But isn't it funny how retailers say prices go up because of stealing, but when they lock everything up so you have to have an employee get it out for you the prices then don't go down? Almost like these retailers are actually just trying blame everyone else for the prices when it's just the ceo's fault. Also tbh I don't gaf if someone is stealing potatoes or toothpaste. Nobody steals stuff like that because they're just being a wacky selfish person.
That's actually untrue. CEO greed is why prices keep going up. Large thefts are rare compared to their sales, and they have insurance. The ones who hurt are the small businesses who have a hard time paying more for their insurance and these small businesses are not known to be the price gougers.

That's such a bad take, I'm really sorry for your mindset. Crime knows no boundaries, including color, race, language, gender, etc. A criminal is a criminal.
It's unfortunate that the media only shows low level crimes for the public's consumption to condition them to believe that a certain demographic of people are the main culprits of crime. That's called propaganda. The main culprits of the theft and greed that directly affects your life are hidden in plain sight and they DO NOT look like these people. Educate yourself.
Having a fully staffed police dept is a great start but if the judicial system just winks and let’s criminals go, why bother arresting them at all?!
I'll never understand how people can just walk into a store and steal anything that is not nailed down. Imagine if others showed up at the thieves homes and took from them. That's how judges should punish for theft, allow business owners and their employees to take from the thieves..

Morals & integrity are seriously lacking nowadays. I will never forget growing up I found a wallet outside of the library with thousands of dollars in it & gave it to my mom she found the license found the person & promptly returned it even though we were poor . I don't know if she got a reward but a bit later we were at the beach where we always put our boat in and I found several hundred dollars in the seaweed washed up on shore and we were the only ones there so I think I got to keep it & gave it to my Mom , I was probably less than 10yrs old at the time. You simply do the right thing. Even when noone is watching & you always get blessed tenfold. Dont be greedy or a thieve. Cameras are everywhere So its unreal how people think they are so sneaky they can get away with stealing.
I agree. I'm glad you feel you should do the right thing, so many these days don't! I do not believe in stealing anyway, but one incident helped reinforce my belief in humans: In junior high, I misplaced my purse twice (I was a pretty distracted 6th grader lol). The first time, they called me to the office to say they found my purse, wallet in it but emptied of money. I was sad, but not surprised, I expected as much. The second time I was aghast that I had either left it or someone swiped it off the back of my chair during a project-day. Again, the office calls to tell me my purse is there. I sadly go retrieve it...they tell me all the compartments were opened....I sighed & said "I know." But then they tell me "All your money is still in it." I was thrilled! I silently thanked who did that & was a LOT more careful after that! :)
Also, when I worked in a supermarket occasionally people would hand me too much money unintentionally. One day I realized 2 one-dollar bills were stuck together & I handed it back to the customer. He looked at me like I was astonishing to him. He says "You....gave this back to me." Me: "Um, yeah sure." I smiled. He said "But you work hard for your money." Me: "Um, so do you I imagine! Its your money, not mine sir." He looked so pleased. It was nice that he was so happy, but rather sad that he assumed that I would not give it back.

I've had my own best friends steal from me & one drugged me & tried to kill me , I did overdose & have a NDE. You just really have to be careful in all aspects of life. Have a good night ♥

If it were not for the laws and punishments against murder, countless people would murder almost every single day, possibly all day.
The fact that most of us can go through an entire day without personally witnessing a murder is solely due to the consequence(s) of getting caught murdering.

Scary world we live in
It’s the bad humans that make it scary. I’m not going to stop living a full life and enjoy it. It’s the news media and social media that people focus on to put anger and fear in us. Who wants to live a life like that? These big box stores tell their employees don’t touch the people stealing, even the security guards can’t touch someone walking out of a store with an arm load or a shopping cart full of merchandise. I understand they might have a knife or a fun, but big companies don’t want to be sued by an employee if they get hurt and they will be quickly fired if they try to stop a thief. Unfortunately, people have stealing forever. But they got long time jail time. Not now. Just be safe wherever you go. The world is still beautiful, there’s bad humans who want to scare us.

The video of the disabled man being assaulted by police officers is beyond disgusting. I wonder how tough those officers felt abusing a disabled man. All they had to do was help him pay. Guys always put your wallet in front pocket when shopping. Looks like the wallet fell out of his jacket pocket. If putting it in there, make sure the pocket has a zipper to zip it up.
