Gonna be a stud
This kid is one of the only things that made last season watchable. He really is something else and I hope he takes another step this season. Also I hope he stops being the victim of horrendous officiating. I know NHL officiating in general has been getting worse by the season over the last several years but some of the calls against Benson were utterly baffling.
We need an extended highlight package that show his ferocious forechecking.

Granato allowed Benson to get his foot in the door of the Sabres franchise, and Zach didn't disappoint! Now it's up to Ruff to match him with two other forwards (Savoie? Kulich?) to form a new 'Kid Line' (Cozens, Peterka & Quinn are a little too old for that one any more!) I hope he stays with the team for a long time to come.
Well, scratch Savoie! But the Finn they drafted in the first round, Helenius, looks like he could be this year's Zach Benson, and what a line him, Benson, and Kulich could be!
Wanna see Kulich get a real shot with the Sabres this year. Wanna see Konsta light up the AHL so much they pull him up.
