This is the best game for the Riddler trophies. No races, no gliding at a perfect angle... the only one I'm eager to get all of them in every playthrough
The Batman Arkham series is one of my favourite ever game series, and I still play all four of them regularly. I've only played Asylum, City, Origins, and Knight, not the 2D games or the mobile ones. And next year will be the tenth anniversary of the release of Batman: Arkham Knight. It's an enormous pity that we never received more games in the series (I'm really not expecting 'Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League' to be much good, sadly), as I think many gamers would love to see more of this franchise.
I always end it with Hugo Strange's bio being the last riddle. I would also only read it in the secret room in the warden's office. I read the bio out loud and let my last shot of asylum be the blueprints for arkham city. I always reawaken that slight feeling of dread of whats to come in the next game.
@@thelonesurvivor3955 Yeah but they are way longer to get. It takes like 2 minutes to get some puzzles because you have to follow a riddler trail using the scanner on the Batmobile. City might have more but it felt simpler and less exhausting to me.
Ya know seeing this again makes me realize that it’s no wonder riddler is so mad and hates Batman so much. I’m sure he has some idea of what’s going on at the asylum that night. Imagine hearing about how Batman defeated Joker, Harley, Bane, Poison Ivy, Killer Croc, and Scarecrow all in one night, and that on top of that, he could still beat Riddler basically over the phone without even saying anything, like as a side note. Yeah I’d be pissed too.
I like to end it at very the top of the Arkham Mansion tower where Batman is on the main menu screen, I save the Wayne Tower riddle for last. Last playthrough I did it before confronting Joker so the end credits are actually the end.
The last thing I had to beat the riddler was the map in intensive treatment. I literally found everything I needed to while looking for the map. It was still great but probably would have been much more satisfying if I wasn’t stuck trying to find the thing I was supposed to find early on
It's kind of funny to imagine Batman purposefully saving the last riddle for Riddler's cell and collecting it while he's getting arrested. At the same time, I kind of like the idea of finishing Riddler's side quest before you reveal the secret of who the Spirit of Arkham is and denying Riddler the answer.
I alway liked to end it with the huge question sprayed on rooftops that you have to look at from the top of the tower, because it was just my favorite. And it's the highest point in the game so you can take a long glide afterwards.
I've always wanted to do this but it's just so easy to do early in the game when he starts annoying you and you get back to the cellblock along with that trophy in the vent right next to his cell which is usually the first one I pick up whenever I replay this game.
I find it funny how the second batman tells the cops where Riddler is they are on him in seconds that implies he was near a police station what an idiot
I like to do this ending in the Mansion. The last interview tapes I listen to are Scarecrow’s (setting up his overall arc for the trilogy), the last riddle I solve is involving Hugo Strange, and then I go immediately to the hidden room and find the plans for Arkham City.
I always make sure my riddles are completed before I finish the main story. It makes no sense as to why batman would still be there after the main game. I find the trophies not demanding enough to not be able to knock them out as you go and have it still be just one night of events happening. There’s no way all the stuff you can do in the next 2 games all only take place over one night each. And with the stories being time oriented themselves, the countdown to protocol 10, scarecrow reinforcing it being one night, Batman being poisoned in city, it makes more sense in those games to just finish the story first and then go back and do all the other things you can do. I play it like the riddles and side stuff take place over a few nights after the night of the main game, and I’ll gradually knock out side missions as I do the riddler stuff. It’s usually during those riddler trophy hunts that I find the next Azrael mission, the next Hush victim, the blaring music of a mr pig victim and follow it to the crime scene.
I recently did a completion run of this game and I made sure that Riddler's cell would be the very last riddle to complete before I went to fight Joker. Man the feeling of satisfaction hearing Eddie getting whoopd by the cops was absolutely brilliant.
I think in Knight, it works well if you take down Riddler first, which you can do if you ignore Scarecrow's demands to surrender yourself. All of his riddles are complete, and if you do the second to last Penguin mission. It's somehow more satisfying in NG+ when he's the only villain in the cell for a large portion of the game.
I know right? I was just about to find the last couple trophies and then I remembered that one and I was like wouldn’t be super ironic if I did that riddle last?
@@compcomp7636 Knight had less trophies but made you work for it, City has the most trophies out of all games and the catwomen ones are the most annoying

