FOLD IT! I'm a Bee! I LOVE the KonMari folding style!! My Butterfly hubby LOVES the freedom of rolling his clothing! Thank goodness for Cas and her Clutterbug styles!

She was very nice, she was like an aunt. He hates laundry; from sorting to putting it away. I am being to think that's why he asked me to marry him so, I would take over that chore.
I’m totally a cricket so I can understand Tom perfectly. People see me as a control freak but it’s just I like things precise and in order 🤷🏼♀️ what can I say 😉🥰 and I totally fold my hubby’s undershirts and underwear and group socks together 🤷🏼♀️
“I want to do it once and be done, and I want it to stay that way forever.” My thoughts exactly, Tom! This keeps me from completing many things. 😬 I’m a cricket as well, and I can relate to pretty much everything you are saying!
I don't always do that, because of the chronic pain and fatigue. I laid it up in flat piles; the t-shirts and pants so they don't wrinkle, hang dresses blouses, socks and other undergarments can wait to get paired-up till next day. I do laundry all in one day. Hang up about ⅓ of it to line dry or hanger dry.
Absolultely! I love to open a drawer and see everything in the drawer lined up and folded neatly. Of course I am a Cricket so that makes perfect sense for me.

Team Tom! I wash/dry/fold and leave his in his basket to put away. If the clothes stay in the basket and get wrinkled, oh well. Sometimes it can take him a week to either wear or put away.
Team Tom on this one. I love how Cass's system makes so much sense to everyone. It literally takes the argument out of shared spaces. Oh well, gotta find something else to argue about now!
In my house, we have made our peace that whoever does the chore does it their own way and that's the right way. We don't do the dishes or laundry the same, but in the end they get clean.
I think I'm a butterfly, and folding makes me happy. I can see everything at a glance when it's folded into my drawer, and it makes me happier to wear things that look nice. I would say though that we STILL have not seen the folding on the channel though, because you cut out the middle. I'd love to see how Tom folds, that's one nice looking shirt.
I've watched this vid numerous time, and listen as I'm cleaning areas. Tom, I'm like you! I was raised on "if it's worth doing, it's worth doing right" which to me means if you do it right you don't have to do it again! Makes doing the laundry and cleaning the house a challenge, right?!?
That's a great idea! I know it's time to wash my clothes when I get to my last pair of undies in the drawer. I have just enough clothes (that I wear daily), socks, and undies so it works out. I don't have to think about it and I don't have a specific day for laundry. Everything gets used before laundry day most of the time, but if not, I make sure I wear the ones that got left out first, so I guess I sort of rotate.
Lol! I loved this video! I'm like Tom, I fold all of our t-shirts and my husband's undershirts. I take great joy seeing those be-ooootiful stacks of neatly folded items!😂
“progress over perfection” I would love everything folded and perfect (and will let things sit until I can complete the task perfectly) but my spouse could care less… so I try to let it go when he helps out with the chores… even if it’s not “my way”. Took me several years to let this go though!!! 🤣
Dawn, you've had me on board since the get go, however, on this one, I'm with Tom. I know it's just an undershirt. But when my insides are in order, my outsides function so much better. And for me, that goes for underwear too. So on this, I'll support Tom in folding all his shirts. They look so neat.

I fold or hang everything. Fits better and you can see what you have. My brain works and feels better when my home is neat, tidy and organized lol also my yard, car and garage. But you have helped my to realize that I organize so well that I didn’t notice I had things I never use 😂 so I’ve donated or given away a truckload of stuff. Yea
I am a fellow minimalist , but folding my clothing , even underwear and socks just feels better for me . Team Tom on that one . You Both inspire me !! And knowing I’m not alone living with less stuff feels very supportive ❤️
I definitely fold clothes straight out of the dryer because I don’t want to iron them. Plus they fit better folded or hung in my limited space. I absolutely love the way the two of you work together towards solutions.
I fold or hang everything. I tried just throwing undershirts in the drawer, but couldn't stand how wrinkly they were and how messy they looked in the drawer.
I hang almost everything. My socks, underwear, bras, exercise clothes, and pajamas are thrown in a draw, not folded. My kids their pants and shorts also go in drawers, also not folded. My husband everything but collared shirts is folded. Even his underwear.
Neatly fold!!!! I don't care how long it takes. I just want it to look nice and feel nice. It's kind of like why make your bed? Nobody is coming over or going to see it and I'm just going to get back into it. But oh!!! How nice it feels to pull down a freshly made bed and get in it for the night! You go Tom!
YES! Absolutely. This is exactly how my husband and I work. Except that he is the ladybug and I am the cricket. This feeling, when he takes my stuff and puts it 'away' and I am not able to find anything after! Very frustrating. ;-)
I have to fold everything except clothes that we hang up. It makes me cringe when I see clothes being thrown in a basket without folding them. I fold my rags so that tells you who is commenting lol
I’m with Tom. We never leave anything sitting in the dryer. As soon as it is dry we hang it or fold it. T-shirts get folded like when they were in the package. Socks get put together and folded over.
