Carlos' S2 made the difference
Not losing too much on the straight, gain grounds and save type at corners, RB again is the better car in race. Once the DRS open, Max will be gone and win again.
Both are using DRS in this comparison
I think we have to look forward to at the race. We know Ferrari this season is known for high tyre deg. I don't how a low drag setup could assist with tyre deg . That's what's gonna make the difference of P1 and P2.
@@pablo-gb3dg yes, and that’s not the point. The lower type deg helps RB to chase and maintain such pace easier and thus longer, while FER is the exact opposite. Not to mention the efficiency of RB’s DRS.
See, in F1 you can't use the parameters of the past and apply it at all the races. Ferrari clearly has the better Straight and DRS speed. Max probable advantage is in the fact that his setup was not quali oriented, while Ferrari certainly pushed for a quali raid and will likely suffer from tyre deg during the race. If there was something magical to Red Bull DRS, Perez would also be at very least extremely close to Sainz too. Being only 13 hundreths behind a quali trimmer rocketship is Max merit.
@@jaguatiricaimediata5305 RB’s DRS advantage is its efficiency, combined with the advantage they have in the floor department, they afford to run more downforce than almost everyone in the grid. That helps reducing sliding and thus type deg. Personally I’m tired to discuss about the front runners and I’m looking forward to see how much Williams can go.
These are very interesting vids. Thanks!
Let's see who's tires last longer tomorrow
man that was fast
Well, we all know Max will win the race unless someone goes into Max at the start.
max is lucky albon does not drive a red bull
@@laimejannister5627 🤣
@@laimejannister5627albon did drove the redbull and was way slower then max
Very cool video - thanx!
fkn hell that was close
Why is this lap slower than last year ? Temperature, soft tyres used or something else ?
temperature and maybe the fact they didnt get so much running with softs
@@qksf1645 Ok thanks
Changes to floor height limitations probably made a difference aswell
Ferrari are gonna chew up the tyres compared to RBR. Easy win for Max unless something wrong happens.
Very nice to hear Leclerc admit he is not capable/confident enough anymore to set up his car by himself and just copies Sainz set up. Always felt Leclerc can push but isnt a great driver to help the team set up and better the car. Thats the that last step holding him from being top tier. Sainz has petrol running through his vains, might be less quick but somehow beat Norris at McLaren in the championships, beat Leclerc in the championship his first year and will probably beat him again this season in the championship. Underrated for sure. Will leave Ferrari 2-1 win against what some consider a top driver, left McLaren 2-0 win against Norris, who some considered top tier too but getting slowly but surely wrecked by Piastri by the end of this season.
The last step holding him is his inconsistency. He is as inconsistent now as when he was in Alfa Romeo. He hasn’t improved.
you on crack? or just spanish biased?
Leclerc got his set up wrong during fp1 and fp2 THIS TIME. so he went for Sainz set up because it was quick. which is the natural thing to do. The conclusion that Leclerc cant ever set up his car right is delusional. The guy has 20 Poles and 5 wins vs Sainz 4 poles and 1 win. Sainz is a second tier driver and it shows every year mate. Is he good? for sure. but he isnt on Lewis, Alonso, Max or Leclerc level. Not even on Russels.
wow he beat Norris when Norris was a rookie. lmao.
Petrol in his veins... 10 seasons in F1 and only one GP win. hilarious.
leclerc has his flaws as a driver, but saying he isn't capable of setting up a car is something i'm gonna have to disagree with you on. And regarding his inconsistencies, it's also important to remember that the ferrari itself is an inconsistent car. as to why sainz is able to cope with it better, is another whole debate that i don't have time to get into.
this is by no means me trash talking your take. it was just something i found interesting
He is a genious
Best proof new rules are working all cars are more equal and it comes up to best driver this seisoon. 1:50
Max did the same time as last year....wow
And sainz was 7 kph faster down the main straight compared to max
But sadly the Race is already decided
its like 1 meter and 25 centimeter difference at the finish with 310kph
What was that sudden gain from Max to the finish line
ERS boost
sainz may have had less energy deployment remaining. red bull has always had a strong ERS package
Different ers deployment
ERS or just a better exit or just more straight line speed
@@ferst262 More straight line speed? Did you not watch the video????
you can see max using his battery at the end of the lap
no better exit everyone use battery
RB betater at traction zone and with better tire wear, RB has advantage at the race. Even if they didn't, Ferrari will do something to throw away the race as they've been doing at every chance they get for the last 2 years.
we'll see what happens to RB from next race when the new TD18 regulation will kick in.
What is the TD18 regulation?
