I have an expensive and unused centre pin reel that I just got out from the cupboard this morning. Looked long and hard at it, superb engineering, beautiful on the eye and wondered where and how I might use it here in Oz. You’ve inspired me and a plan has been hatched, so many thanks for that. So envious of your grayling though, gorgeous bloody things, but our estuary perch will have to do. Cheers again, terrific production too.

Thanks Ross, I’m sure you can put your reel to good use for some species. You can trot the float with most baits, even artificial, flies and nymphs, if it’s permitted that is. Tight lines my friend and thanks for your comments and channel support always appreciated.

Cheers pal, I don’t know much about river fly fishing for salmon or dead baiting for pike, although the latter doesn’t excite me much but each to their own.

Here in my place of British Columbia Canada you are not allowed to chum the water when your fishing in fresh water ..
