work hard for your whole family.

Bear in mind the only TOP priority in her life is her children. Foreigner must accept this. Do not expect to have any priority. But the foreigner has the top priority when comes to paying for anything. Some foreign grandpa working at 70 to support her 3 kids and grandkids.

If a foreigner gets scammed by a filipina it`s themselves to blame not all filipinas are scammers there`s a lot who just want to be loved and happiness obviously you need money to live but it`s happiness that`s more important and you both look like a happy couple with a beautiful family your wife is a Diamond with a beautiful heart i wish you both all the happiness in the world and a healthy life .

@@IslaPamilya Absolutely,and my advice to all filipinas is tell the truth no need to scam a foreigner if he loves you he`ll treat you like a princess, but yes i agree the trust is a major issue it`s the nasty filipina`s that give all filipinas worldwide a bad reputation as scammers .Lots of filipinas are single mothers with no husband and need income so their best option is to meet a foreigner you have to ask yourself is there Genuine love there or is it just to raise the child for them ? this is were the trust kicks in, your husband is lucky to have met a woman like yourself not all foreigners are so lucky. I was very impressed when Maricar said that if we were to live together she would not leave her son with her family like many women here and Calix would live with us. I knew then that she was a wise and good mother who had the right priorities in life.

Hi You have such a great story of how you both met. I tried a dating site and was scammed out of 23,000 usd so I learned the hard way. So then I was on a different web site and met a Filipina in Las Vegs in the US where I was from. After months of chatting I flew 1500 miles so we could meet each other, she had 3 little boys ages 5,3 and 11/2 years old when her husband had passed. My wife had passed also at the same time within 2 weeks of her husbands passing. I had already had 2 grown sons after about 6 months we decided to get married and raise her 3 sons together. We were happily married for 20 yrs and 2 years ago I lost her to breast cancer. Sorry this is such a long comment but you both remind me so much of how my wife and I was. Thank you for telling your story you just don't know how you brought back such happy memories for me! I miss her everyday!!

Youy guys story is very similar to us. We met in June 2010 on a video dating site and things worked out really well considering we were thousands of kms away. So arrived in Cebu in Oct 2010 and we didnt muck around so we got married and very happy to say 12 years on still married and still best friends. Trying now to move from New Zealand back to Cebu to start another chapter in our life.🥰
