I can see the simplicity of you both. And,humble to accept every blessings in life.God bless you both and Family. I like everytime most when Maricar reacts.
Great video...very motivational. You guys have great on camera presence...real personality...natural interaction and sense of humor. Looking forward to watching more of your videos.
I get happy watching your content. You have a beautiful family my friend. Anton always having fun in the water. I'll have to link up with you for a dive.
Nice to see just a normal guy who works while living abroad and has a plan. I want to move to Indochina and work as an English teacher. I quit my job and am getting my Bachelors Degree and then in 1 year when I graduate, I can move to Cambodia and start the next chapter of my life!
Hi Matt. I loved to hear your story how it all began from your first trip to Philippines and eventually moved there. I'm 58 and I'm originally born in Serbia but moved to Sweden when I was 3 years old with family and last 20 years I lived in Oslo in Norway. Now since 2 1/2 months I'm in Cebu right now and in Philippines to stay here since I loved it very much since I was here first time 2012 and then visited 8 times prepandemic. Keep up your good work and hope your income will increase for both of you. I'm not yet retired but I had enough of work and want to enjoy my life in philippines which I'm doing now. I don't have to do any work online at all since I want simple life. Eventually I will be visiting Siguijor for sure since it's not far from Cebu.
Hi Isla, I was wondering have prices stayed as they were when you made this video one year ago..i plan to come to the Philippines in the coming months and want to rent a place near the beach..ideally..is $250 a month or less with bills included realistic?
Great channel. I’m planning my trip to the Philippines for late next year. Watching all your old videos. Great couple ! Got to show respect to the Polish! I’m from the UK! Stay safe!
As someone from America who has been married to a Filipina for 27 years. I have been to the Philippines so many times over the years. One important thing I think to keep in mind is you will have to learn how to SLOW DOWN your pace of life. We have property in Siaton Negros Oriental and we are actually here, but will be leaving soon. I am so use to being able to just run to the store and get what I need, but here it is not that easy. Dumaguete is 1 hour drive from where we are located. Also the hospitals usually deal in CASH only and you have to pay before they let you leave. We had to help a family member on this trip and we have to get the money so they will release them. So make sure to have a cash fund for emergencies if you plan to live here long term.
Thanks for your very pertinent comments, it is exactly as you write. With the pace of life I do not have a problem but other situations are sometimes strongly annoying and many people can not live here.
Im 26 years old i live on my own i want to go to the Philippines but my parents and family apose and tell me that i need to work hard and think of buying a house materialistic things ect. But that stuff does not make me happy living a simple life like you guys is the life i want and going to the Philippines would make me very very happy
That will be depends on you. You're living for yourself not for them. Do what you think will make you happy. You don't have to follow other. You have your own mind. And you are in enough age to make decisions. Good luck with your decision. All the best for you!
I don't know in which country you live. But you should consider that Philippines is still a poor country where many things are not as developed as in Western countries like health care system or drinking water from water tape. Maybe you should live in Philippines for some time to get to know daily life there. Last but not least you need to earn money for your livelihood. However, to work there or to start a business you need a work permit from the Philippines authorities. Instead of moving to Philippines at young age another option might be to spend your vacation there, find a nice Filipina, live with her in your home country and move to Philippines with her after you will have retired.
I remember the first time I went to the Philippines, it was Manila and extremely busy so I decided to go to Cebu the second time. I much preferred it in Cebu visiting the beaches and islands and a lot quieter. I plan on moving there in a couple of years.
Both of my trips were to Laguna. I stayed in Alabang and Las Pinas, but I was unhappy in Laguna. I should probably try a different area and see if it is nicer someplace else in the Philippines.
I always enjoy your videos last time I was in Philippines 2017 didn’t do much traveling but plan on coming for few months December and January and plan on visiting your island and maybe meet up for coffee or lunch .
I continue to enjoy your work. I'm always impressed with the breadth of your English vocabulary since it's a second language for both of you. Further, Maricar seems to have a working knowledge of Polish (although I can't judge since I only know a few words of it myself). Maybe you could both talk about the different languages you can "get by" in and how you learned them all.
Thanks for the good word! My English has improved a lot since I've lived here, even in vlogs from a year ago I think You can see the difference. For Maricar and many Filipinos, it's simply a second language they've been learning since elementary school. I wish she would learn a little more Polish, maybe in time, she will.