This is the best game for the Riddler trophies. No races, no gliding at a perfect angle... the only one I'm eager to get all of them in every playthrough
Relatable
I like how we all just started going back to the og quadrilogy, because suicide squad sucker.
I know right? It just feels good to after the Doggie doo games we see today
Same here man
@@StudMacher78not even mentioning Gotham Knights is what makes you a G.
@@NormanTinerGotham Knights isn't in the Arkhamverse...
Suicide Squad seems alright, although I'd hardly call it an Arkham game, even if it's set in the same universe.
@@lukegibson6044 gotcha I’ll have to check it out once I get a good deal cause you already know I’m not paying 70 bucks for it
I always end it with Hugo Strange's bio being the last riddle. I would also only read it in the secret room in the warden's office. I read the bio out loud and let my last shot of asylum be the blueprints for arkham city. I always reawaken that slight feeling of dread of whats to come in the next game.
Asylum and City riddler stuff is cool for me. AK pissed me off with all the Batmobile trophies
At least arkham knight actually goes back down with the number of riddles, close to asylum's 240.
@@thelonesurvivor3955 Yeah but they are way longer to get. It takes like 2 minutes to get some puzzles because you have to follow a riddler trail using the scanner on the Batmobile. City might have more but it felt simpler and less exhausting to me.
Batman be like: best me? You couldn’t even beat the police. 😂
Wow, Gotham cops did their job without half of them getting killed.
Same. I kinda feel bad for the poor guy. Dude just wanted to be noticed as the better villain
I completed riddler the other night, and i was happy.
Only kevin conroy can bring me back childhood memorys r.i.p
No one cares
This game still looks phenomenal. God i was spoiled. I seriously cannot believe that there haven't been single player games like this since.
Imagine Batman saying "I'll be here in your cell waiting for you to come, Riddler."
Riddler : Batman, subtitles : Fatman 😂😂
riddler got swatted by the bat.
@1:07 - that idle emote is so fitting for the occasion - the sweet emote of success 😂
I smile when I heard Riddler resisting arrest from the police every time I played this game
That was awesome!!! I love outsmarting Nygma and hearing him freak the hell out!
I like the end this game gave me my vengeance 😂😂😂😂😂
You would think Riddler would have death traps at his location to prevent people from getting to him.
I find it funny how the second batman tells the cops where Riddler is they are on him in seconds that implies he was near a police station what an idiot
@@b1gbreezzzy718 really? I forgot about that part. Maybe the cops were already on their way after Batman tracked his location for them
Police: Shut up Ridder, you're under arrest, no more calls, and hope you liked roommates behind bars.
Riddle me this: which cell did they chuck Nigma back into?
I like to do this ending in the Mansion. The last interview tapes I listen to are Scarecrow’s (setting up his overall arc for the trilogy), the last riddle I solve is involving Hugo Strange, and then I go immediately to the hidden room and find the plans for Arkham City.
As the 2003 Michelangelo once said, “Finally! Shut him down, and shut him up!”
You mean that quote from Star Wars
@@VexxtheVoid
No, the 2003 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles episode Return to New York Part 3.
@@Xelatheshep I know right?
This is always a pleasure😊Hearing Riddler arrested😁
“Cheaters never prosper!”
Batman:
That’s exactly what I did for my first time playing this game, which was literally almost a month ago.
I always try to end it in some poetic way like this, but always miss one chattering teeth somewhere
“STOP RESISTING”
I think in Knight, it works well if you take down Riddler first, which you can do if you ignore Scarecrow's demands to surrender yourself. All of his riddles are complete, and if you do the second to last Penguin mission. It's somehow more satisfying in NG+ when he's the only villain in the cell for a large portion of the game.
I remember when Arkhamplaythroughs finished like this too!
That's funny cuz I saved that for last on my last playthrough too lol.
Riddler: Literally getting arrested by the police
Meanwhile Batman: 🗿
"Where do u find my home sweet home?"
Oh the irony....
I know right? I was just about to find the last couple trophies and then I remembered that one and I was like wouldn’t be super ironic if I did that riddle last?
“Can you defeat a mind such a mine?”

Batman basically doxxed Riddler and got him swatted.
Riddler got exposed watching intellectual graphic content.

Why did he make paint foot prints on the walls of his cell? Sheesh Riddler really is like a child..
They should remaster or remake all these games man they are amazing
lol i bet he actually did have a final challenge for gotham before being arrested

I love how he goes you cheated like he didn’t leave maps around
I agree I finished it like that too.
EDIT: Also, yeah...hearing Nigma get absolutely outsmarted in this game was about the most satisfying thing ever.
Man I tell you what, Arkham Asylum aged like fine wine....but I do NOT miss those stupid hacking puzzles...a lot of downtime.
Yeah, they got worse throughout the series, but typically, they weren't plastered ALL over the place except for Riddler stuff...but in this game, it's a given you're going to hack a pad every single level. Got old real quick.
But honestly, if that's the only major gripe I've got on this 10+ year old game, that's telling you something about how good it is.
I love asylum, the only problem the games has is that once you 100% it, there’s is nothing else to do
@@fallvec1423 to be fair it was released in 2009 and it originally was going to be made to be a free roam game but the developers had a very limited budget since they were a small company of 60 people and only had 2 years to make it. Out of genuine curiosity, do you really think Arkham Asylum riddler is actually satisfying? I mean, in comparison to every other game in this 4 game franchise?
