@ Sorry…Something’s were just better back then! Messier, Leetch, zubov, graves, richter, Kovalev, Amonte…NJ- Steven’s , Daneyko, Niedermayer, Richer , Lemieux, Guerin, Brodeur… just to name some. It was a FN men only affair. Don’t dig yourself any further today’s rivalry is laughable compared to back then.
Obviously crazy talented. But I definitely underestimated how analytical and high is hockey IQ is. Hearing him explain his thought processes is really fascinating
Not so sure either will own the league especially a Bedard. I would rank Celebrini ahead of Bedard right now. Bigger, faster , stronger and plays 200ft. Already!
Hockey players today. So down-to-earth, smart, humor, focused on the game and super knowledgeable about the game. Ready to develop themselves however they can. So good to watch stuff like this.
In terms of humor and down to earth. The hockey players today don’t even compare to those of the past. I mean come on. I’m a millennial and I realize the older generations own those two categories for eternity. The young guys are cool but door knobs compared to the maniacs from past decades. Understandable with the money and spotlight, just sayin. Listen to Biz and Whitney. That’s humor.
@@le9335 Yeah, they're more professional now. They realize they cannot go out publicly and say whatever they like or invent. Times have drastically changed; there's more responsibility now, and more tact is required. Now it's required to be nice and well-mannered. But yeah, I'm not comparing the sense or quality of humor of these two eras of players. They need to be more careful now. Just mentioned certain humorous touch as one of the good qualities of gentlemanly figure here that is Jack Hughes.
It’s still insane to me that this young man is one of the best players in the league. He still looks sounds like a teenage kid and is scrawny and shorter than the average hockey player, but man is he a monster on the ice!
JH epitomizes everything that makes hockey fun - smart, open, talented, humble, articulate, fearless and appreciative of both supporters and opponents. Jack please play forever and then have an epic media career; you’re bringing a of people joy 😎
Accurate what Bratt said! Jack is a beautiful skater. I remember watching him for the first time (didn’t know it was him) and he quickly caught my attention with how smooth and effortlessly he skates.
Im a Kings fan, but i feel like Hughes can be the best player in the league, and yes i know Connor McDavid exists. Hughes really is a magician out there
As a Devils fan I have to disagree, no one will top McDavid. Hughes is still top 10 in the league though. He will reach top 5 eventually, possibly this year.
I thought it was just a natural talent thing. If I never heard him talk about it I never would have thought that's something he actually works on. After he said it, seeing it I totally get what he means by stickhandling with his feet. He does look like he's going backhand just watching his skates.
If he plays 78+ games again this year he will pass 100 points with ease. Wouldn’t be shocked with 120+ points. My sharks are in a rough rebuilding stage so will be rooting for one of my favorite sharks Timo, along with Jack and the Devils. Good luck this year!
Jack, Bratt and Toffoli could be the best line in NHL, sooner rather than later. Toffoli worked well with Elias Pettersson and should be a good matching with Jack-Bratt.
Yes, let's ignore Quinn. He only plays on the west coast of Canada and all the sports channels have their HQ on the east coast. I remember when the Leafs were awful and I still had to watch the Worst Case Ontario sports crew go on and on about how great their players were. As a Canucks fan, it's pretty ridiculous. We've been bad for a decade and were treated like it. The Leafs on paper should be a finalist, but they barely got past the first round last year. I still enjoy watching them choke, knowing everyone did the same thing in Canada in 2011. If the Canucks can never be Canada's team, neither can the Laffs. The more they win in the regular season, the more it builds up to them choking when it matters. Can't wait.
This might be the best jack hughes interview I’ve ever seen
As a Rangers fan I respect this guy a lot. Best forward in Metro.
As a devils fan I respect you and your team a lot. Best goalie in the metro, top 5 PP in the league.
Devils fan chiming in to say Igor is remarkable.
@@absentprophecy900and they still suck
Best forward last year**
Sidney Crosby still is alive 🤭
This is the kind of interview we need from Jack, great stuff. No stupid questions google can answer for me, just talking about hockey. Thank you!
I love watching Hughes play, all the brothers as a matter of fact. Very high skill levels and all hustlers!
The candidness is refreshing. I’d be shocked if this guys doesn’t retire with at least one cup ring.
Even as a Rags fan i love this kid. class act. Rangers Devils rivalry is truly better than ever thanks to Jack and Igor
Love the mutual respect they have for eachother too
So true
lol… better than ever, go check early 90s and get back to me!