I just found your channel and been watching you and your family and life you have now. Was wondering how you made a living. My first trip to Phillipines was 1975 in the US military and my first trip to dumaguete was in 1993 with my philapina wife. We are no longer togeather but my last of 8 trips I would go and visit and stay with her family which we were and alway stayed very close. My last trip was in 2014 before youtube and not many expats were going and there. I allways stayed in the province about a one hour ride from the airport with them on a 3 month visa and keeped things simple like you. The house was a block off the beach and I called it decompressing from every thing I keep things simple and it was so very relaxing no expats, no phones I would just go to local internet place once a week to check messages and spend my time driving around on my scooter seeing the area and meeting great local people every day. Its nice to see someone keep things so simple even if you dont have to. You have a great family and I wish the best to the three of you. 😊
Thank you for sharing 😉 We are actually 4. My first son is with his father at the moment. He will be back after the school year. Thank you kindly for your kind words 🙏
Really Love your channel .... My wife is from Bohol we are finally able to come back from the USA for a visit end of Nov till mid Jan ... we plan to move to the Philippines next year ... can't wait ..I have been there 3 times and just love the people and food and the stress free life you can find there ... Hopefully we can visit Siquijor... I will let you know if we do ... you are a very cool couple and would be honored to meet ya'll.... God bless Tex & Anna
Best of luck to you both...Im Irish and living in thailand...my partner and child are philippino(batangas}..trying our best to escape thailand for the philippines..inspirational words there mat..miss the beach..Ian
I just saw your post as I was flicking through the comments, i'm Irish too so it flagged my attention..any tips on best time of season to visit Philippines..was thinking around March this year but a bit concerned about the heat at that time of year?
You are among the luckiest people on earth. Live a happy and simple life with your kids and a lovely young wife. Sequijor is not far from Cebu City so you can spend your weekend there and enjoy the bustling Queen City of the South. I’m from Camiguin but now living in the USA. God bless you and your family.
Hey guys!! It was fun to hear about Matt's choice to move there.😃 I'm so glad he did! You guys are awesome and I really love those videos. Siquijor is right up my alley. Lots of love from Destin Florida U.S.A ❤🧡💛💚💙💜🤍🌺🏝🌞
I had nothing to lose except money and good contact with my son in poland. Money once is there once is not, but as long as there is health there is always money to be made.
Hi Matt hi maganda Maricar. Just want to say your videos are such a joy to watch no matter how stress or crazy my days been u 2 lift my spirits thank u both. I'm going to Philippines later this year to get married and often would love to live there full time but I'm not near retirement age yet and my wife to be says living in Philippines is to expensive life would be no good. But u 2 look so happy and I'm always wondering how do u make it work like what do u do for income. Enjoy life u 2
Hi Marcus! Thank you for the comment. We are just accepting what we have on the table, we always have the word ''CONTENTED''. Because if you always want something which you can't afford, then that would be a problem. And contentment is important in a relationship. And always appreciate what you have, and be thankful. And about income, Matt has an online job in Poland. Thank you for watching.
Hello Isla familia, u guys so cool 😎 we enjoyed watching u guys just talking normal funny sometimes when we listen conversations u guys. Keep it up guys when we get there, we wouldn't mine meeting u guys have a frosty 1 🍻
Well done Matt 👍 that’s how it works and perfect you found what you love 👍 I was living 2,5 years on Siquijor and I had to leave because I couldn’t manage the stupid things from my point of view and the constant noise (rooster, karaoke 🙉) BUT if someone is more relaxed to these 🙈 things and don’t like it quiet - then it works very good and Siquior is super great place 👍. Did you open company and what are the income taxes you face - if 😉
Thanks ! I think there are pleaces without roosters and karaoke, probably hard to find but worth to try 😆 We have a neighbour rooster on the tree next to our house and yes sometimies he wakes me up 5am 🐓 No busines on Philippines so far, my buddy who lives here over 12 years told me: If You have possibility to have income abroad hold it strong and don't make anything here You will be more healthy 😆
Thanks for the video guys 🌞 I would also like to see a video with just a normal day, from morning to evening, what your normal days are like. I will be coming over again to siquijor in October! Can’t wait to be there again, maybe I will meet the famous Filipina/Polish couple 😁.
yeah ...freedom in PH.... till 2020 :) the most problematic thing is INCOME. If too young for a pension -the only choice is call centre agent (low number of jobs for foreigners) or work online (not available to 80% people) / trade crypto like Tim K or... have a channel like Damian as ask viewers for donations :)