In the last straight suddenly the redbull is faster?? Not possible
0"013 is litterally nothing 😂
It’s a lot in F1. If you are 0.013 faster than someone for 60 laps, that’s a 6 second gap, the difference between having a penalty and not having it.
Very interesting, the Ferrari having higher straightline speed but not a skinny rear wing... it suggests Ferrari showing off in front of the Tifosi wanting pole badly and over stressing the engine, they cant keep that up all race, watch them fall back into Mercedes' grasp.
it's not interesting. Ferrari was preparing for this race really long time. They are using 110% of their engine which helps especially in monza but not in a long run.
and it's going to last only one race.
@@arstotzka8635 Well yeah if it's not interesting then why did you basically repeat what I just said?!?
@@arstotzka8635 Doesn't matter, Verstappen has the measure of anyone right now.
@@1010thechamp you said that it's interesting
So max had more speed coming out of the last corner. If you add drs, he should be able to pass the Ferrari
Isn't that obvious? Given the much better straight seed, with DRS Sainz will also be able to pass Max. The main concern will be tyre degz as the Ferrari has clearly setup for a quali raid, with extreme straight speeds and a lot of sliding around the corners.
@@jaguatiricaimediata5305 They only have that speed due to overheating the engine they are using for this race which is going to last only for this one...
Everyone acting defensive with Max 💀 Sainz drove better than him, no need to mention the race, this is about qualifying
I don't know why people are surprised. The Red Bull is not great in qualification. He did not get pole a number of times.
Just lucky…
Spoiler alert, Sainz drove a faster lap than Verstappen. That's how he beat him to pole.
How did he do it?
@adamozmin8970 PED's bro, Sainz is juiced to the eyeballs. Coza nostra have a lot of money riding on this race, the fix is in and Sainz is their doped up pony. Sauce, trust me bro.
Red bull ran more downforce and honestly they should have used a ultra low drag rear wing to have even better drs
It’ll pay off in the race, besides the lower the drag from the rear wing the less effective DRS is.
more downforce the better on the tires. ferrari will lead then then eat up their tires and Max will go long for an overcut
Cope more, Sainz was faster than Verstappen, get over it
@@ferst262 by 2 hundredths lol. Sainz Max and Sharl had the same time it went to who had the highest top speed
Carlos has to have the lap of his life to beat Max and Charles, when for them it’s just another Saturday…Max didn’t seem to worried he knows he’s got a much better race car that won’t shred tires as quickly as Ferrari Will tomorrow… or at least that’s the thought going in.. and btw I don’t know why Carlos get so much love from the fans dudes a whiny pansy and I lost all respect when in Austria he said Perez was intimidating me and I get what he meant but can you imagine Mansell or Senna or Mika or Schumacher or Max or Alonso any other great driver saying something like that…
Keep crying
bruv, its not the end of the world if leclerc doesnt get pole alright, and you can immedietly thank carlos that he shared his setup with charles, if not he would be way more far👍🏼
Max wins in the long run....qualifying is one thing, race day is another ....
Why so defensive 💀
@@ferst262 😂🤣😂🤣
короче ферс быстрее
RB's chosen more downforce than Ferrari, but Max did not gain on the curves, go figure
Of course he did. He gained a lot on the exit of the curves comparrd to sainz, like you can see on the trackmap at the end. That perfectly shows how much more downforce verstappen has. Have we even watched the same video?
Max fans when he isn’t number one 😂😂😂😂
@@LucasMueller18 I am rooting for max, true. It would be more awesome if the championship would be a hard battle instead of an easy one like that. But too be honest. The only thing that can stop verstappen tomorrow is either his car or if someone takes him out. It would be a positive surprise if ferrari can beat him in the race. But since you are playing my comment with max fan down, where am i wrong? Just tell me, please.
@@SebastianOnline I wasn’t talking to you I was talking to salty max fan who always finds an excuse to downplay other drivers skill because max wasn’t number 1
@@LucasMueller18 Ok. Sry for the misunderstanding.
With 0,00000000000000000000000000001 second. What a victory. Haha. He will set the record straight today.
Lol the end is cheated..
How?
Carlos wasnt quick, he was just at the right place on track, confidence... through out that lap
That’s the definition of quick
he wasnt quick he was just quicker than the rest
@@cjaidableableHe wasn't quick, his competition were slower than he was
@maghyo7950 he wasn't quick. Ferrari have worked out how to bend spacetime continuum.
He wasn't quick, he just took less time to complete the lap
I mean max will still take the lead after the first corner and drive off into the distance, so who cares
Why so defensive 💀 max got beaten, get over it