It was great to see your working table, because I use mine all the time and love not being closed away in my office. I never imagined throwing clothes into a basket, I love folding neatly. Dawn thank you to opening my eyes to understand others.
Seeing all the crickets commenting on here, I think since we’re the most into organizing, we’re the ones most likely to watch videos like yours. 😊 Tom seems to be right that 95% are siding with him, lol.
I'm totally into organizing, but definitly a ladybug. I love everything being in it's place and still easy to put away. Micro organizing just takes me to much time, so it won't get done. I would love to see more ladybug youtubers. So team Dawn for me, in it's place is in it's place, folding is just an unnecessary step to me 🙂
Good point! I came up as a cricket. I don't know what my partner is (I'd guess butterfly). He likes more things left out than I do and also likes to put things away by tucking them into random drawers and cupboards -- which I hate! How do you find anything later or know what your have? He hates my piles of things left out to organise. Luckily we both don't like a lot of things so it's not too hard to organise what we have.
@@emmac8482 My husband and daughter are the same! Very, very random and like to see everything or it's "out of sight, out of mind"--I'm not sure that randomness even qualifies for one of the categories, but it's close to butterfly I think.
I agree! It doesn’t take that long to fold. For the kids when they’re small, it’s great, but my hubs wouldn’t like looking like a 7 year old that pulled something out of a bin. Which is why he hangs & folds, too.
I fold everything and even just watching the method " toss it in a bin" is causing me anxiety!😄 I am a ladybug too but I think folding is important and it's not that time consuming...🐞😘
Team Dawn. Being the one who does the laundry for the whole household I’m totally Team Dawn. It’s never ending and totally draining to literally fold everything for everyone. I put mine and my daughters in baskets and bins and for my spouse I let them know it’s done and they can leave in bin or fold as they want it done. Caz I’m done stressing and draining myself. If I have something and need to wear and it’s wrinkled just throw in dryer to fluff while I’m getting ready and then I’m done. It literally makes me feel better about having to always do the laundry for everyone. Peace of mind!
My laundry is done the same way!! I deal with mine and the girls clothes (mostly bins or divided drawers) and hubby's go in a laundry basket for him to put away for himself. I gave up on his clothes when he asked me to start folding his underwear. I think I about had a stroke and I told him he was responsible for his own clothes from then on. He has only put them away in drawers 3 or 4 times in the many years since then!!
Fold or hang everything. Love to look in the drawer and see everything at once, kon Mari folded. However, I now let the kids throw their clothes in the drawer with out folding. Thanks Dawn and Cass for helping me see that “my way “ isn’t the only or best way
I love everything you do Dawn excerpt this. Fold the shirts. I can't imagine wearing a wrinkled shirt even if no one else knows, I know. Kids can actually fold their own shirts by a pretty young age. It took Tom like 4 seconds to fold his shirt so nice and neat.
Don’t worry Tom!! I’m a cricket as well and my behavior made so much more sense after I had taken clutterbugs quiz about a year ago. It’s not a control thing!!
So great to see, how differently we all are. I fold AND iron everything, down to bedsheets, tea towels and undergarments and I am sooo happy every time I open the closet and see everything looking neat and tidy. And yes, I do this to my husband’s and kids clothes too ;)
Absolutely agree with Tom on foldi g his shirts immediately as it comes out of dryer. Also I am like Tom, cricket, and my husband is like dawn, ladybug.
"but it's beautiful Dawn" 😂 yes! Crickets (I'm one too) probably don't just like to micro organize but we also like the aesthetic of neatly organized things. When I'm finally done with organizing something I love to look at what I've done, it makes me happy everytime I open an organized drawer and the beauty of it makes me want to maintain it.
I have thought I was a ButterBee. Watching Tom's reaction to you clearing and dumping makes me feel I have major cricket issues. Not that it's an issue, wanting things where they belong and folded shirts. 🙂
Sorry Dawn, but I’m with Tom, I fold my clothes, I hate wrinkles! I love watching your videos, just love seeing you two together. Working on decluttering my house. It’s a long process but your videos have been so helpful! Thank you.❤️
FOLD. And my husband and I folded our clothes totally different ways. We learned to fold the other person's clothes the way they wanted. Lots of compromises in almost 52 years of marriage. 😊
Totally team Tom when it comes to laundry…. I fold neatly….even socks…. I’m one of the rare ones, that starts a load of laundry and completes it within two hours…meaning it’s hung, folded and put away.
@@evawilson6735 I have also never been one to just toss laundry on the floor. When I see that on “clean with me” videos, it drives me insane. I just wanna scream… “they make things called laundry baskets for a reason!” Lol…. Ahhh it’s my OCD right?
