As an actor he was very good but what he did for his country was very bad he was a no 1 actor from 1990 till 1994 but he also lost his stardom from there infact he did comeback from vaastav but he still did not reached the stardom like srk and salman
The only person I feel sad for is Mr. Sunil Dutt. The fact that in his last years he had to literally bow down to certain politicians to garner support for his child.

Did Sunil Dutt support those families in anyway, who lost a loved one or the sole bread winner? No he didn't. He chose to save his son who was a incontrollable since childhood. I have no sympathies for him. Or I'd have to be sympathetic to Dawood Ibrahim father and every terrorists family member who support their child.

Let me fill up some gaps; Before 1993 blasts, Dawood's consignment of arms & weapons was scheduled to be driven from Gujarat's Bharuch in a white Maruti Van, The van was driven by Abu Salem at Baba Musa Chauhan's behest, both of whom were working for Dawood at the time. Now once in Mumbai, Dawood's brother Anees asked his tow aides Samir Hingora and Hanif Kadawala to keep these arms at their Linking Road office. But they couldn't do so because Samir and Hanif were having a dispute with their landlord and the landlord used to call cops on them every now and then. Samir and Hanif suggested Sanjay Dutt's name to Ibrahim for this job. As per the charge sheet filed by Mumbai Police they told Anees, "Bhai our hero adores you and Dawood bhai a lot, he won't be able to say and consignment will be the most safe at his bungalow". After this Anees called Sanjay Dutt, just one phone call from Dawood Ibrahim's brother and Sanjay Dutt agreed to help the most dreaded narco-terrorist. On 16 Jan 1993, three months before the blasts, Samir Hingora and Abu Salem drove that white Maruti Van to Sanjay Dutt's Bungalow where it was parked for two months. Sanjay Dutt had 51,84,000 seconds to change his mind, either inform his father or the police about this van. Had he done it 1993 blasts could have been averted, countless people wouldn't have lost their lives, but he chose not to do it... and yet he is portrayed as a good hearted victim of circumstances. Rajkumar Hirani shall not be forgiven for whitewashing the image of this convicted criminal who always had a known and willful association with gangsters and the public enemy no 1 of India, Dawood Ibrahim.

One thing I like about him that he's a honest person. No one is 100% angel. We all do mistakes. Some do big mistakes and some do small. He learned lessons from his mistakes and always tells his kids to not be like him but be like sunil dutt. He's a family guy now and doing really good acting in movies

I watched Sanju with my mom, initially I thought that he was an amalgamation of his mistakes and society. I slowly realised there were things he could've done right, but somewhere in him he never tried to get up close with anyone from the start and share his issues, like when he came back from boarding . The reason of his popularity mainly comes from the fact his brand is "Don't be like me"

Sanjay Dutt is a classic example of how toxic masculinity in Indian society actually works. If at 6 years, his father would have avoided smoking in front of a child and did it somewhere else, then maybe Sanjay Dutt would be someone else.
Instead of putting him in boarding school and suddenly punishing a child with loneliness and independence while a little kid is co-dependent on his own parents, Sanjay Dutt should've acted as a proper father figure who guides him through life.
If a mother is your emotional support, a father is your moral and mindful support.
But as an adult, he was aware of what he was doing. He destroyed lives and common people. The moral policing should always be done instead of glorifying his criminal activities.
It's good to praise his journey for overcoming drug addiction but it's important to condemn that he is no less than a criminal or terrorist since he is responsible for so many deaths.