I love listening to this young man. You can hear the love he has for this game. He’s so hockey smart.
Obviously crazy talented. But I definitely underestimated how analytical and high is hockey IQ is. Hearing him explain his thought processes is really fascinating
It might just be me but does his voice sound really calming to anyone
I had no idea how smart and articulate this young man was. Jeez. Playing him 4 times a year is a blessing and a curse
absolutely love that after the story you cut to the game footage!
I became a fan of hughes after this candid interview. I hope this kid can stay healthy for his whole career of and consistently hit 100+ point seasons
Lifelong Ranger fan it pains me to say it this kid is the real deal. Hughes and Bedard will own the league the next 15 years.
Tim Stutzle as well. Kid is an animal has similar play style to jack Hughes
Will Smith Eiserman Cooley Celebrini Fantili Carlson a ,ot of high end elite talent
Not so sure either will own the league especially a Bedard. I would rank Celebrini ahead of Bedard right now. Bigger, faster , stronger and plays 200ft. Already!
Exciting time to be a Devils fan. Great to see Jack's personality, as usual!

Jack is a beauty
Jack will get his 100 points this season, you can see the glimmer in his eyes. Can't wait to see him versus Bedard, oh baby!
This kid is the real deal.
What a great guy.
Thank you for showing the clips of Bratt scoring.

Impressive player and hockey IQ. Great interview.
"Stop taking stupid penalties.... " - Everybody stares at Miles Wood😏
I love Wood but 😂
Indeed :D Hope Miles does well with the AVs though.

he's talking about Meier🤣

what an impressive young man
Man does this kid get it. Keep on keeping on Jack. 😈😈
I like Jack even more than I already did after hearing this interview. So well spoken

Jack, keep doing what you're doing - from an Oilers fan. It's looking good.

It has a chance to be something special
What a great kid. Wow.
LFGD ! Best interview Jack’s ever given.
What a class act, sounds like Sakic in how he sees the game while also remaining humble in explanation.
Jacks so smooth, his skating, handling the bisquet is his strongest asset
Excellent interview! I’m a complete hockey fan and this was great.
Love to see the confidence jacks got now!!
my goat!!!
Jackie boyyyyyyy 👹!!!!
Yep !A class act for sure. What a mindset.
What a memory. What are we talking about 60 goals?
great interview
I wish Jacks answer to that first question was Nathan Bastian 😂😂😂

Starboard🤩
He really sounds like a smart guy
A professor of the game
this was great content
Pure beaut.
Hard not to love this kid and im a Rangers fan.
Love Hughes game and as a former player at a high level remembering goals and plays is kind of second nature and not that hard to believe.
The Devils fans writing this kid off should be ashamed of themselves. He can't even grow a beard yet. There's a humility and self-awareness to him.
We want Quinn !!!
5:37 sheesh
Was he talking about toradol
Watched jack before the NHL and always thought he was a bit over rated and boosted by the talent he was surrounded with- man was I wrong.

Bad guy (probably a great guy) gotta hate him (love watching him play against anyone but the Rangers)
Reminds me of kaner
Bro get that squat up to 400lbs+ and you'll have McDavid acceleration

This isn’t impressive at all. I can also remember every NHL goal I’ve scored, and I don’t even play hockey

I like Jack Hughes a lot. But something about the way he talks is so dopey haha. He sounds perma-fried
Hasn’t scored enough then
Elliot is such a clown it bothers me.
Didn’t play a regular season game goal doesn’t even count

Did you have a stroke writing this, do you need help?
Wut...
Elliot must be so disgusting to have around especially this close
Hockey IQ genius level. ❤🖤🏒😈

I honestly didn't think they were going to post this! 👿🏒 The visuals are really helpful cuz I was just listening before.
