Very powerful video Angelo, thanks. I felt my body squirming a bit inside, grief rising, some tears and yeah the feeling I was approaching an edge of something, a drop. I'll watch again for sure.
This was so helpful! I still get glimpses of being awake...it's beautiful but also unsettling...so I run back to the illusion of form and time... I feel like a kid peeking out from under the covers.
essentially every experience stands by itself, whether it takes the form of a glimpse into something... the thought of being excited about being awakened... feeling like you lost the glimpse...it all takes places in your experience, now, seeking something more about life...wanting to arive at an endpoint... they are all it, try to see that how our attention habitually goes into a mode of thinking about the content of what is arising at the moment, and how it seeks an additional meaning in an experience, outside of itself, which is actually non-existent. Every pixel of experience, which are sensations that make up the universe of experience, are only capable of giving information about themselves. Of course in the context of living a life we use what shows up in experience to estimate what can also arise in another moment, which is a very useful tool, but since every estimation- which are thoughts- are bound to an experience, which is only a part of the infinite possibilities of life, they are also limited, and through a limited thought, cannot come a whole understanding, it can only be partial, paradoxically, understanding this limit, is being in touch with the limitedness of life, which is unknowable, and thats beatiful. One may ask, what now ? I understood this, but what happens now ? :D Nothing, you just live your life, and thats beatiful too. Sorry for the long ranting lol.
Angelo...thanks so much. I bounce back and forth between understanding and oblivious. My memories of time are lost so quickly...I thought it was/is because this body turned 56 recently, but it is different...it is as if time doesn't exist after I experience something...it is VERY VERY odd. It is also a bit unsettling....when I speak about things that I have experienced and I recount it to someone, such as my husband...I don't even identify days anymore...I just say..."in the recent past"! It's the best identifier for the "past". I am an end-of-life Doula with hospice and often sit with my patients who are actively transitioning including my mother...which was amazing (I recorded a video about her transition and shared what she was seeing in her experience as she was able to communicate what she was seeing)...was super sacred. Love to share it with you if interested. Anyway, I am feeling like a ping pong ball in this experience and not sure what I am experiencing....rarely do things feel real...I know this space is not ultimate reality....that this is some type of dream, but it is really hard to express that to others because no one seems to understand...it's a pretty lonely experience. I appreciate your content and I love the book you wrote and the subsequent docus. that you made....that was super helpful too. Thank you and much love brother. John
I had a psychedelic trip recently where I was recording my thoughts into a sound recorder. I found myself in this timelessness experience. I tried to speak words to it to describe it and every time I did it just did what I called "made this world real and pulled me back in". I couldn't describe it and when I did the feeling would vanish. At the same time I felt like I was being given a choice between staying in this world and leaving it and I was too scared to let go and fully experience it. I haven't been able to experience anything like that sober but I am probably trying too hard. The message I left myself in notes during that trip was to stop seeking god and truth and just enjoy this life.
I was literally having this realization within the last couple of days. reality is energy and it slows down into Mass to experience time, which is an illusion but a fun game to play ❤
Wow! Amazing subject. I discovered 15 years ago that the past doesn't matter. It was so freeing. But touching on the belief of the future, that absolutly made my foundation shake and caused multiple glimpses, as well a huge resistance to what is. It has now been put into the old perspective again. Maybe l was not ready for that, who knows. This process seems like getting 5 steps forward and 4 steps back.
This is a beautiful and profound merging of my two favorite topics in the church of You Tube….quantum physics and ‘non duality.’ A Thought=observer collapses the wave (eternity) into time a particle ( time) thus creating the appearance of a subject and object and the distance and time between them. If formless light( wisdom -knowing - consciousness) is a quantum field Photons (form) are entangled or simultaneous ( eternal) and unlocated ( infinite). Angelo describes the photon which ‘knows your retina and Andromeda simultaneously.’ These words are an attempt to define the undefinable and bridge the two ‘different subjects’ ( physics and nonduality) which were never separate. lol
This video made me understand that I'm thinking too much while working with pointers. I finally managed to stop the thinking and just watch and had some pretty big shifts, both with this video and other pointers :)
When I asked what is timelessness I fell into to a profound sadness-not fear or falling. The sadness-if it had a voice- seems to say I’m not enough and never will be. Perhaps this belief is sone or all of what keeps me in the mind.
Dear Angelo, I usually don't comment, yet in this case there is an urge to do it. Your way to guide others especially through deeper stages of realization is very unique, as most teachers come not even close to this. There is something that I noticed several times in your video's that might be confusing to some viewers. Your way to show and deconstruct the belief structures and focus on the actual experience are very powerful, yet at other moments you say things that could be seen to affirm the same beliefs. In this case you started with a scientific viewpoint full of thought concepts like time, vast distances and objects in a universe (photons, galaxies) as if that is the reality, while none of that is actually experienced.
@@SimplyAlwaysAwake Not at all. The relative viewpoint is there and provides the framework for a normal life while the absolute is also present. What I want to express, is that it might be confusing specifically to viewers that wish to experience timelessness and spacelessness and break through the belief barriers, when the distinction between a relative and absolute view is not made clear.
@@foolishwatcher I understand what you are saying. I can’t talk about every angle in every video. Based on comments however, the pointing seemed to land.
@@SimplyAlwaysAwake That's good and my concern was unnecessary. I also just watched "Neither This Nor That..." from a few days ago, where you addressed that very point in the beginning of the video.
