This touched my heart. Went through a similar timeline when I got my diabetes 19/20 years ago. I was in yr4.
After a year of having it, I remember collapsing on Christmas Day due to hypo as I didn’t want to eat and let my BG drop and drop and drop. My mum and I didn’t really know much back.
    Great content as usual Becks❤️👊🏾

im coming up to my 11 years in january (not sure on the day tho) but i remember i was so scared when they said those 3 words and i even cried. i think i really thought my life was over. but i got through it and had some really supportive friends and now i've been on the omnipod dash for about a year (prior to that i was on the first omnipod system and before that was on the Accu-Chek Insight) and have used the freestyle libre 1 since 2017? but now im on the libre 2

With the current situation in the world. Do you have any suggestions or knowledge what one would do without insulin if the medical chain was to collapse?

If that were to happen there would be thousands of dead diabetics within weeks, there’s no way around not having any insulin. I’m sure they have contingency plans to ensure the supplies of critical medicines
