    I think Ma Long is the greatest player of all time, and yet Ryu Seung Min is probably my favourite player of all time. I liked his style of superb footwork, and his serve was truly fantastic. Very entertaining player overall. I was truly happy when he won the olympics.

    Ma Long, Ryu and Ma Lin is worlds top 10 best players. Difference between Ryu and Ma Lin as penhold- players is that Ryu have better footwork. As former tabletennis player I know that controlling your rocket and your moves is most important, later "read the oppenents moves and tactic" and to be one step before to overwin your opponents tactic of playing is most important. Ma Long is the best player of all and have also succeded in WM and OS tournaments and other big tournaments. China is the best tabletennis country in the world, with around 2 million "elite" tabletennis players. Wonderful tabletennis to watch in this match. ; )

      YoYoLeeLee,
      Nothing to take away from Ryu, if he has the best forehand of all-time, he won't have losing records against most of the Chinese national players. I won't even bother to look up the stats, as for Ryu's winning % against Ma Lin should be around 20%. During the 60s and 70s, there were many pen-holders from Japan and China that were really good with their forehands. Besides, the 38mm balls were faster with higher RPM.

    • @benthekeeshond545
      @benthekeeshond545 4 года назад +3

      Ma Long's power and precision forced that upon Ryu. Ryu couldn't pick clean shots. Ryu knew that he couldn't handle Ma's offensive tactics. He tried to force the initial attacks and made things worse. Ryu lost many matches against Wang Liqin in a similar fashion. Ma Long when compared to Wang Liqin, Ma is more lethal as an offensive player. Ryu had no chance against the Dragon.

    • @ravenjs3609

      What the first comment saids true but also mainly because of the traditional penhold style theres no backhand so it required lots of footwork and ye which is what ryu
      is known for, but that amount of footwork needs stamina and ryu was heading towards 30.

    • @3dprintworld503

      백핸드 부담 때문에 체력소모가 심하죠. 쉐이크는 면만 바꾸면 되는데.... 펜홀더의 시대는 예전에 끝났죠.

      Ryu's record against commie Chinese players is worse than dismal. I don't know about the exact losing %. I guess it got to be higher than 70%. Did he ever win against Ma Long?

    • @xyzzzzz01
      @xyzzzzz01 9 лет назад

      Goriaas boll has only lost won time against ryu seung min and beat him ~15 times...

    • @Goriaas
      @Goriaas 9 лет назад

      TTMalte Hm i doubt thats their record. But the only time they met in major competition boll won against him in the 2008 world cup and 2007 wttc ryu won 4-0....

    • @xyzzzzz01
      @xyzzzzz01 9 лет назад

      Goriaas i know that ryu beat him at the wttc in 2007. in official tournaments it's 8-1 in bolls favour (just checked it from ittf.com) and ryu also played in the bundesliga for several years. i can't remember ryu beating boll in the bundesliga...