A video you posted this week talked about thought. Since that video, I've been asking myself "what's my real experience without thought?" I've been asking this in every situation, and what I find is that even when a thought might suggest something is the end of the world, it's nothing I can't bear. I've been trying this question out whenever an embarrassing memory comes to mind, and I literally can't find anything wrong with those memories. There's just a thought that is the problem. In reality, there's no need for me to resit anything. And it seems like I don't actually resist anything.
No problem.. but Memory is in past. This dead structure will not bind in live (Present). You or Your body and senses are in present. Past or memory is not real. You can't drive a car using rear view mirror. Timeless is in now only. All the best.
@@ChrisTina-yc5fh what is thought?. Apart from thought is past, actually there is no such thing as "thought" as a separate entity. Beautiful, bookmarked this one. To the science part: Special Relativity lead to the realization, that all those phenomena (time dilation) can only be true, if time doesn't really exist at all. Special Relativity views the universe as the "Block Universe" where time is just a spatial dimension separating all those events happening simultaneously. Hence the concept of spacetime: space and time are not different. This is not spirituality, this is science, although it takes longer than a comment to prove. And of course there are strong arguments against the fundamentality of space as well... To the experience part: I often (many times a day) find myself asking: how did I get here? What happened before? What caused me to be here and now? All those without accessing thought of course. Funny to realize, that I'm just here and now and the present moment doesn't need a past to depend on.
@@SimplyAlwaysAwake Well, I used to be a rational guy who tried to understand the world but trusted science only (even though I'm not a scientist). After 100s of hours of study what I found was that science says that there is no time, no space, and matter is not what it seems to be, rather a set of potentialities that also possibly coexist. This make the whole world seem to be a mental (spiritual?) plane rather than a physical one. From this point it is suprising to see how rugged the idea of consciousness emerging from matter is, since they already figured that matter is not what it seems to be.' Instead it's easy to see that something that exist (me, whatever I am) cannot be limited by something that doesn't exist (space, time). That would be like commiting a crime and getting caught by Colombo. Different fields of science got most of this figured out, they just didn't notice. This could be taught in schools. And that intellectual realization was that finally led me to look for similarly thinking people. Turned out that guys like the Buddha have been saying this for 2000 years before Newton and science was even born. And that it's not (just) a thought experiment, this can be my perceived reality. That's why I'm here: to realize, what I realized. So to answer your question: science is something any rational mind-driven person like me could see to be true, while spirituality needs a little bit of belief or at least trust in the beginning (that I used to not have). Of course I have that trust now (although setbacks happen), but I gained that trust by seeing that Einstein, Schrödinger, Buddha, You etc. are talking about the same thing from different angles. And I see that your angle is far more rewarding both in truth and in coping with life. And of course I see now that spirituality is all-encompassing science not excluded, so it's probably bad wording on my part. Yet, a lot of people woo-woo spirituality, but they can't woo-woo science.
Yes. Time seems a quite gross overlay, so it's easy to see there is no time. Your exercises of dropping space and dropping overlays are super fun. How to drop movement? We sort of drop parts of the mind construct, like dropping space we still see things.
the most intense parts of my awakening process have been around timelessness. I thought I was going crazy because I could not at all situate myself in time. My memories were also affected, but the worse part of that was also because they were no longer oriented to time. if a memory appeared, I couldn't place it at a certain date - nor could I even really tell if it was "real". I even thought perhaps what I was thinking was a memory was actually either a prediction, or that it was actually a fantasy or dream. and I really couldn't recognize myself in all of it. I kept searching the internet for information and all I could find was psychiatric information on depersonalization and derealization -- and no support for it occurring as a process of psychospiritual evolution/advancement. thanks for your content, in plain language, for people who might be going through this with no context. -shannon
Despite both being made out of thought and both happening in the present, I feel a pretty big texture difference between a lived memory and an imagined scenario like the one about the elf. like the mind subtly gives it this stamp of authenticity that says "Not made up! This actually happened! The real world believes in the past, they won't let you live this down!"
I fucking love this one. So good. One of your best videos. After watching this I get to my gym and the first song on my playlist is “Right Here, Right Now” lol. Couldn’t have planned that any better.
What always trips me up when contemplating timelessness is movement. How can there be movement if there is no time? I am experiencing movement, so I feel like I'm experiencing time.
@3cats2fish84 Contemplate the fact that the only way that you ever "experience" movement is through memory. It's only the comparison between THIS moment and what (seemingly) was the case a split second ago that creates the impression of movement. If you had no capacity to memorize anything, would there be any movement? Now, once you have arrived at an acute awareness of the singularity of THIS moment (by simply pretending that you cannot remember anything, or by recognizing that all memory only ever arises in the present moment), notice that there is no linear progression taking place here. Things are just arising within THIS from everywhere and nowhere, or rather they are just *there* without coming or going at all.
Yes, this was my result as well. Digging deeper it seems that I have an understanding of entropy and microscopic movements occurring even while I'm not experiencing any movement. I'm also sticking on the thought that I can remember starting something, but I can't remember stopping something until I actually stop it, so the difference between the thought of stopping and the remembrance of starting feels like time must have elapsed.
This was THE FIRST 👉 I actually experienced. I can grasp intellectually and sometimes it just sounds like a secret code language that I don't understand. I'm compelled to watch tho❤ there wasn't either not time or timelessness there was just sound sensation sight all floating? Idk. . In vast space? No space? Anyway it was really amazing 🙏🙏🙏💓