@@IslaPamilya I used to live and work in Poland, many years ago in a small city called Radom +/- 100 KM from Warsaw. Very quiet but nice small city and in the weekends to Warsaw for parties, we had a good time and indeed good food!! Krakow is nice but I always liked the Altstadt area in Warsaw better. Now I live in Indonesia (very similar to the Philippines) and love the laid back atmosphere and relaxed rules and regulations compared to the (too) many rules and regulations in European countries. I am from the Netherlands by the way. Selamat and have a good day!
Future topics to cover Farming … Could you raise and sell chickens or goats their? How hard would it be to have solar and or wind for your electricity?
Great 👌 honest discussion on how you came to the Philippines I like how you don't make yourself out to be a big time online marketing tycoon it is great you make a modest income and live a humble life wow 300 us return ticket Philippines to Poland what airline was that so. Cheap lol nice greeting again from new Zealand 🌹💕
That was seven years ago and the line was Cathay Pacific, but we booked it six months earlier. After that, prices steadily increased, the next year I was already paying $400 for a round-trip ticket and now we have reached $1000-1200 😆 Thanks for comment and good word!
Your story resonates with me. I "retired" (got tired of working 😅) at 48 here in the United States. I am now 50 and plan to visit the Philippines for a few months later this year to see how I like it. I believe I can financially be comfortable there if I were to sell my house, cars and things in the states. If I were to find love and create a family there, things could obviously get much more expensive. But I think it is worth the risk. Life is short. I prefer to live mine simply from here on. 🤠 Good luck, my friends.
A few more years of Bong Bong, then hopefully it will be …. Maricar, President and Matt, Minister of Tourism!!. You guys bring sunshine to so many of your followers. We love your videos and it’s openness , honesty and positivity 😊
Just bought some land there in sigijuor with my wife. Planning on moving there once our house is built. Love to connect and talk to you about the island.
Hi guys, nice film, we visit already 3 Times Siqihor. Before we was living 2 years in Moalboal. Know we live close to Dumagethe 3 years. We was thinking to live in Siquihore but it's to small for me.But We always like to visit the magic island Siquihor. Nice regards Christian and Rose
Very happy to see the beautiful place very happy to see you couple again and yes of course it’s better to move to Philippines that is what I’m planning to do as well the same thing really hope you guys doing well and God bless
We really enjoyed listening to your story about moving there. We have a question. Where exactly did you record this video? Does that beach have a name. Beautiful area!
New subscriber here...l enjoy watching your first experienced here in the Philippines. Is your husband still a Poland citizen? Yes,you're right about making decision early in your life. If you still miss the cold weather in your country, try going to Baguio or Tagaytay in Luzon and enjoy it with your family even though we don't have snow here.Hope you have also reaction videos.
Thank for sub and good word. Yes im from Poland and i don't miss cold weather, i could go someday for snowboarding but i don't want to live in cold climate again 😆 I would love to visit Baguio and Tagaytay someday.
I’m Filipino who live here in Portugal and I have Friends from Poland and they’re are very nice and Friendly People like Filipino compare to other European
Can you interview some of the locals on Siquijor and ask them what they do and learn about their stories? I would be very interested in knowing more about the Filipino mentality.
I am older than you late 50e from Canada. I have been to the Phils 18 times from just two weeks at a time up to three months. Like most retirees, especial if single or divorced you get jaded about the dismal social scene and just getting tired of all the same things. Congradulations on living the dream, but your island is not very big. What happens if there is a typhoon? Need a doctor if you have dengue fever? There is a lack of services in a secluded place but the trade off is cheap and simple living. In larger cities the living expense is higher. I was planning $2500 a month but you are proof of $100 or less still exists despite inflation.
Is this in Paliton ? I so love the beaches in Siquijor. I'm from Duma, hope to meet you both when I go there and visit. Just subscribed to your channel. Wonderful Fam.
Hei both and family 😊, at last I watch how both of u meet😊. My husband and me always watching ur every vlogs. But everytime we watching I'm always wondering how both of u meet. My husband from Norge and we have a lot of friends from Poland😊. This area S and Dumaguite where both of u now, we really like and ❤. Just keep vlogging. More blessing and God bless us.👍 💖 ☝🌷
Thank you so much, Joyce and to your husband for supporting our channel 🙂 God bless you and your family. We hope you'll stay connected for more upcoming videos 😉
I can see the simplicity of you both. And,humble to accept every blessings in life.God bless you both and Family. I like everytime most when Maricar reacts.

