I’ve just started looking into digitizing and I am so glad I found you. After spending the last 2 days, learning some techniques, you have already saved time for me. I’ll be sure to continue watching your directions. Thanks!
Excellent video, really clear and using basic tools which make the method easier to carry out in other software such as PE Des 10 that I have. The method of drawing-in complete lines/curves and the cutting-out and deleting of unwanted sections is really useful and a very 'tidy' technique I think. Also hadn't thought to draw an outline with an open line/curve then 'close' it to make and outline object, before then selecting a fill for the region-element of the new outline object - again a really efficient & 'tidy' technique to my eyes. I've only been digitizing for about a month (with PE Design 10) and have learned an huge amount. Now at the stage of more 'technical' aspects of digitizing which begin to enable a transition from 'just O.K.' digitizing to 'just about looking a little more professional' stages (with the delight of a significant reduction or even elimination of jumps, colour-changes and a crazy-looking underside) has only been possible for me thanks to folk such as yourself and others at all levels taking the time and effort to put up these videos. Very much appreciated indeed. Many thanks. Looking forward to looking at your other content too. 👏👏✔✔
Thank you so much for posting this. You make it so easy to understand! I am from AZ and can’t get to your shop.:-( would you be willing to send the cd or have an area to download the examples for a fee? I would love to practice with your videos.
No the short satin border line that was at top of w. Couldn't it be created before continuing around the side of w with the traveling stitch? I get the breaking stitch. Maybe it will be covered later in film?
You are the best I had prob with hatch v3 on my MAC running parallels so I have to buy embrilance to get me by for now until I have them fix or return or I buy a win computer
When digitizing first satin line, when you created running line around the right leg of "w", was there a reason why you did not stop to digitize the small segment before traveling on around to the remaining broken segment?
+Dianne Salazar It's a monthly class I teach here in the store. This video is what I sent home with everyone who came so they can remember what we did.