I hope you read this and tell me what the piece was so I can find it to record - I think the music alone can bring me back! words can't express my gratitude for what you do to help so many!
I love the way you are doing your videos… are you using an ai tool? I love this video… wow. This just goes deeper and deeper. It is wild has there is an eternal now and the experience of living in that vs the minds timeline. This video is such a deep transmission of the now of light. Thank you ❤
Nebulae and galaxies are different structures in space. Nebulae are clouds of gas and dust, often the birthplaces of stars, while galaxies are vast systems containing billions of stars, planets, and nebulae, all bound by gravity. Nebulae are components within galaxies, but they are not galaxies themselves. Had to post it 😅
Indeed. When they first identified galaxies a few hundred years back through the use of telescopes they called them “nebulas” bc they looked cloudy unlike stars. They didn’t realize they were collections of hundreds of billions of stars much farther away than single stars. Back then they had no idea that giant fields of hydrogen (what we now call nebulae) existed at all.
I think the synchronization of time is also a very interesting question. When did this happen? Who was responsible? Today, it's easy. We can use our cell phones to synchronize our watches and other time pieces. Ten or twenty years ago, we still had the internet to synchronize time pieces. Forty years ago, we could use the television, or call the "time & temperature" phone number. But, what about 100 years ago? Radio, maybe? 150 years ago, though??? What was the method for synchronization of time pieces, especially across large distances. One's mind should be in serious gridlock at this point. However, no one ever asks this question. To me, it's strong evidence we truly are experiencing a dream. Things that are possible now, just don't seem to be possible 150 years ago. Yet, the trains still ran on time 150 years ago. People were still able to meet at specific places at specific times. It's very mysterious!

Yes exactly. But what do you mean that is science not spirituality? What is the distinction you are making between the two?
@@gergelyszekely9778Well stated. I totally agree with you.
Exquisite, thank you!!! ❤

Wowza! Great video. The music and imagery add another depth. Wondering if you could somehow share the music you use in your videos?

Hey, Dr. Angelo.,.
I still only come for the propofol.😅🎉❤
This is amazing. Still attempting to make contact.

good entry thank you
What always trips me up when contemplating timelessness is movement.
@@EnlightenedSchmuckthank you for this comment. It helped me lots 🙏🏻
@@mahareesman 🙂🙏✌️
Well Done bro!
Thanks!
Awesome 👏
Every composition starts as an improvisation.
The music in this is making me way more emotional that it should 😂

@@SimplyAlwaysAwake give whoever that is a raise!
please, what is the music playing, starting about 13:00 and again, maybe a separate piece around 22:00, that last one had such a gentleness and flow to it, I was bawling by the end!

Thank you ❤
No just using different editors
Is the background sound binaural beats??