Try you can always come back if something doesn't work out. It's better to regret doing something than to regret not even trying.

You are beyond rich if you don't need anything. That is a good life.
Thank you for the comment.
Tama ka dyan Maricar! Very straight answer, “Philippines is not for everyone especially for the complainers” 😂
Yep! Yung iba kasi dami reklamo pero mag stay pa din dito 🤣
You guys are great. So chill. I really like your style. Yes, life is short. :)
Thanks so much!!

This video helped me so much with keeping to my plan of moving there. Thank you guys. Love your chemistry.
Glad it was helpful!
So proud of these couple , so humble continue what makes you both Happy..Bless you always keep it up
Thanks so much 🙂
Im 26 years old i live on my own i want to go to the Philippines but my parents and family apose and tell me that i need to work hard and think of buying a house materialistic things ect.
Thank you ☺️ and i agree with you 100% going to Philippines is what will make me be happy and have piece of mind

Well said I'm happy that you love Philippines is small country but a million times beautiful

Years ago I visited Poland. Went to see the Black Madonna at (?) Chesticowa (spelling?).
In Polish it's Czestochowa, next time try to visit Krakow, the beautiful old city of Polish kings. 💯🌊🌴🥥
@@IslaPamilya Thank you. I am 84 and knew I didn't spell it right. We also went north to Warsaw. Poland is beautiful and the people are great. Enjoy.
Thank You for kind words about my country, we have also great food ;)
@@IslaPamilya I used to live and work in Poland, many years ago in a small city called Radom +/- 100 KM from Warsaw. Very quiet but nice small city and in the weekends to Warsaw for parties, we had a good time and indeed good food!! Krakow is nice but I always liked the Altstadt area in Warsaw better. Now I live in Indonesia (very similar to the Philippines) and love the laid back atmosphere and relaxed rules and regulations compared to the (too) many rules and regulations in European countries. I am from the Netherlands by the way. Selamat and have a good day!
Future topics to cover
Farming … Could you raise and sell chickens or goats their?
Great video, Do you miss potatoes? 18:18 the water looks so good!
He's still eating potatoes here.
I love the beach..island life is beautiful
Thanks for watching. 🙂
Good luck with all your plans 🙂 God bless you! Thanks for watching and kind words ❤️
Some day I will do that Maciek ☺️ .I getting more info and start driming on .
This is a good start, I keep my fingers crossed! 💯🌊🌴🥥

We really enjoyed listening to your story about moving there. We have a question. Where exactly did you record this video? Does that beach have a name. Beautiful area!
It is called Small Paliton Beach. This is our favorite beach spot here in Siquijor. It is really beautiful. 😍 Thank you so much for watching.
When the Philippines 🇵🇭 loosen all restrictions, I will move to the Philippines 🇵🇭 and marry a Filipina.
If you marry a filipina ,you will have NO restriction ,if you have baby better
Choose a right Filipina bro✌️👋
Just be careful in choosing your wife

Can you interview some of the locals on Siquijor and ask them what they do and learn about their stories? I would be very interested in knowing more about the Filipino mentality.
That some idea for vlog, noted. Thanks!
At 1:00…”Let’s talk about sex”!!!
🤣🤣🤣
Hilarious! She says, “It’s not funny” makes it even funnier.
Haha! Thanks for watching. 🙂
We have talked about it in city vs province vlog, always plus and cons.
Is this in Paliton ? I so love the beaches in Siquijor. I'm from Duma, hope to meet you both when I go there and visit. Just subscribed to your channel. Wonderful Fam.