Love that! I typically consider folding as part of the entire laundry process as well- love that you consider the time frame for this process. Sometimes I just lay clothes out flat on dresser to fold later but always fold before bed bc like waking up w clean bedroom.
Yes! It's all part of doing the laundry. I hang clothes and fold undies. I don't have a flat surface in our bedroom, but I can easily hold them up to fold them. Yes, we have a bed, but we also have cats and they get on our bed. I don't want cat hair on my clean laundry. I put the laundry away right from the basket. NEVER onto the floor. Not even when they're dirty. They go right into baskets we use as hampers. One for towels, one for my clothes, one for my husbands.
Me too. I hang, fold and put away everything that comes out of the dryer dry. If something needs to hang or lay flat to dry, it gets folded and put away first thing in the morning, while the kettle is heating for breakfast.

I’m with Tom. We never leave anything sitting in the dryer. As soon as it is dry we hang it or fold it. T-shirts get folded like when they were in the package. Socks get put together and folded over.
Neatly folded
Sorry Dawn, I'm a neatly fold person too 😂
It was great to see your working table, because I use mine all the time and love not being closed away in my office. I never imagined throwing clothes into a basket, I love folding neatly. Dawn thank you to opening my eyes to understand others.
I fold everything that isn’t hung up, clothes, towels, linens…go Tom!
So team Dawn for me, in it's place is in it's place, folding is just an unnecessary step to me 🙂
Such a great point!
I had to read comments after she disagreed with him on the 95%. It’s almost 100% lololololololol
@@emmac8482 My husband and daughter are the same! Very, very random and like to see everything or it's "out of sight, out of mind"--I'm not sure that randomness even qualifies for one of the categories, but it's close to butterfly I think.
I gotta side with Tom. I fold everything that doesn’t get hung up.
That's why I hang everything I can. 😄
I agree! It doesn’t take that long to fold. For the kids when they’re small, it’s great, but my hubs wouldn’t like looking like a 7 year old that pulled something out of a bin. Which is why he hangs & folds, too.
I love that you do this video together. Hearing both your perspective actually helps me understand my husband a bit more. He is definitely a cricket
I fold everything and even just watching the method " toss it in a bin" is causing me anxiety!😄
I am a ladybug too but I think folding is important and it's not that time consuming...🐞😘
I NEED to fold all of my things. Shirts, socks, underwear.... I'm also a cricket 🤣
ALWAYS fold. Sorry Dawn. I feel better about getting dressed when all my pieces look their best. 😘
I love how they're laughing through this whole thing!!😂
I’m with Tom on this one: neatly folded. But then, I’m a cricket too!
Fold or hang everything. Love to look in the drawer and see everything at once, kon Mari folded. However, I now let the kids throw their clothes in the drawer with out folding. Thanks Dawn and Cass for helping me see that “my way “ isn’t the only or best way
I'm with Tom on this one too! It *IS* beautiful!
Everything is either folded or hung up. When I open a drawer I like to see everything neat and tidy. I took the quiz, turns out I’m a cricket.
"But it's beautiful, Dawn"
"Yeah."
Lol y'all Crack. Me. Up. 🤣
I vote for neatly fold. The just throw it in method gives me anxiety.
Fold. Not like Tom does it, but definitely fold.
They fit much easier in drawers when they are folded, right?
I fold. Just tossed takes more space, looks messy. Takes a few seconds to just fold.
It takes longer but, it's worth it.
You two are the best! Tom’s comment “it’s like an oasis at his house” had me in tears. 😂 I’m also a cricket hoping for the oasis. 😆
I fold everything that u don’t hang up. Fits in drawers and can easily be found.
I’m on Toms side....nope...MUST fold everything
I agree with Tom. I call it “double work”. I like it done right the first time. I’m not going back having to do it again. No double work for me.
So great to see, how differently we all are. I fold AND iron everything, down to bedsheets, tea towels and undergarments and I am sooo happy every time I open the closet and see everything looking neat and tidy. And yes, I do this to my husband’s and kids clothes too ;)
I can completely understand and respect Tom on soooooooo many levels. My husband is a ladybug and I'm a cricket and we sound a LOT like you two.
When I'm finally done with organizing something I love to look at what I've done, it makes me happy everytime I open an organized drawer and the beauty of it makes me want to maintain it.
yasssssssssss
That is exactly how I feel. I am a cricket also.
I am a cricket in a house of butterflies so I feel your pain Tom. Laughed so hard at "but it's beautiful Dawn!" 😂 I'm with Tom, fold it.
I love the neatly folded undershirts! 😁
Team Tom on this one lol. I fold or hang everything 🤷♀️
Totally team Tom when it comes to laundry…. I fold neatly….even socks…. I’m one of the rare ones, that starts a load of laundry and completes it within two hours…meaning it’s hung, folded and put away.
Exactly !!!
Team Tom!! I’m a cricket too and I fold everything.
