Such a simple arrangement and yet the melody of the song is SO pretty . Unfortunately ,as you may know , Mr Sakamoto who had a tremendous hit with this in 1963,died in the commercial plane crash that involved the single largest loss of life of any ONE plane collision in the history of aviation to this day--as I write this in 2020 .
It wasn't a collision-it was a maintenance fault where the tail blew off. The pilots did a fantastic job staying in the air that long, though. RIP Kyu Sakamoto

actually kyu-chan decided to name it Sukiyaki for he thought UE O Muite Arukou" wasn't catchy enough
so he just named it after japanese beef stew because it was an easier japanese word lmao
